“Hi Kurt,” Carole said getting up to hug him. Kurt smiled and hugged her back and went over to Annabelle and hugged her.
“Kurt! I haven't seen you in days.”
“Sorry. I've been busy with work and getting stuff sorted.”
“So I've heard. Blaine's still making time for me though. I know finals are starting up but come on, you can make time for your sister,” she said.
“I know. I know. I'm sorry. Maybe we can do lunch tomorrow? I'll be going out and about tomorrow,” he said.
“Me and Blaine are going out for lunch actually,” she said.
“Oh...why didn't he tell me that,” he muttered. She looked up at him.
“Why should he have to tell you?” she asked.
“Oh...sorry. I mean...I was supposed to drop stuff off at his house. He never told me he was going out,” Kurt said. She just nodded and he sat down on the one chair. Blaine came into the living room then and sat by Annabelle and put an arm around her. She laid her head on his shoulder as they sat back. Kurt looked away and down the hallway. He knew Finn and Rachel were here but where he had no clue.
“Hey Blaine. How's everything going?” Kurt asked.
“Perfect,” Blaine replied smiling. Kurt smiled and looked down at his wrist. The bracelet wasn't on whenever he was around Annabelle and he hated that but it had to be done.
“I'm so glad I met him Kurt. He's truly amazing and sweet. These have been the best months of my life. I can't believe I've been missing out on this amazing family.”
“I know...same. I'm glad he's managed to change your life like he did mine,” Kurt said. She smiled and then got up.
“Quick bathroom break...be right back guys,” she said walking up the stairs. Kurt watched her leave and then got up and went to Blaine and kissed him.
“Watch it,” Blaine said.
“Couldn't help myself...you in this outfit has me going crazy,” Kurt said smiling and went back to his seat. That was when he heard a scream. Kurt and Blaine jumped up and ran upstairs. Kurt looked to see Annabelle standing outside the guest bedroom.
“How could you?!” Annabelle yelled. Kurt pushed Blaine away from him and went to the door dreading what he'd see. He saw Rachel in Finn's arms. Her hair was messed up as was his. Blaine came up behind him and he felt a hand on his lower back.
“Rachel...?” Kurt almost didn't want to believe it.
“Kurt...Kurt, I'm so sorry!”
“I knew it! I knew you were cheating on him and he honestly defended you and said you could never do that! With his brother? I can't believe you! Just friends my ass,” Annabelle said. Kurt just stared at them shocked. He warned Rachel and told her to be smarter than that. Kurt felt everything blowing up in his mind. Before he knew it the tears were rolling down his cheeks. All of them for what Rachel and Finn did and now that he might have to tell the truth to his homophobic sister.
“Why Rachel? How could you? You promised me...” Kurt said. He turned and pushed past Blaine, going downstairs and out of the front door. His father kept asking what happened but he kept going. He got into his car and started it and left. He found himself at The Lima Bean. He went in to grab a coffee and sat at his usual table. For once his sister wasn't there and he was finally alone. Should he tell her now or let it go for a while?
“Kurt...?”
He turned around to see Annabelle, of course, standing a few feet away from him. He turned away and felt a fresh wave of tears roll down his cheeks. He felt her wrap her arms around him.
“I know this won't help you but it's been going on for about six months now. She said she planned on leaving you soon. I'm so sorry Kurt. I know you loved her and would have given her anything,” Annabelle said.
“No...it doesn't help but at least I know and it's over. I hope she's gone now,” he said.
“She's gone. Finn is too. You're parents told them to leave and not come back for now,” he heard someone say. He turned around and saw Blaine standing right behind him. He wanted so much to just run up to him and kiss him but he couldn't. Blaine put a hand on his shoulder and he nodded.
“I'm so sorry Kurt...but don't worry. You'll find somebody a lot better than her,” Annabelle said.
I already have. He wished he could say that sentence out loud but he couldn't. He just knew it though. The person that meant more than anything ever was standing right behind him. He didn't understand how she didn't know. Why couldn't she figure it out that he was really gay and not straight. Everybody else could tell how could she not!? Maybe she was that homophobic. Kurt dreaded having to tell her but he knew eventually it would need to come out. Not tonight though.
“I know...” he replied to her. Blaine and Annabelle took a seat by each other and looked at him.
“Are you okay?” Blaine asked.
“I'll be fine. As long as they stay away from me I'll be fine. I hope they're happy. They get to have what I can't right now...” Kurt mumbled. Blaine's face fell a little more and he could see the sympathy in his hazel eyes.
“Don't worry. It'll all be fine. Why don't you go home and sleep it off?” Blaine asked. Kurt looked up at him. Blaine was smiling at him and Annabelle grabbed Kurt's hand.
“You should do that. You'll feel better in the morning,” Annabelle said. Kurt bit back a smile at that. Going home meant him and Blaine could spend the night together and he can enjoy what life has given him. His phone started buzzing. He looked at the screen. Rachel. He just sighed and answered it.
“Rachel? Why are you calling me?”
“I'm so, so sorry Kurt! You have no idea how sorry I tru-”
“No! You're not sorry. I don't want to hear it. You couldn't have just ended it? You wanted to cheat on me and make me believe we were getting married?”
“Kurt please...we did not expect her to find us.”
“Or me? I told you early on Rachel and I warned you. I can't believe you did this. You knew how much this meant to me,” Kurt replied. Annabelle was looking at him quizzically.
“Kurt I'm so sorry. You know I am. Finn is upset too. We did not mean for this to happen.”
“Of course you didn't. Nobody ever does. I hope you're happy,” Kurt said and then hung up.
“Are you okay?” Annabelle asked.
“Do I look or sound it? No,” Kurt said getting up and walking out. He got in his car and drove the two hours home. He didn't know what to do at this point. He pulled into the garage and went into the house. He hung his keys up and went into the living room. He put the music on and laid on the couch. He took his necklace off and put the ring on his left ring finger. He ran his fingers over it and smiled. He must have drifted off to sleep because he felt somebody put their hand on his face and he opened his eyes. Blaine was kneeling by the couch.
“Hi,” Blaine said.
“Hi. Did you just get home?”
“Yeah. I wanted to get you up so you can come up to our bed and sleep,” he replied.
“Do I have to? 'm so comfy here and tired,” Kurt said yawning.
“Come on. You'll feel better,” Blaine said. Kurt sat up and got up to go upstairs.
“How's Annabelle?”
“She's mad at Rachel and Finn but she's worried for you. She said I should talk to you because I know what it's like to have somebody cheat on them,” Blaine said. Kurt's head shot up and he glared at Blaine.
“Her words! Not mine. Okay they are kind of mine because of how we explained my story but still. You would never do that to me and I know that. And I would never cheat on you,” Blaine said putting his hands up.
“I know...I know. It just..it hurts. I'm so mad that Rachel did this,” Kurt said.
“I know. So am I. I have to say though, you are pulling off the heartbroken lover really good right now,” Blaine said. Kurt shook his head and went into their bedroom. He put on sweatpants and one of Blaine's tee shirts. Blaine wore his sweatpants and no tee. Kurt loved him for it. They laid down together and Blaine wrapped Kurt into his arms. Kurt put his head on Blaine's chest as Blaine kissed his head.
“I'm so sorry about tonight...but just think about it. You don't have to fake your relationship anymore. Just keep us quiet. I still have to fake it with her,” Blaine said.
“I know...and I could help you out with that and let her find us together...?” Kurt replied smiling.
“That would not be good at all,” Blaine said laughing. Kurt smiled and kissed Blaine's neck.
“Good night Blaine. I love you,” he said.
“Good night baby. I love you too,” Blaine replied.

ugh. This story idea is awesome, but I really want to punch Annabelle in the face. She needs to walk in on Kurt and Blaine making out or something. Jeez. (sighs) whywhywhywhyWHY would Rachel and Finn even CONSIDER doing something with Annabelle in the same vicinity? They really aren't that bright are they? Oh well. I just sit here waiting for the update. I really enjoy this story. Continue in your awesome-ness. ~Bella
Thanks for reading and reviewing! :) I would definitely let you punch her, I want to also. Lol. And don't worry she just might find them together. I have that all planned! :D I guess they aren't that bright. I'm so glad you like the story! :D That means so much! Thank you so much! Tomorrow afternoon it'll be up!
Nice conflict. I'm very excited to see how this continues. Question I know this isn't a song fic but it would be great to add to the angst annabelle falling inlove with blainers voice.
Shiz! I didn't even think about using his voice! I love Blainers so much too I'm surprised I didn't consider that. If I do a sequel I just might have to make it a song fic and have her fall all over again...Lol...I couldn't do that though...I'd feel awful..who knows! :)
Yes Kurt should help Blaine and let Annabelle catch them together :). Rachel and Finn had a right to do that I hate that Kurt and Blaine are mad at them. Blaine is leading that annoying girl on.
