Author's Notes: One more chapter tonight!
Kurt rolled over in bed the next morning when something grabbed his. He collided with the body next to him and sighed. Sebastian kissed his cheek and smiled down at him.
“I hate you...” Kurt growled at him peeking up at him. Sebastian always woke him up early when he was over.
“Hate you too,” Sebastian said smirking. Kurt rolled back to his side and got up off the bed. He heard a whistle behind him and sent a glare over his shoulder at Sebastian.
“Go get ready and I'll make breakfast,” Sebastian said.
“Sounds like a plan,” he replied going into the adjacent bathroom. He took a long hot shower and got dressed in skinny jeans and button up shirt. He made his way down the hall and into the kitchen. Kurt noticed Sebastian just had his sweat pants on. A smile spread across his face and he made his way over to him. The smell of eggs and bacon invaded his lungs. He wrapped his arms around his torso and reveled in the smooth skin and Sebastian's abs.
“Of course you would be eating that,” Kurt said laying his head on his shoulder.
“I have the veggies out and cut for yours. I'm not going to subject you to a bacon and cheese omelet. I'm not that mean,” Sebastian said. Kurt smiled and kissed just behind his ear.
“I don't know if I can cook while you do that so you can decide whether to continue or not,” Sebastian said as Kurt peppered kisses along his neck.
“We can always experiment.”
“Not today because I actually have a class,” he replied. Kurt poured them both glasses of orange juice and set the table. When Sebastian is done and the food is on the table they sit in their seats and dig in. Kurt loved his omelets so much. They were just omelets but they were Sebastian's omelets. When they finished Sebastian went to shower and get ready. He always had an overnight bag here for when he stayed.
“I'll see you later. I'll be back by two and then we can get ready to go out,” Sebastian said.
“Sounds like a plan. I'll see you later,” Kurt replied as he walked over to Sebastian.
“I love you,” Sebastian said kissing him.
“Love you too,” he said kissing him once more and watched him leave. He smiled as the door closed. Sebastian always brightened his days after work or whenever they were together. He turned and went back into the kitchen putting the dishes away.
The next few hours were spent cleaning. He cleaned his bedroom, washed the sheets, and put new ones on. He moved into the bathroom and then the living room. Kurt always took great care of his apartment no matter what. He took a shower after that and went back into the living room. When he sat down on the couch exhausted he thought about napping but it was already quarter after one. He groaned in frustration and laid down on the couch eventually falling asleep.
A hand was placed on his head and run through his hair. He opened his eyes slowly to see Sebastian above him. A smile took over his face and he leaned up to kiss him. He sat up as Sebastian went into his bedroom and showered. He read a magazine while he waited for him to come out.
“Come on! The weather is amazing so I thought we could walk around the city and grab some coffee,” Sebastian said. Kurt nodded eagerly just happy to get to spend time with him.
They walked out into the warm May air holding hands. Kurt kissed his cheek as they stopped to wait and cross the street. He looked to his right and saw that man again. This time he was walking towards him. He head was down as he was texting and walking. Kurt looked at him confused wondering why he was so familiar.
“You okay?”
He turned to Sebastian glancing at him worried.
“Yeah, just thinking.”
“About?”
“Everything. How lucky I am to be here, to be with you, and have a part in Wicked,” he replied. He'd said that every time Sebastian asked what he was thinking about. It was the truth! Kurt was thrilled to be here and with him. They stopped in a coffee shop to get drinks. He waited outside for Sebastian and looked around hoping to see the man again. There was no sign of him. What are the chances anyway of you seeing the same man in New York City? His mind had to be playing tricks.
“Here you go,” Sebastian said handing him his iced mocha. Kurt smiled and took it taking a drink.
“Can I ask you something?” Sebastian asked.
“Sure...”
“After you're run as Fiyero is over...would you consider taking it easy for a while? Like, taking a break?” Sebastian asked. Kurt stopped walking and moved out of peoples way.
“Why?”
“You're beat Kurt! You're running yourself into the ground and you're not even twenty five!”
“So? I'm happy! That's all that matters!”
“No! It doesn't,” Sebastian said. Kurt looked at him sadly and felt the sting of tears in his eyes.
“What?” he asked shaky.
“Your health matters more than anything! Why don't you let it go for a while after this and audition for something without Rachel? She's the reason you're coming home late! Stop trying to coincide your roles.”
“I want to work with Rachel! It means she's not getting ahead of me and we're on the same page.”
“I don't care.”
“I do! Would you stop being a jackass?” Kurt asked angrily, fed up with his nagging. Sebastian's face fell and Kurt looked at him surprised he had said the words.
“I'm so sorry...” he said.
“I know...so am I,” Sebastian said turning to walk away.
“Seb! Where are you going?”
“My apartment,” he said stopping.
“Don't...” Kurt whimpered out.
“Just so you know...I think you're already better than Rachel and always will be,” Sebastian said and then merged in with the sea of people. Kurt watched him go frozen in his spot. He threw his coffee away feeling sick to his stomach. He turned and walked down the street. He spent an hour meandering through New York City until he stopped at the coffee shop him and Sebastian would always go to in college.
He ordered a coffee and sat at their usual table. He looked out of the window at the people walking by. He kept hoping to see the curly haired man once more but he never did. And this was the place where he had first seen him. He shook his head needing to get this guy off his mind.
Eventually Sebastian invaded his mind and he felt awful. Surprisingly, this was the worst of the fights they ever had. He'd never called Sebastian any of those names, at all. He let the tears fall and he wiped at his eyes.
“Why do I always manage to screw up something...” he murmured. He finished his coffee and threw it away and made his way slowly to his apartment. The sun had started to set by now. He made his way up the stairs slowly, not caring to go home. Sebastian wouldn't be there anyway.
He unlocked his door and walked in slowly. The lights were on dimly and Sebastian was sitting against the doorway to the kitchen. He looked pitiful. He also had a beer in his hand which meant he started drinking when he got back and more than likely his six pack was probably gone.
“Seb?” he asked cautiously. The man looked up at him sadly. Tear tracks stained his red cheeks and Kurt ran over to him and wrapped his arms around him.
“I'm so sorry for calling you that...” Kurt said. Sebastian nodded and put an arm around him.
“Give me the can...” Kurt said.
“No...”
“Give it.”
Sebastian reluctantly handed it to him and closed his eyes laying his head against the wall. Kurt dumped the rest out and went back to him.
“I'm sorry too. I shouldn't ask you to give up your dreams to make me happy,” Sebastian said.
“No...I understand. I probably should take it easy, huh?”
“A little...”
“No, a lot. Look, once my run as Fiyero is over I'll let it go for a little while. I'll stay home and spend my free time getting sleep and with you...even though when you will be here I won't be sleeping. Seriously? You complain I don't sleep but you won't let me when I try!” Kurt said teasing while smiling at him. Sebastian grinned and Kurt kissed him. He could taste the beer on his breath and recoiled at the taste. Sebastian rolled his eyes and shook his head.
“Ugh...” Kurt said.
“Get over it,” Sebastian said teasing. Kurt smiled and got him to stand up.
“Tomorrow, since we're both off, we're going to Marseille and a movie or something. I want to dedicate a day to take care of you and be with you,” Sebastian said.
“Sounds perfect,” Kurt said kissing him once more and leading him to his bedroom to sleep.
End Notes: Sorry! Blaine and him didn't talk yet but soon! I had this going one way and now I went another but it'll be good! I promise they will see each other soon! For now, Kurtbastian is present but Klaine will happen! :)
