Chapter 17
“Oh, it has onions. I know you hate onions,” Kurt said during lunch a few days after the party. He carefully took all the onions out of the salad and put them away.
“You are amazing,” Blaine said and wanted to give him a chaste kiss on a cheek but Kurt turned his head just in time to catch him with his lips.
Jeff growled. “You two are sickening,” he said and continued with his sandwich.
Kurt giggled. “I thought it’s what you wanted,” he said starting to eat his salad.
“We didn’t expect you to be… that,” Santana just moved her hand to intensify how she didn’t like what she was watching. Even though everyone knew she was happy for the boys.
“Do I sense jealousy?” Blaine laughed.
“No, but you will probably sense my puke soon enough,” the girl smirked.
They all laughed and Noah chose that moment to join them. “What are you laughing at?” he asked sitting down next to Jeff.
“Santana is going to vomit because Kurt and Blaine decided to make out in front of us,” Jeff summarised.
“We were not making out. It was just a kiss,” Kurt rolled his eyes.
“Um, Kurt, are you going to eat those onions?” Noah asked. “They look quite lonely over there.”
Kurt pushed his plate closer to Noah so that he could take the pieces. “Help yourself.”
“Thanks. By the way, if you are planning on making out, I wouldn’t puke. Actually, I would gladly watch it,” he smirked.
“Go watch some porn,” Jeff said.
“Would you google it for me, Jeffy?” Noah mocked him and Jeff hit him with his elbow. “I guess, it’s a ‘no’ then.”
“How did you figure?” Jeff asked with a fake disbelief. “By the way, why aren’t you sitting with the ‘purples’ today?”
“Blaine is the only non-loser ‘purple’ here today,” he shrugged as if he had no other choice but to sit with them.
“Well, I’m glad you joined us,” Blaine smiled. “But we are still not going to make out in front of you.”
Kurt watched them carefully. He knew that Blaine and Noah started as ‘whites’ together and they even shared the dorm room. But it was the only thing he knew. Sometimes he wondered what had happened between the boys but he didn’t want to pry even though Blaine may tell him. Kurt was just glad that they seemed to be okay now.
“If only you didn’t know about the camera… You would have totally fucked Kurt on the couch,” he said longingly.
Kurt started coughing and Blaine had to hit his back a few times. “First of all, who said I would have bottomed? And since when are you so interested in gay sex?” he asked once he could breath and speak normally.
“Since my two favourite gays got together.”
“Your… Okay,” Kurt raised one eyebrow. He had no idea where that came from. Not so long ago Noah seemed to hate him for no reason and now Kurt was one of his favourite gays?
“Can we, please, finish eating without mental images of Kurt sticking his dick in Blaine’s ass?” Jeff asked and stuffed the last piece of the sandwich in the mouth.
“Why? Don’t want to get hard in here?” Blaine mocked him.
“I’m leaving,” he said and stood up.
“See you on chatroulette,” Santana waved him.
“What’s a chatroulette?” Noah asked drinking water.
“Why don’t you go and check?” Blaine asked. “I’m sure you would love it.”
“I will give it a try tonight maybe,” Noah said and Santana with Blaine shared a knowing smirk.
<~*~>
It was a long exhausting day and Kurt found himself half asleep in the bed, waiting for Blaine to come back from the shower. Once he was out he put on pyjama pants and went to bed to cuddle with Kurt.
“You look really tired,” he smiled and kissed Kurt’s forehead. “We should get some sleep.”
Kurt looked like he was looking for right words but it took a while for him to figure out how to say what he wanted to. “Blaine?”
“Yes?”
“I’ve been thinking…”
“About?”
“Well, during lunch they kind of assumed that I was bottoming,” Kurt said and Blaine looked at him concerned. “Then I denied it and they assumed it was you.”
“I’m not following, baby.”
“The thing is,” Kurt tried to explain, “we never actually had sex. We always do these amazing things together but never sex. Do you… not want me?”
Blaine cupped Kurt’s cheek and looked straight into his eyes. “I want you. I want you so much it hurts. It literally hurts when you tease me for too long,” he joked. “But we hurried into this relationship. God, you gave me a handjob before becoming my boyfriend. I don’t want to rush anything else. I don’t want to ruin it. Yes, I want you, but I think we should wait.”
Kurt smiled and kissed the boy. “Thank you.”
“For what?”
“For being amazing.”
Now it was Blaine’s turn to kiss Kurt but this time it took longer. “I talked to Tom today. I got us a day off.”
“When?”
“The third of November,” Blaine smirked.
“Three months… I can hardly believe it,” Kurt said and cuddled closer.
“Neither can I. And believe me, I enjoyed every second of it,” he smiled sleepily.
“And there will be plenty of seconds to enjoy in the future.”
“Seconds, minutes, hours… years…”
“I want years.”
Blaine giggled. “I’m sure we will have many years.”
“As many as you want,” Kurt said and felt the sleep take over.
Blaine tried to avoid thoughts about dangers in his job and Kurt’s future job and settled at the thought of him spending years with Kurt. Getting married, buying a nice cosy house together, getting a dog… Maybe even having a child in a few more years. He smiled at the thought of a little family with Kurt and fell asleep peacefully.
<~*~>
The third of November appeared to be a chilly day in London. That’s where Blaine had planned the celebration of their anniversary. It wasn’t anything really special. Just walking around, going to some museums but for Kurt it was one of the best days in his life. They laughed and held hands, they kissed and talked. He was happy and felt safe. It was perfect.
“Matthew! Hey!” they heard while walking in the park.
Kurt didn’t react while Blaine suddenly looked at where the voice was coming from. Kurt noticed that and also looked at the same direction.
“Shit,” Blaine whispered and Kurt understood what was going on. But he didn’t have time to say anything. A girl ran towards them and hugged ‘Matthew’.
“Kate, it’s so good to see you! What a surprise!” Blaine said while hugging the girl back. He did look both surprised and happy; once again Kurt decided that Blaine was a really good actor.
“Good to see you too! I was walking, minding my own business, and then I saw you. I thought I was dreaming. I haven’t seen you for so long…” the girl said; her voice sounded quite familiar.
“Too long I must say.”
“Exactly. We have to catch up. Oh, will you introduce me to your friend?” she asked when she saw Kurt shyly standing next to Blaine.
Show time, Kurt thought before he answered.
“I’m Matthew’s cousin,” he smiled at the girl.
“Cousin? You must be Trevor then. Are you?” she asked, wide smile on the face.
“Yes, this is my favourite cousin Trevor, I have told you so much about,” Blaine said, happy to see that Kurt decided to play the game.
The smile on the girl’s face grew even wider if it’s even possible.
“It’s so great to finally meet you. Matthew has told me a lot about you. I’m very sorry but I’m in a hurry. I’m actually running late. But I do want to meet you again. Maybe for coffee or dinner?” she said taking a piece of paper from her handbag and writing down her phone number. “Call me so we can meet. Oh, and Trevor, don’t forget to bring your wife, I’m dying to meet her.”
They both promised to meet her; she gave both of them hugs and went away quickly.
“My wife?” Kurt asked startled.
<~*~>
“Please, Santana, you have to do this,” Kurt pleaded while he, the girl, Blaine, and Sam were going to the gym.
“What’s in it for me?” she asked reluctant to do what Kurt was asking her.
Sam smiled at her. “You know, it would be a good experience.”
“Fine,” she finally agreed. “So what should I know?”
Blaine thought for a moment. “You don’t actually need to know anything. I worked with her on a mission. Kate is a spoiled rich girl and she needed protection when she was in Japan. I was like her bodyguard. Well, easy job for me, a lot of money for the C.A.T. from her father. Anyways, I’m Matthew, Kurt is my cousin Trevor, and you are his wife Melanie.”
<~*~>
Kurt entered the restaurant with Santana’s hand in his. Blaine was walking in front. He spotted Kate and went to greet her with a huge smile.
“Good evening, beauty,” Blaine kissed her hand and Kate giggled.
“I forgot how chivalrous you used to be,” he smiled. “Hi, Trevor. And you must be Melanie.”
They exchanged ‘nice to meet yous’ and settled to order. Once they ordered Kate appeared to be way more interested in the ‘couple’ than Blaine aka. Matthew.
“As a garbage man you are wearing really nice clothes, Trevor,” she looked strangely at Kurt.
“Excuse me?” he asked.
“Oh, I’m sorry,” Kate looked a little uncomfortable. “I mean, my dad is really rich but I don’t abominate poor people. I mean, someone has to take care of our trash.”
“I believe his job is as praiseworthy as any other,” Santana said looking at him affectionately.
“Of course when you don’t have a job yourself… Or did you get any?” the girl asked looking genuinely interested.
Kurt didn’t even blink before he answered. “She works at a coffee shop. Her mocha is the best in the world,” he smiled at the girl and leaned to kiss her.
“Guys, come on, get a room,” Blaine laughed. “We know you love each other but, please, keep it for your bedroom.”
They all laughed and kept chit chatting not avoiding uncomfortable questions from Kate though, until their food came. From the look at Blaine’s face Kurt could tell that they were doing a great job.
“–and then Trevor jumped into the water,” Blaine laughed.
“And Blaine went right after me,” Kurt giggled.
“Blaine?” Kate asked confused.
“Our dog,” he simply explained.
“I thought you were allergic to dogs,” she said looking at Blaine confused.
“He uses medicine. I always wanted a dog and he wanted to make me happy,” Santana said and ran her fingers through Kurt’s hair.
“Are you?” he asked covering her other hand by his own.
“I couldn’t be happier,” she answered and leaned to kiss him.
“Oh, look, desserts,” Blaine shouted excitedly before their lips could touch.
Kurt giggled. “My dessert is not here.”
“Oh you, naughty boy,” Kate smirked.
<~*~>
Except for some awkward questions the dinner went well. Kurt was happy about himself and Blaine seemed to be proud of how they both handled the situations that could have gotten them caught. So overall it was fine. He just couldn’t shake the feeling that her voice was familiar.
The next morning Kurt went to the cafeteria alone because Blaine wanted to meet someone first. Apparently his former supervisor, who was also in his squad, was coming back to the base and he wanted to meet him before breakfast.
Kurt entered the cafeteria and collided with someone.
“I’m sorry,” he quickly apologised to the girl in a green t-shirt. “Kate?!”
“Um, hi, Kurt,” she said smiling apologetically.
“Rachel?” a familiar voice came from behind Kurt’s back. He quickly turned around to find two boys in purple t-shirts – Blaine and...
“Finn?!”
“Kurt?!”
