Author's Notes: I feel this is my best chapter to date in this story. Kind of an angsty chapter so have fun! :) Thanks for reading!
Blaine took another shot of the tequila with Kurt by his side. He didn't think Kurt could hold his alcohol well but he was proving him wrong. Blaine put the little shot glass down and turned to him. Kurt was smiling at him and asked for another shot.

“So...how did your date go?”

“I don't know...he wants us to be together but...I don't know...”

“Don't rush into something you're not ready for.”

“I know...how are things between you and Leo?”

“Um...we're probably not going to make it much further...we've done nothing but fight and ignore each other,” Kurt said taking his shot. Blaine asked for a beer instead of the tequila and looked over at Kurt sadly.

“Still regret our kiss?” Blaine asked.

“I don't regret it...maybe a little...but I'm in a relationship...I cheated on him...”

“Not unless he finds out and you say it was me...then you would be fine,” Blaine said.

“I don't want to do that though...that's not fair to you,” Kurt replied. Blaine took a drink of the beer and sighed.

“Right now, I could care less what happens to me. He hurt you and I can't stand to think he's capable of doing that to you...”

“I'll be fine. It was once. It won't happen again,” Kurt said.

“That's what they all say,” Blaine replied and finished his beer. He ordered another one hoping the night would drag on. He never wanted to end up back in this place but he was and slowly he was welcoming it more and more.

Kurt struggled to keep Blaine standing as they made their way up to the apartment. Kurt had tried to get him to stop drinking but Blaine wouldn't let him do anything. Kurt sat back helplessly wondering how he could get him away from the bar. Now hours later, Blaine barely awake and slurring his words and incapable of walking on his own.

Kurt put the key into the door and opened it up. He laid Blaine on the couch and then went to close and lock up the door. He walked back over to Blaine slowly who was rubbing his temples.

“Mmm...did I ever tell you I love...the way...the way you smell?”

Kurt chuckled and shook his head saying, “nope...you never have.”

“Well...well you do. You smell...really good.”

“Thank you...I guess...”

“Did I...did I ever...say that...I...”

And Blaine stopped talking. His goofy grin went away and a frown replaced it. Kurt grew concerned and sat down by Blaine and put his hand over Blaine's.

“That what?”

“I'm...reminded...I'll never get you ev-every time...I see Leo,” Blaine said, lacing venom on the name of Kurt's boyfriend. Kurt looked at him confused and shocked. Kurt took his hand away and looked at the plain white carpeting sadly. He wanted to let Blaine in but he had Leo...Leo and him were meant to be together, right?

“Blaine...”

“You...you remind me of...Sebastian so much,” Blaine said his voice cracking on Sebastian and bursting into tears. Kurt turned to him concerned and sat Blaine up against the couch. Kurt put his hand on Blaine's face and turned his head to look him in his eyes. Broken and lost amber eyes looked into his blue ones. Kurt wanted so badly to press his lips to Blaine's and contemplated it but he bit his lip and looked down.

“I like you Kurt...God...that sounds...sounds awful and...childish but...I do. I really do and I can't stand it...cause...cause I'll never get you...that story I told you...a while ago...about liking somebody who was happy where he was...was you.”

“Blaine...”

“I just want to love...and be loved once...once more. I just want to be...happy. God...you must think I'm...I'm an idiot and not...not feel the same way,” Blaine said through his tears. Kurt felt his heart shattering in his chest with each word Blaine said. Kurt wanted the same thing and he thought he had that with Leo but maybe he was wrong. Maybe Blaine was the one who could change his whole world...whose world he could change.

“I miss...mi-miss him so much...”

Kurt scooted closer to Blaine and pulled him closer. Blaine's head rested on his shoulder. Kurt wrapped his arms around him and held him close to his body. Warmth radiated off of Blaine and Kurt wanted to always lay right next to him. He doesn't know when he fell asleep but eventually Blaine is calmed down enough and his sniffles fade into silence and even breathing replaces it. Kurt kissed his head of curls and smiled.

“I know you miss him...I want to love you Blaine...I have for a few weeks now actually. I just...I'm afraid of Leo and what he'll do to me if I ever end it...please...please don't ever leave me,” Kurt whispered to him. He doesn't know if Blaine heard him and doubts it but it was something he'd needed to say for a while.

When Kurt woke up he was alone on the couch and a headache was racking his brain. The space next to him is cool so he figured Blaine must have been up for a while. He moved slowly to stretch his stiff limbs. Standing up he moved into the kitchen to get a glass of water and ibuprofen. Kurt took a drink and some ibuprofen to help his headache. He grabbed more ibuprofen and made his way down the hall and into the bathroom. In front of the toilet, on his knees, dry heaving, was Blaine.

“Feeling shitty?” Kurt asked.

“That's...an understatement.”

“Thought so. Maybe you should give up the drinking,” Kurt said. He held his hand out with the medicine and the water and Blaine took it.

“Thank you...” Blaine said smiling. He took them and finished off the glass of water.

“You don't remember last night...do you?” Kurt asked.

“No...”

“Do you want to know what you said?”

“Oh god...” Blaine said rolling over and hiding his face. Kurt grabbed a towel, wet it, and sat by Blaine on the floor. He moved Blaine's head and wiped down his face a little.

“You said you liked me...”

“Oh god...I'm so sorry...please ignore me...it was the alcohol...”

“Was it? They say alcohol is the best truth serum. Maybe it was all you needed to finally open up...”

“I can't love somebody Kurt...as much as I want to I can't.”

“Why? What's holding you back?”

“Sebastian...I promised I'd never love another.”

“He'd want to see you happy Blaine...not struggling. Not turning back to alcohol. Not hiding your feelings because you promised you'd never fall in love again.”

“But...he was everything to me...I can't replace him...”

“I'm not saying replace him. I'm saying make yourself happy. Last night, you also said I remind you of him.”

“Did I?” Blaine asked.

“You said those things because you've been wanting to but you needed some encouragement, like alcohol. Don't deny me anymore...do you really like me?”

The silence dragged on slowly and each minute, each second, was a knife lodged in Kurt's heart waiting for his answer.

“Yes...I like you more than I should...but I want you so bad. I want to be able to make you smile. I want to be able to smile once more. I can have that with you...please...Kurt...give me a chance,” Blaine said. Kurt smiled and leaned in pressing his lips to Blaine's. He wrapped his arms around Kurt as Kurt straddled his legs. Kurt pulled away and looked down into his eyes. Kurt put his hands on either side of Blaine's face and smiled.

“I'm breaking up with Leo...I want you so bad...I'm done with him. I'm going to do the right thing and call it off.”

“Good. Thank you...thank you so much...”

“I have one condition though...” Kurt said. Blaine's smile faded once more and he looked at him confused.

“The alcohol is done for. For now. I'll get rid of what I have and we avoid the bar. Once I'm happy that you aren't going to drink like you have been or like you did a few years ago then in moderation you can have.”

“I completely agree...I'm willing to give it up. I want to give it up. For Sebastian, for me, for you...for us...I'll do anything. If you want me back in meetings I'll go...”

“I don't think meetings are necessary but if you're not making an attempt then I'll ask you to go...don't make me do that,” Kurt said kissing him once more.

“I don't want to do that...I want to be able to do this on my own...”

“You won't be on your own though...you'll have me,” Kurt said smiling and kissed him fervently.
