It wasn't easy. Kurt knew it wouldn't be easy but it would eventually work out. Now one month later he was much closer with Annabelle than ever before. They had talked a little bit each day and he had her out at the mall now with him and Blaine. He had convinced her to let him get rid of her wardrobe and bring in a new one. If there was one thing he made sure she learned it was that fashion meant everything to him.

“You don't dress bad you just need some new clothes and that's what I'm here for,” Kurt said to her. She grunted and looked around. Her and Blaine were both holding bags and Blaine rolled his eyes.

“Once he's on a roll don't try and stop him...” Blaine said laughing at her. She sighed as Kurt grabbed some more clothes.

“Are we done yet?” she asked. Blaine crack up laughing at her.

“You wish...” he said. She smacked him on the arm and Kurt stuck his tongue out at them. He put some of the clothes down and kept a few of them.

“Okay...I'm done. Let's go check out and get some lunch.”

“About time!” Blaine said jumping up. Kurt shook his head at him and kissed his cheek.

“You've been with him how many years and you still aren't used to this?” Annabelle asked. Blaine laughed and shook his head.

“You'll never get used to it...” Blaine said. Kurt rolled his eyes and went to the check out line. He pulled out his card and paid for the clothing and took the three bags.

“I will pay you back for all of this. You really didn't need to do this,” she said.

“It's okay...think of it as your very early birthday and I'm-really-sorry-I-lied gifts. I know it won't make up for everything but I owe you a lot. Plus, you're my baby sister so I should get to spoil you,” Kurt said. He smiled at Annabelle and she just shook her head at him.

“I'm still going to pay you back,” she said.

“Pay me back by just being in my life? I think that's good enough. You don't know how bad I've wanted a sister to spoil and be able to dress up,” he said laughing. When they got out to the car and put the bags in the back of Blaine's Aspen they went to the diner that Blaine always went to. They got seated, Kurt by Annabelle and Blaine on the other side, and ordered their food immediately.

“I know it's early but me and Blaine wanted to ask you something,” Kurt said. She looked at him worried and cast a glance at Blaine.

“Me and Kurt were planning a trip to New York in July and wanted to know if you would like to join us. It'd be for a week. I was able to get us a good hotel. We'll have the view of the city,” Blaine said.

“Wow...I'd love to! It'll be nice to have a vacation from Ohio. I honestly hate it...I need something more. That's what school was for. I'm going back in the fall semester,” she said.

“What were you going for?” Kurt asked.

“English major into Pre-Law still. But I'm a semester behind,” she said.

“Well, if you ever need help I can help you out with the English major part,” Blaine said. She smiled at him and looked back at Kurt.

“What made you want to teach?” she asked.

“I just wanted to. I wanted something to do with music and that was it. I love the elementary school too. The kids are amazing,” Kurt said.

“I want to teach high school English but law just took over my mind. I was in Advanced English in high school and took AP English in my senior year. I actually got a five on the test. It's really hard to get but somehow I did. I was thrilled,” she said.

“I got a four on it and Blaine got a five,” Kurt said. When they got their food they quieted down until Blaine pulled out an envelope and handed it to Kurt. Kurt took it hesitantly and looked at it.

“What is this?”

“It's something small for you and me in New York City,” Blaine said. Kurt opened the envelope to find two tickets to Wicked inside. Kurt withheld the squeal the best he could and looked up at Blaine.

“You are amazing! I wish I could kiss you right now,” he said with a huge grin on his face.

“Also...Happy Birthday,” Blaine said smiling at him and winked. Annabelle smacked Kurt's arm.

“It's your birthday? Why would you buy all of those clothes for me? Buy yourself something,” she said taking a bite of her salad.

“Yes...it is. I got to spend the day with you. Doesn't matter who I spent what on. I got to be with you for the day and with Blaine and that's all I wanted,” Kurt said. She looked up at him and shook her head.

“Well then...Happy Birthday,” she said hugging him awkwardly in the booth. Kurt chuckled and hugged her back.
