“She likes him?” Rachel asked, again.
“Yes. She wants to go out with him and he's going to try to stop her from keeping it up but I think it's going to be tough to get her away,” Kurt said.
“You said it was okay though,” Rachel though.
“I couldn't say no and risk her finding out. I had to say okay. The rest is up to Blaine,” he said.
“So, we're spying now?”
“Basically,” he said. He pulled into The Lima Bean and saw Blaine's black Aspen there. He got out with Rachel and they went inside. He saw Blaine sitting facing him. Annabelle was away from him. He got their coffee and had Rachel get a table. He sat down facing Blaine and smiled. Blaine looked down then back at him smiling.
“Looks like they are just talking,” Rachel said.
“I know. I just don't want her doing something I'll hate her for,” Kurt said. Kurt was never the jealous type but right now he was. They sat there for about an hour before Annabelle started getting her stuff together. Kurt watched her as she got her stuff put away. Annabelle and Blaine stood up and Kurt watched them closely. Annabelle leaned over and kissed Blaine. Kurt felt his stomach twist and he got up and walked out the side door. Rachel was right behind as he got to his car. She grabbed his arms and looked up at him. The tears fell down his cheeks and he felt so stupid. He started to wipe the tears away.
“Why am I crying? What's wrong with me Rachel?”
“Nothing's wrong. It's understandable. She's coming over...keep your head down,” Rachel said.
“Hey guys! Fancy seeing you here! Wait...is he okay?” Annabelle asked. Kurt looked up at her. Blaine was beside her holding her hand.
“He'll be okay. Uh...one of his uh...students died. One of his coworkers called him to tell him just now,” Rachel said stuttering out the lie. Kurt decided he'd smack her later on for that.
“Why don't you take off and I'll call you later,” Blaine said to Annabelle. She just nodded and they hugged and she left. Blaine came over to him and looked down at him.
“I'm sorry. I just--” Kurt started saying until Blaine cut him off.
“Saw her kiss me. I know. I'm sorry. We just kept talking and she said she liked me and wanted to know if we could meet up again. I said sure and then we kissed. I need to seem interested or it'll make things worse,” Blaine said. Kurt sighed and rubbed his temples.
“I know...believe me I know. I just wasn't expecting it. It was the first time you two went out! Does she not have decency?”
“You're going to have to expect it. If we 'get together' then you'll be seeing us like that,” Blaine said. Kurt nodded and wiped his cheeks.
“This whole plan is so screwed up,” Kurt said.
“I know. What can we do though?”
“Just tell her you aren't ready for another relationship,” Rachel said.
“After that kiss and how we've been talking she'll never believe it and it would really hurt her. I don't like her at all like that but she won't take no for an answer. She's definitely more forward than you ever were,” Blaine said smiling. Kurt just looked up at him frowning.
“Yeah, yeah. Not me, you,” Kurt said. A small smile played at his lips as he remembered how he and Blaine had danced around each other for months.
“Why don't we go out dinner tonight in Westerville, away from here. That way we won't run into her,” Blaine said.
“Sounds good. Look...Blaine I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do this,” Kurt said.
“It's okay.”
“Let me take Rachel home and then I'll meet you at our house,” Kurt said.
“Oh...um...I called Finn to come pick me up. We're going to go out for lunch,” she said.
“Okay...just don't let her see you. Don't be stupid Rachel,” Kurt said.
“It'll be fine,” Rachel said. She went to sit on one of the benches to wait for Finn. Blaine went to his car and Kurt started his and left. When he got back to their house he went in to get ready to go out. Kurt heard Blaine come in a few minutes later. He went down the stairs and heard Blaine on the phone.
“We can do lunch tomorrow if you'd like. I'm free tomorrow as long as I get my papers graded tonight,” Blaine said. Kurt just sighed and listened to the rest.
“No, I'm staying in tonight,” Blaine said. Kurt walked downstairs all the way and towards Blaine. He was standing over his bag and looked up at him.
“No! I mean...not tonight. Don't come over. Like I said I have a lot of work to get caught up with and I need to start my lesson plans for next quarter and finish those papers,” Blaine said. Kurt laughed as Blaine shushed him. Kurt stuck his tongue out at him and went into the kitchen.
“Why are you in Westerville?”
Kurt's stomach dropped and he went into the front room. Blaine's face was horrified.
“No...like I said I'm busy. How do you know Kurt is here?”
This was not going to end well. Kurt watched him wondering what was going on. Kurt concluded this girl was literally a stalker. Did she have nothing better to do then follow Blaine?
“He usually helps me with papers when I get backed up so that's why he's over. For the last time I'll see you tomorrow for lunch. I can't go out tonight,” Blaine said. Kurt sighed and went back upstairs to change into some comfier clothes. Blaine came into their bedroom as he put sweatpants on.
“Change of plans, right?” Kurt said tightly.
“Yeah. Dinner in tonight. I called for a pizza,” Blaine said.
“Figures,” Kurt said smiling. Blaine came over to him and hugged him.
“I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have answered the phone,” Blaine said as he held him close. Kurt just shook his head and pushed away leaving the room and went downstairs. He felt bad for doing that to Blaine but the one night they could have been together it got ruined. Kurt got himself a glass of water and sat at the dinner table. Blaine walked in with jeans and a t-shirt on and sat down by him.
“If she stops by I'm going to say you were just leaving,” Blaine said.
“She better not stop by...I want just one evening without her wanting you to herself. Also, please don't do something stupid with her,” Kurt said.
“I don't plan on it. It's not going to get serious. I will call it off before it gets serious. I promise. Don't you trust me?” Blaine said.
“Yes! Yes, I do! I'm just afraid of seeing her all over you,” Kurt said sighing. He put his head in his hands and looked back at Blaine.
“I'm sorry...I don't mean to be like this,” he said getting up and going behind Blaine. He wrapped his arms around Blaine's shoulders and kissed his neck.
“It's okay. I understand,” he said turning around and putting a hand on Kurt's face and rubbed his thumb over his cheek.
“Why don't you go get your papers that you need to grade?”
“I guess I should start them. Help me?” Blaine asked.
“Just because I have a minor in English doesn't mean I have to always help you out,” Kurt said.
“There's an answer key and two essays. You do the multiple choice questions and I can do the essays. Sound good?” Blaine said. Kurt shook his head and smiled.
“Fine,” he said. After half of the papers were finished and half the pizza was done they went to watch a movie together. They soon decided on Finding Nemo and sat down on the couch. Kurt laid his head on Blaine's chest. They were half way through the movie when the doorbell rang. Kurt sat up straight and looked at Blaine. Blaine got up and went to the window and looked out.
“It's Annabelle. Turn it off and put some game on,” Blaine said sullenly. Kurt turned to the game and sat back fixing his hair frustrated.
“Hi Annabelle. What are you doing here? Is everything okay?”
“Yeah. Everything is fine. I just...I'm sorry. I know you told me to not come by but I was hoping to see if Kurt would want to go out when he was done. There's this bar I go to and I thought he'd like to join me. We could talk a little bit,” Annabelle said. Blaine laughed and looked back at Kurt.
“It's okay that you showed up. We were just watching the game. I got my papers done about half an hour ago,” Blaine said. Kurt got up and went over to the door.
“Hi Annabelle. I'd love to go out but I can't tonight. I need to head out as soon as the game is over. Why don't you see if Rachel would like to go. She didn't have any plans for tonight or tomorrow,” Kurt said.
“Sure. I'll call her then. I'll see you later Kurt. See you tomorrow Blaine,” Annabelle said. She looked at Kurt questioningly. She turned and left and Blaine shut the door. When they knew she was gone they went back to their movie.
“She's going to be tough to handle,” Kurt said.
“Yeah...she is,” Blaine said. Kurt put his head back on Blaine's chest and Blaine put an arm around him and grabbed his hand.
Comments
Coffee scene was a bit rushed. You should play around with metaphors and similes along with other tropes to bring a better bang to your words. Ex: Kurt watched the two pack, giving rachel the thank god that's over glance and sure enough; Annabelle leaned in and gave blaine, the love of his life, a kiss. Kurt was sure his heart stopped but somehow his legs threw him out that glass door. His stomach churned like butter, as his throat tighten as if being choked from the inside out. His vison blured with the salt water leaking from his eyes. The car was close but every stride kurts legs felt more and more like jelly. Again I'm on a mobile phone sorry bout the grammer issues but do you see what I'm getting at with the english tools
I see what you're saying. Detail is one of my worst things but I am trying to work on that. Thank you for reviewing and suggesting.
I am not to crazy about how annabelle is acting. Blaine should really tell her he doesn'twant to date anybody instead of trying to help Kurt. I like the whole story but she is pushing it and Kurt is getting mad.
