The Evacuations were going as scheduled, 90% of the SC had been cleared, all that was left now was few last minute staff trying to make sure no one and nothing of importance was left behind. It had only taken a Sue a few hours to initiate new laws, now that they had a sovereign, The Council was really no longer needed except for a few minor things. All the great House Leaders had already left, along with their staff and any evacuee’s that accepted to take with them. Cooper had taken his people out by helicopter before the storm worsened while Tina and Sue left by Ship. Because of the Snow Storm raging outside, their escapes were easily covered, not even the faintest sign of movement could be detected. Blaine however was a lot more clever than his counter parts, While everyone else was scurrying around making plans to leave, he had several Submarines standing by in the sea. Once the Sub’s docked he and his staff were gone in a few moments, Kurt and Quinn along with them.
Kurt found himself sitting in a cramped room that only contained a Bed, and a few cupboards. He was still trying to process everything that had occurred in the last few hours. Sue, the women he had learned to trust and give his loyalty to, had used him. To her, he was just a pawn in a game that had been going on for ages. Even though such a deceitful move didn’t surprise him, I mean come on, someone that powerful had to have a few tricks of their sleeve, It didn’t mean it hurt any less. Now to top it all off, He discovers that His maker was head of one of the Great Houses, and supposedly his lover.
He started to think about his past, trying to force himself to remember something. But the only thing that ever kept popping up with those damn dreams he had…come to think about it… It did sound like Lord Anderson now that he had time to compare the two. Could it all be true? It is said a Maker has completely control over the new blood they sire, so did that mean he had to do whatever Blaine said? He was so lost inside, not sure of what to do, he climbed up to the head of the bed, curled up in a tight ball and began to cry, until his eyes were too heavy to hold open.
You would think it would be the greatest thing to finally have the one person you cared for back in your life once again, especially after you thought you lost them for good. But Blaine just couldn’t bring himself to be near Kurt, he was angry…furious… Sue had kept Kurt from him, then Manipulated him to gain power, and Blaine allowed her to do it. He was just as weak as the rumors said he was. Now, every time he thought about Kurt, he felt nothing but shame. How could he not see this coming, How can he live with himself knowing that he had abandoned Kurt for weeks to the care of Sue, even if he didn’t know it. He had no clue what to say or even where to begin….
“Captain, how far are we from our destination?”
“Sir, we should be arriving at the coordinates Mr. Sam gave us within the day.”
“Very well, Have Ms. Lopez alert me when we have arrived. Send Communication to Sam, I need to know if everyone else made it out all right.”
Blaine Turned and walked off the Bridge, he had been avoiding Kurt since he brought him on. But this couldn’t keep happening, no matter what his instincts would lead him straight to his room door every time and only through pure willpower did he force himself to step away. Blaine only knew what Kurt must think of him, after he abandoned him that night at the Plantation. But no more he had to do this or else he was going to go even crazier than he had been. He knocked slightly on the door, but no answer, and worry hit him like a brick that he let himself in.
“ummm, Kurt? Is everything ok?” He stopped when he saw Kurt curled up on the bed, eye’s puffy from where he had been crying. He moved quietly to the opposite side of the bed and sat down, taking his hand and moving a strand of hair from Kurt’s Face. God he was beautiful, even more now than when he was human. He reached down and lightly caressing Kurt’s cheek, and was surprised when Kurt nuzzled into Blaine’s hand turning his head slightly, gently grabbing it with his hand and then kissing Blaine’s Fingers. His eyes began to open and he saw what he was doing, immediately jumping up and away from Blaine’s Hand.
“Oh my God, I’m Sorry. I didn’t realize what I was doing, I must have been dreaming or something.” He rubbed his eyes to try and wake himself up.
“Kurt, you’re so adorable. I didn’t mean to scare you, I just couldn’t help myself. Your just as beautiful as the last time we saw each other. I know with your transition you don’t really remember but I want you to know that I’m here for you, regardless of how you feel about me.”
“Listen, Lord Anderson……I….”
“Please Kurt, Call me Blaine. If our past didn’t allow for such familiarity then the fact that we were bumping and grinding not long ago does.” Blaine smiled slyly hoping this would lighten the mood some and allow Kurt to relax. He was rewarded when Kurt Turned Red and had to look away towards the wall.
“My Lord…I mean…Blaine, I don’t really know how to say this, so please, just… let me finish before you say anything ok? I’m freaking out enough on my own here, I don’t need anyone else adding to it.”
“You have my full attention, go ahead!”
“I don’t know you. My Brain tells me I have never seen you before the summit, We’ve never shared any type of emotions, and to me you are just another person, all be it an incredibly Hot person, but still a stranger none the less..”
Blaine felt tears welling up in his eyes, his Kurt truly was gone. He had lost him.. It was impossible for him to hide the sadness in his face. Kurt reached across the bed and took Blaine’s hand, pulling it to his chest to rest above his heart.
“But My heart, even though it’s not beating, says otherwise. My senses are in a frenzy when I’m near you, as if, my body recognizes your scent, your touch, your voice, everything about you. Its true you are a stranger to my memories, but to my Heart, your something more. What exactly that it…scares the shit out of me to be honest.”
“Kurt….”
“Please let me finish. After I first woke up and began to adjust to this life, I started having dreams. Everything was out of focus, and I couldn’t in point anything descriptive, except a voice….singing to me. It was your voice, I know that now. Blaine please, I’m scared, I want to run and hide away from everyone, but no matter what I do, I can’t bring myself to be away from you right now. I need you to be near me. I need….”
Before Kurt could finish his Sentence, Blaine was across the bed, lips pressed against Kurt’s. Blaine held himself there for moment waiting for Kurt to pull back, but instead Kurt reached up and put his arms around Blaine’s neck, embracing the kiss ever more passionately than Blaine had started. Kurt felt Blaine’s hands move to the sides of his waist, touching the bare skin showing between his shirt and jeans. He continued to kiss Blaine Deeply until he felt something slide against his lips. Opening his mouth he allowed Blaine’s tongue to touch his, the two dancing wildly but softly. Blaine began to slide himself down onto the bed bringing Kurt down with him until he was on his back with Kurt on top of him, straddling his waist. In a slow move, the two rolled over to where they were laying face to face on their sides, their lips never parting. Sensations ran through both boys bodies, from head to foot, until there was a knock at the door.
The two stopped but not moving apart, resting their foreheads together. “I swear someone had better be dead or they are about to be!”
Blaine heard Santana’s voice through the door, he didn’t make out what she said by the voice she said it in alarmed him…something was wrong. He climbed off the bed and to the door, opening it to see Santa wearing a face that was both sad and furious.
“Blaine….The City’s Gone. “
“Wait, what? What do you mean gone?”
“ Sonar picked up a large explosion in the water followed by debris descending to the Ocean Floor.”
“Are we sure it’s not the Colony, It should have been Self Destructing not too long ago.”
“No its coming from the Location of the City….Blaine that’s not all, several of the transports have also gone offline, were not sure if they made it out of the blast zone in time. I had the captain launch a Sea Drone to check the area to be positive.”
“ Santana, what was the status of the evacuation? How many transports have gone offline?”
“ The last report said only about 34 citizens remained in the City, trying to shut down on vital equipment. I ran a roll call on all vessels in the area, We’ve lost 5 Sub’s, each carrying around 20 Evacuee’s, 3 topside Ships,1 helicopter. All around, about 234 members. Blaine there’s something else, two of your Lt.’s were on the subs as well, Dave Karofsky, and William Shuester. “
“SHIT! Have the Captain turn around and head back, let’s get as many survivors as we can.”
“Sir, we can’t. The Queen has ordered that everyone continue as planned. No more lives are to be sacrificed even if it’s to save our people.”
“That fucking bitch! The last thing we need to do right now is abandon our people.” Blaine stopped and began to rub the spot between his eyes, trying to calm himself down. He knew it would do no good to lose his temper, especially in a closed area like he was. He couldn’t go against the New Queen, but he couldn’t stand by and allow his people to die.
“Santana, I want you and Wes to meet me in the Captains Office in ten minutes.”
“Yes Sir,” with that she turned and took off down the hall. Blaine walked back into the room and sat down on the end of the bed. Trying to suppress his anger was getting harder to do, he couldn’t stand sitting by in a time of need, he was a fighter, his place was…..
He was surprised when he felt a presence behind him, sliding their arms down his shoulders, while laying their head on his neck. Kurt didn’t know what to do or say, but he felt Blaine’s body call to him. It was a pull that was both fighting and calming. Blaine instantly felt better, allowing all this new positive energy wash over him. He didn’t know how but Kurt has stopped all the negativity and pain that he had been trying to hide.
“Kurt….thank you.. I don’t think you know exactly what your touch does to me.”
“I think I do my love. I feel it deep in the pit of my stomach too… serenity, peace, like…this is where I belong. Following you and supporting you in everything.”
“Kurt, no! You will never be behind me, You are the only person whom I want by my side. You are my equal, My love for you grows with the pass of every second. You don’t know what it’s been like, searching for you for weeks. Like part of myself was gone, and how lost I was.” Blaine had begun to cry, Kurt sensing this began to kiss his neck and whisper to him.
“shhhhhh… its ok… I’m here now, You have found me and I’m not going anywhere. I may not remember what we had, but I feel it. Here, in our touch.”
Blaine tilted his head back and up and was greeted by a small kiss and a huge smile. He had found his heart again, and no matter what he was not going to allow it to slip away again.
“Kurt, I want to spend the rest of our eternal lives together, Proving to you how Much I love you. What’s done in the past can’t be un done, all we can do now is move forward. I swear, ask it and it shall be yours, if you want the moon, then I’ll snatch it from the sky, whatever your heart desires. I don’t want to lose you ever again.”
“My Heart desires only you Blaine. I know it doesn’t make sense, or at least not to me. But I can’ imagine my life without you in it anymore. We have all of eternity to catch up but right now, the others need you. I’ll be here waiting for you to return.” Kurt Kissed Blaine’s cheek, turning to walk away. Blaine Jumped up grabbing Kurt’s hand and pulling in back into a huge hug, holding him there a moment and then kissing the tip of his nose.
“Sweetheart, I just got you back. If you think I’m letting you out of my sight again, you have another thing coming. You are my love and my friend, you are the only person I consider an equal. So Dammit, you’re going to sit through all these meeting by my side, even if they are boring.” Kurt couldn’t help but laugh, Blaine was so serious and yet so comical at the same time. Like a spoiled little child who didn’t want to give up his favorite toy.
“Then I guess we better go, you Said Ten minutes and that was 13 minutes ago.”
Blaine took His hand, and led him out the door towards the Captains office. No matter how dire the situation was, he couldn’t help by smile. He had Kurt again, and his world was complete once again.
………………………………
“ I hear a congratulations is in order…your Majesty.” Jesse was standing in his office just off the bridge of his command ship. He could hear the storm wailing outside but it didn’t do anything to spoil his mood. Before him was a huge monitor in which Sue Sylvester was occupying.
“ Why Thank you St. James, I told you this would be easier than you think. Those fools on the Council bought the whole thing, hook line and sinker. You know when I approached you with this proposal, I wondered if you were going to be with in through the long hall, but you have proven me wrong St. James. Who knew there was a human out there, devious and manipulative as myself.”
“Coming from you, I’ll take that as a compliment. But really Sue, was the Destruction of the City really needed, you won, why go through with the rest of the show?”
“See, just when I thought you’d impress me, you let me down again. Now everyone will be inspired to avenge the deaths of the fallen brethren. They will follow me for an eternity, as long as I give them an enemy to focus on. Now, I believe you have some captives in your Silver Holding Cells. Be a good boy and release them now, but not to convincingly, let them think they escaped.”
“Very well your majesty, until next time.” The monitor in Front of him shut off. He pressed a button on the desk in front of him and a man dressed in body armor carrying a gun entered to the room.
“Sir?”
“The hostages….have all of them assembled into the largest Holding Cell. Then Clear the room of men, Were going to try to do this as quick as possible with as little casualties as possible.”
“Yes Sir, right away”
He flipped a switch and a security feed came onto his screen. He watched as all the people they had scooped up out of the water, who had escaped the sinking transports were bound in silver and moved to the larger cell. It wasn’t many, only about 30 or so. As the doors were locked, and his men exited the room, the hostages began to talk amongst each other, discussing how best to escape. Jesse could hear every word, thanks to the microphones they didn’t know were in the bars. He had listened keenly to how they would wait till a guard came back, assault him through the bars, not caring if the silver burned or not. Taking his keys and freeing themselves. He was truly impressed, Sue and her People were a clever breed, but not as clever as himself.
He reached up to his desk, tapped a few buttons, looking down at his watch. Everyone in the cells were shocked as the ceiling began to open exposing the snowy sky. There was no way the sun could hurt them, the overcast would be there for weeks. Everyone began to shift uncomfortably when they noticed long poles began to slide along the tops of their cell. Before anyone knew what was going on, the UV lights had turned on, and everyone was engulfed in screams and smoke. Jesse just sat there, watching every last one of them burn to ask in his cell, when it was all done a gust of wind carried what was left of their ashes’ into the night.
Sue may have orchestrated this whole façade, but it was in fact he, who would come out on top in the end, not a vile and impure Vampire.
