“Where's my car?” Kurt asked confused.
“I had the guys take it back to the garage. They're tuning it up for you, making it a lot better. If you're with me I'm making sure your car is good and nothing has been tampered. I don't trust some of the new people who show up,” Blaine said leading him to his car. Blaine opened the door for him and let him in. Blaine closed the door and he got into the driver's side. After they drove for a few minutes they stopped at an ice cream shop.
“I figured since you said you ate already, and it's a hot day, we could get some ice cream and walk,” Blaine said. Kurt got out and turned to face Blaine across the car.
“For doing what you do I didn't take you for such a softie...” Kurt said. Blaine smiled over at him and he could have sworn he saw him blush. Kurt joined him and their fingers laced together. Kurt couldn't help but smile. He'd just met this amazing guy but he was drawn to him and hoped they stayed together. They ordered their ice cream, Blaine getting mint chocolate chip, and Kurt getting cookie dough and walked down the street. They came to the park and decided to walk through. Blaine's hand was still holding Kurt's.
“So, what are these runs you do?” Kurt asked once they were away from people.
“It's nothing...bad. It's basically us hiding stuff in the cars and shipping them or driving them.”
“Like drugs?” Kurt asked scared.
“Hell no! Cooper would never touch drugs. Most of the things we run are car parts...our biggest run and one Cooper said he'd never get involved with again is fire arms. Cooper's buddy who has a group of runners in Kentucky asked him to bring them from up here to down there. So me, Nick, and Jeff made the run,” Blaine said.
“Did somebody want you to run drugs?”
“Oh yeah, a few guys did and Cooper got offered a lot of money but he turned it down. We make do with the usual runs,” Blaine said shrugging. Kurt nodded and they sat down together on one of the benches, their ice cream long gone by now. Blaine put an arm around Kurt's shoulders and held Kurt's hand with the other.
“Blaine? I want to work with you and Cooper. I want to do these runs and help out in the shop. Thank you, Blaine. For getting me that job.”
“Of course. Look...I really like you and I can't explain these feelings because I've never felt like this before but I want this. I want us. Will you be my boyfriend?” Blaine asked. He noticed how Blaine looked down or away. He was shy and Kurt loved this side of him. Maybe in front of his friends he was respected but Kurt adored this side of Blaine.
“I'd love to be. I want this too and I want to know you...” Kurt said. Blaine smiled and pressed his soft, plump lips to Kurt's. Kurt smiled as he pulled away and moved closer to Blaine smiling. He draped his arm over Blaine's lap and laid his head on his shoulder.
“I'll do whatever it takes to protect you,” Blaine said.
That Friday Kurt rode with Blaine to the garage. It was his first time going into the garage. Blaine drove into the garage and parked. The rest of the guys were there talking as they worked. Kurt saw Nick with his Camaro.
“I thought you said it was done?” Kurt said to Blaine as he got out of the his car.
“I thought it was too,” Blaine said. Their fingers laced together as they walked over to the gang. Nick closed the hood to Kurt's car and smiled at him.
“I was double checking everything. I got you more horse power under there thanks to Cooper,” Nick said as he wiped his hands down on a rag. Kurt looked through the garage and saw a tall man with black styled hair walking towards them. He had the same face and jaw line as Blaine but he had icy blue eyes.
“Hey Coop! How was the run?”
“It went good. We got through it all in one piece,” Cooper replied.
“So that means Sebastian made it in one piece?” Blaine asked.
“Sadly, yes,” Cooper replied. Kurt looked at Blaine confused but chose to ignore it.
“Oh well. Maybe next time. Cooper, this is Kurt, my boyfriend. Kurt, this is my older brother Cooper Anderson,” Blaine said. Kurt held his hand out for Cooper. He shook his hand and smiled at Kurt.
“It's nice to finally meet you, Kurt. Blaine's told me a lot about you. Welcome to the gang.”
“Thank you for giving me a job...and thank you for fixing up my car,” Kurt said.
“No problem. Anything for you. Alright, guys, I'm sorry but I need to go. I have a meeting and I need to make sure we'll be clear for tonight. See you all later,” Cooper said waving and leaving them. Kurt watched him go and turned back to Blaine. The guys all went back to work and Blaine and him went to his car. He started it up and smiled at the sound. It sounded very good compared to when he first got it. That Friday was going to be interesting.
