The next two months dragged by for him. Days went by slowly. He gave up Glee Club and did his best to focus in school. The only think left unaffected was his 4.0 GPA. He threw himself into his studies and books so that he could tell people he couldn't go out. He preferred it this way. Everybody gave him sympathetic glances and he hated it. He didn't know if Kurt was telling his brother things but Cooper called every night to check on him. He hated it but he knew his brother cared for him and just wanted to know he was okay. Blaine watched Kurt walk across that stage and clapped for him the whole time. He looked on lovingly as his love took his next step into life.
The day after hurt him so much. It felt as if a rusty knife had been plunged into his chest and was being pulled out slowly. He wouldn't see Kurt until late July when the apartment would be ready for Kurt to move in.
When his plane landed and he got his bags he called his brother. He found him out front waiting by a black Mercedes.
“Hey Blaine,” Cooper said grabbing a bag from him.
“Hi...” Blaine said. Cooper looked at him, scrutinizing him, and then put his stuff in the trunk. When he got in the car his brother opened his mouth and said something he didn't want to hear.
“I have an appointment set up for you to see a psychologist. You need it,” Cooper said.
“No I don't. If you were so worried you would have let me stay in Ohio until Kurt came out here,” Blaine said. Cooper merged onto the highway towards the city skyline.
“Listen...I wanted to let you stay with him until he came out here but I couldn't,” Cooper said. Blaine looked away from him and crossed his arms.
“Just...leave me alone. Cancel that appointment and just let me go until Kurt gets here,” Blaine said.
“No Blaine, I won't! I'm your brother...I need to do what I can to make sure you're okay and I know you're not okay...look B, I'm worried about you. I really am and I want to know you're okay and that I'm not losing my baby brother,” Cooper said. Blaine looked over to see he was crying. Cooper was worried about him...he knew that but people needed to stop worrying.
The apartment was big and in the city. It was definitely very expensive. His piano was set up in the guest bedroom that was huge. Blaine loved the room.
“I was leaving it as plain as possible until you got here. Let me know what you want done to it and I'll have the crew come in to fix it up for you. I know your old room was a dark green but maybe you could do something different,” Cooper said.
“No...I want the dark green in here,” he said looking down at the dark gray carpet.
“Okay...anything else?” he asked.
“Nope. Just that. I'll go walk around the city until it's done,” Blaine said.
“They'll be here tomorrow then. I just want you to know I work from 8 a.m to 3 p.m but I have a meeting at 3:30 tomorrow so I won't be home until about 6. You are more than welcome to do as you please but don't do anything stupid,” Cooper said. Blaine nodded and put his bags in the corner.
“I'll let you unpack then...” Cooper said walking away. Blaine watched him go and he sank onto the bed and sighed.
Kurt walked off the plane and into the terminal to see his Blaine. What he saw shocked him though. Blaine was skinnier than he used to be, he wasn't smiling like he always was. That goofy grin he loved so much was gone. The light in his eyes was gone, and that hurt the most. Kurt felt something stab him in his heart. When he got to Blaine and hugged him he could tell just how much weight he'd lost. It wasn't drastic but it was noticeable. Kurt did not like it. Blaine was barely talking as they made their way to the apartment that Cooper had paid for. When Blaine was gone for a few minutes Kurt turned to Cooper.
“He's not doing good...” Kurt said.
“I know...he refuses to see the psychologist. He hasn't done anything. He has barely touched his piano! That's not like B. I'm hoping now that you're here that he'll finally be happier but...I honestly don't know. I'm doing my best to talk to him and help him and he's pushing me away,” Cooper sat down on the couch. Kurt could see he looked defeated.
“He's depressed Cooper...he needs to go see somebody as soon as possible,” Kurt said. Cooper looked at him angry, sad, and confused.
“I'm trying Kurt! I really am! He refuses to do anything I ask of him. He does stuff around the apartment, he helps and all but he won't talk to people...he barely talks to me. I noticed you and him weren't talking as much when he got here. I'm praying beyond belief that he snaps out of it now that you're here and listens to you and actually takes care of himself,” Cooper said.
“Has he been eating?”
“He picks at his food and then eats some and finally excuses himself upstairs. I've gotten him everything he likes and I've done what we used to do when we were younger but...nothing,” Cooper said. Kurt sat by him and sighed.
“We'll find a way...we'll be able to get him through this. I promise,” Kurt said placing his hand on Cooper's. Cooper looked up at him and nodded lightly.
“I told him he's allowed here as much as he wants until school starts. You don't mind him here do you?” Cooper asked.
“Not at all. I've really missed him,” Kurt said. Just then Blaine walked back into the apartment carrying one of his bags with clothes. Kurt smiled and got up to grab it. Blaine waved his hand and took it into the room.
“Let me know how he is...” Cooper said. Cooper hugged him and then left.
“Bye B! Don't be too much trouble for Kurt. I'm not paying him too much to watch you,” Cooper said smiling lightly as Blaine came back into the living room. Blaine snorted and smiled lightly.
“Whatever. Bye Coop,” Blaine said. Kurt looked back at him hopeful that his Blaine would appear tonight.

I hope kurt talks him into therapy he could really use it. Poor baby. ):
I honestly don't know what I'm going to do with them. If Kurt talks him into it, if Cooper does, if Blaine finally realizes he needs it, or they have an intervention for him and make him go.
