Author's Notes: A shorter chapter but it's just a filler...some stuff will come out next chapter. Thanks for reading!
The next night Blaine pulled into the driveway and shut the car off. He got out and went to the other side of the car and got out the bag of food. He had found a Chinese place earlier and they ordered some for the night. Blaine opened the door and walked into the living room. He looked over to the couch and saw Kurt and Annabelle watching Mamma Mia! Together. Kurt paused the movie and they turned back to him. He walked over and put the bag on the table.
“Okay...dig in,” he said. He took his sweet and sour chicken with rice and sat down on a chair. Kurt pouted at him for sitting there and took his own food. They sat in silence until Annabelle spoke up.
“How do you know when you really, really like somebody?” she asked. Blaine was floored by this question. What was she getting at? Did she still like him and the feelings only intensified?
“It depends...sometimes you just feel complete...other times you're just happier with somebody. If they make you laugh and smile it also shows that you like them that much,” Kurt said. Blaine swallowed his bite and looked down.
“Sometimes you don't realize it for months,” Kurt said looking at Blaine. He smiled back up at him and replied back to him.
“Sometimes it's love at first sight and you draw hearts in your notebook with your names in it,” he said. Kurt gawked at him and then turned to her.
“Sometimes it takes the death of a bird and a song to bring out everything he felt even though it was all being shoved in his face since they met. Oh! It could also be Valentine's Day and him singing to somebody else,” Kurt said
“Sometimes you think that because he knows your coffee order that he likes you,” Blaine shot back at him. Kurt snorted and turned back to Annabelle.
“You'll know when you like somebody. You can tell,” Kurt said.
“According to Kurt you make puppy eyes at the person all of the time,” Blaine said.
“Wow...you two,” Annabelle said laughing.
“It's true though. When we were younger is puppy dog eyes always got me. He was so hard to say no to,” Kurt said.
“Still am,” Blaine said winking. Annabelle started laughing and shook her head.
“You two already seem like a married couple,” she said.
“We would have been already if Ohio would legalize it. It won't happen though...not in our lifetime at least or ever,” Kurt said.
“He's right,” Blaine said.
“Aren't I always right?” Kurt said. Blaine rolled his eyes and returned to eating.
“Do you like somebody?” Kurt asked. Blaine hoped that she didn't like him. She seemed to not get over him yet but he hoped that maybe she found somebody else by now.
“I do...it's complicated though,” she said. Blaine felt his heart twist and worried about what she'd say next.
“Explain,” Kurt said stiffly. Blaine sat back to finish eating and listen to her.
