Kurt spent the next forty minutes in the Anderson's car on their way to some place. Kurt looked out of the window shifting uncomfortably as the pain increased and then subsided. He winced at the pain in his ribs and settled himself down once more.

“We had to rent a new house south of Lima. Everything's gone Blaine...” Jennifer Anderson said as she turned to look back at him. Blaine had inherited his black hair and curls from her. She was a sweet woman compared to the cold man that Grant Anderson was.

“Everything?” he asked uncertainly.

“I'm so sorry dear...” she replied. Kurt let it sink it. Everything. The house, all of Blaine's stuff, all of their stuff. When they got to the new house Jennifer helped him out and into the house. She sat him on the couch as Grant came back in with a bottle of water for him.

“So...so what are we doing?”

“Well, we're not sure,” she replied sitting next to him.

“No, Jenn we know what we're doing. He's coming to London with us. We'll get him away from that thing and straighten him out over there,” Grant said as he crossed his arms.

“Grant! We are not separating them! If I need to stay here with him then I will but we are not letting them break up.”

“I won't discuss this anymore. He's moving to London with us and dumping that boy.”

“He's not a thing and he's more of a man than you'll ever be! I'm not breaking up with him!”

The back of a hand connected with his face and he heard Jennifer start yelling at Grant. He brought his hand to his face and looked up scared. The sting on his cheek was more prominent than any of his other injuries. He didn't pay attention to the words that they were throwing at each other but Grant ended up walking out of the house. Had Blaine actually ever been hit?

“Blaine? Blaine?”

He looked down to Jennifer who was kneeling in front of him looking scared and upset. Her hands wrapped around his.

“I'm okay...Can I go lay down?”

“Of course, sweet heart. Come on,” she said helping him up. They walked down the hall to a bedroom that was slightly decorated. She helped him onto the bed and then left him alone for a minute. When she came back she had ice wrapped up in a towel and placed it on his face.

“While I was gone Burt called. Kurt wants to come over to see you...I said he could. He'll be here in about an hour with his dad. I think seeing him will be good for you.”

“Thank you,” he said. He held the ice to his face as she sat on the bed.

“Mi dispiace, Bambino,” she said sadly. Kurt didn't know much Italian but thankfully he knew this.

“E 'bene mama,” he replied. Kurt kept thinking back onto his and Blaine's conversations and nothing had ever been mentioned about him being hit.

“I've been thinking about finally filing the divorce papers...I just wanted to wait until you were eighteen before I did it. But, I don't want to move to London and I don't want to make you move there with us...”

He didn't know what to say! Blaine had never said anything about this. He looked away closing his eyes hoping she wouldn't expect him to say anything.

“So, tomorrow I'm going to the courthouse. I'm done with him hurting my baby. Also,” she said as she stood up, “Cooper is flying back to help take care of you for now. He was able to get a week off from the firm and if he needs more time they're willing to give it to him.”

“Okay...wake me up when Kurt gets here?” he asked. She nodded and kissed his forehead. She stood up and left him alone in the unfamiliar room. He closed his eyes willing sleep to take over.

When he woke up, a hand was gently shaking him awake. He opened his eyes and looked into his own blue eyes. He sat up with the help of Blaine and smiled as a light kiss was placed to his cheek.

“Blaine...”

“Shh!” he replied. Hearing his voice from somebody else still boggled his mind.

“Blaine...what the hell?! Your father abuses you?”

The color drained from his cheeks as he realized what had happened.

“Kurt, I'm so sorry! I should have told you...”

“Why didn't you?”

“I play this whole front that I'm tough and can deal with things on my own. I was able to deal with it at home...”

“Blaine! He beats you! Your mom just told me before that she's filing for divorce!”

“That wasn't supposed to happen...what did you do!?”

“I did nothing but stick up for myself and he back handed me!”

“I'm so sorry...”

“Then, he walked out and we talked and you really need to teach me Italian! Anyway, she said she was filing for divorce...so that you could stay here and not leave me...”

“My mom was always amazing...she's done a lot for me.”

“How long has he hit you?”

“Since I came out to him...”

“Aww, babe...”

Blaine shrugged his shoulders and Kurt took in the outfit he was wearing.

“I also need to go to my house so I can pick out your outfits for you, especially for school.”

Blaine rolled his eyes and handed an envelope out to him. Kurt looked at the address and saw it was from NYADA. He took it eagerly but then looked at Blaine worried.

“I don't know what it says but they had to accept you! So come on, open it!”

Kurt opened it up pulling it out slowly and unfolding the letter. He read it multiple times over to let it sink in. He folded it up and looked at Blaine with his face all scrunchy. He realized now why Blaine loved the look so much but this wasn't the time.

“I wasn't accepted...”
