Author's Notes: Last chapter!
1 Year Later

Kurt was leaning into the car checking the engine. He pulled out the belt that needed to be changed and jumped when he saw Cooper behind him. Cooper smiled and held out the new belt to him. Kurt took it and replaced the old one.

“Are you coming Friday?” Cooper asked.

“Maybe...”

“Come on...you know you want to.”

“Cooper, I don't know. You know I don't go anymore. There's no reason to,” Kurt replied. He hadn't gone at all in the past year. He couldn't go anymore. The pain was still too great and he didn't know if he could take it. He worked at the garage though and did what he had to.

“Well then, maybe this will be reason enough. If you beat me in a race, I'll give you what you want.”

“You don't know what I want,” Kurt said.

“That's where you're wrong. I know what you want more than anything else. I'm serious, Kurt. Beat me in a race this Friday and you'll get what you want.”

“We'll see,” Kurt replied. He closed the hood to the car and looked at it. He crossed his arms and sighed. He bit his bottom lip and turned around but Cooper was already gone. He wondered what was so important that Cooper would have him race him and beat him before he told him.

“Sebastian...” he muttered. Cooper knew where he was! Kurt decided to go that Friday. He needed to go.

Turning into the alley brought back some memories. Too many of them. The one that hit him first was the night he met Blaine. He hadn't expected to make a friendship, let alone a relationship, with him at that time. Then, he had him and just as fast he lost him.

Blaine's spot was still open between everyone's cars. Cooper was parked next to it and Jeff on the other side. Kurt parked the car and got out. He'd washed the car just earlier in the day and the paint gleamed in the moonlight.

“I still can't believe you guys managed to fix it up,” David said. Kurt turned to look at the blue Mustang. He'd fixed it up with Cooper's help and he drove it now. Cooper had taken his Camaro and parked it in his garage at his house. Kurt kept the Mustang with him, refusing to drive anything else.

“Glad you could come,” Cooper said. He turned and faced him, determined.

“You said if I show up and race you then I'd get something in return.”

“I did...so does that mean you want to race?”

“Yes...I do.”

“Let's go then,” Cooper replied and moved to his car. Kurt got into the Mustang and looked down at the photo he kept in the car. It was of him and Blaine together on a date. He smiled and turned the car over and pulled up next to Cooper's car. Santana walked over to his car from her spot and leaned into his car. He put the window down and she kissed his cheek.

“Welcome back,” she said. He smiled at her and closed his window. She moved back to the front and held up the flag they used. She looked at both of them and dropped it. The Mustang took off from the starting line.

'You'll never beat him. Your life could depend on it but you wouldn't beat him then. Unless he really likes you'

The words Blaine had said, rang in his ears. He had no hope of beating Cooper. But as they line drew nearer he saw he was in the lead. Not by much though. When they reached the end of the line Kurt slowed the Mustang to a stop and looked down at the photo.

“I'm going to get him...” Kurt said and got out of the car. He walked over to Cooper and crossed his arms.

“You and I are going to Rio, my friend. I've got him,” Cooper said. Kurt smiled and while he stayed calm in appearance he was jumping around in his head. He finally had the bastard and was going to kill him once and for all. He was going to make sure he felt Kurt's pain.

End Notes: The sequel, titled Speed: Revenge, will be posted soon. Thanks for following this story! I hope you join for the sequel!
