Author's Notes: One more update...not another until later tomorrow or early Monday.
The next day Blaine managed to get out of the house and take Annabelle out for lunch. He took her to a different diner instead of the usual. About half way through the meal his phone started ringing. He rolled his eyes and looked at the screen. It felt like his heart was breaking all over again.

“Are you okay?” Annabelle asked him worried. He hit answer on his phone and put it to his ear slowly.

“Hello?” he said warily.

“Blaine?” the soft voice asked. Blaine smiled a little and sat back against the booth seat.

“Mom...hi,” Blaine said. Annabelle looked at him confused now. Blaine shook his head at her and waited for his mother to talk.

“Blaine, I heard that you and Kurt plan on getting married. I was wondering if maybe you and me could start meeting up and talking. I'd love to be able to be a part of your future with Kurt,” she said.

“We do plan on getting married...next year. I said it once and I'll say it again...if you're with dad I don't want you around. He'll only come after us and hurt you or Kurt and I don't need that,” Blaine replied. He took a deep breath and waited for her to reply.

“I've left him Blaine...I filed the divorce papers. I can't stand to not be in your life. I need to know you're happy and safe,” she said.

“I am...I'm with Kurt and his family. Everything's been perfect,” he said.

“Oh...your father heard you were dating a girl...”

“Oh no...no, no, no...that was something else. That was nothing. We're just good friends,” Blaine said looking up at Annabelle. How the hell did his father hear about that?

“He was so happy and couldn't wait to find you and welcome her to the family...I didn't, couldn't believe it. I'm happy it's not true,” she said. Blaine let out the breath he didn't realize he was holding.

“Look honey I need to go but please...call me back?” she asked.

“Sure. I will.”

He hung up the phone and looked up at Annabelle.

“Who was that?” she asked.

“Maybe you know from what I've explained before about my parents and how my dad was...awful. Well my mom is finally divorcing him. Also, he heard from somebody that I was dating a girl and he thought it was true and couldn't wait to meet her. I told her though it's not true as you...know,” he said.

“Why don't we...get together and go see your dad. That would be fun,” she said.

“No...it wouldn't. I came out to him and I've been with Kurt for years and defended Kurt so much in front of him that if I did this I would not hear the end of it,” Blaine said. He noticed she looked a little hurt but he shook it away. He never had feelings for her and he hoped she could get rid of hers for him.

“He hurt you so much though...why not build this up only to break it to him that you're still with Kurt? That would hurt him...I guess,” she said shrugging her shoulders.

“Anna...please. No. I'm not doing anything with him anymore. I'm done,” Blaine said starting to get irritated.

“Okay...okay. Sorry I brought it up...” she said.

“It's okay...I just...I haven't spoken to my father in years and don't need to be drawn back into his world,” Blaine said. She looked at him sympathetically and returned to eating. He sent Kurt a text message about the phone call but nothing about Anna. Blaine would solve her problem with him on his own. He hoped though that she had finally been able to move on.

“Anna...have you moved on yet?”

“Moved on from what?” she asked.

“Moved on from...us...” Blaine said hesitantly. He looked at her worried and saw that she got upset.

“For the most part...I still like you...who doesn't like you though? You're amazing. I think what's eating me most is the fact that I couldn't see that you were gay...” she said.

“Well...honestly I can pull it off pretty good. I can pull it off better than your brother ever could so I can see why you feel that way. Anna you're amazing and you're going to find somebody just like you soon. You're still young...you have years,” Blaine said.

“I know...I just feel like I'm not going to find somebody. You and Kurt have been together since high school. A lot of my friends are still with their high school boyfriends or girlfriends,” she said.

“You just focus on you, your schooling, and your career. Also, don't settle for the first person you meet. Be smart,” he said smiling at her.

“Thanks...I won't. I have always put school above everything so far,” she said.

“Then don't stop now. One mistake and you can screw it up,” Blaine said. She nodded and looked out of the window.

“I promise. School will be my main priority,” she said.

“Good,” he replied.

Oh my god! I was not expecting that!!! His mom. My throat actually got tight for him. I am so glad I didn't ask for spoilers. I can't wait to see where this goes! Wow his mother though. I've written her as so many different types of women. I can't wait to see how she is in this.

I've always made his mom the loving one. No matter what story. Haha! I couldn't spoil this because this was supposed to be chapter 4 so now I need to redo a chapter.

I am glad he didn't do what annabelle said about lying to his dad.
