“Mr. Schue, I was thinking last night about an assignment we should do. As a lot, or all of you, may know the famous singer Paloma Gallo is releasing a new CD. It's her tenth CD and it's due out in a few weeks. I was thinking we should do a week dedicated to her!” Rachel said excitedly. The club all approved of the idea...but Blaine. Even Kurt was clapping for it. Paloma had announced the official date for her CD that morning and had performed the first single, called Take Me.

“She's been one of the most influential artists of the past decade. I have all of her CD's, DVD's, I got to see her a few years ago with Rachel in concert. She's absolutely amazing!” Kurt said.

“I'm surprised Berry actually likes somebody good,” Santana said.

“She's not that good!” Blaine said annoyed.

All eyes turned on Blaine and he crossed his arms. As he looked over he saw the glares directed at him. Kurt looked at him appalled. Blaine shrugged and looked at Schue.

“There's better artists out there than her. She's the typical pop artist with nothing new. There are other artists we should cover...like Florence. She's better than Paloma any day of the week. I may have met Paloma once and I couldn't stand her. She's arrogant...”

“You met Paloma Gallo?!” Rachel said.

“Yes...she's not all she's cracked up to be. She gets behind the stage and complains non-stop and can be very rude. She only spent a few minutes with the backstage pass people. She left after a few photos and autographs. A lot of people complained. I was with a friend backstage and she was annoyed that Paloma didn't care,” Blaine said. Rachel just rolled her eyes and went on talking.

“Well, anyway, Florence hasn't been around that long at all, Blaine. She has two CD's and Paloma is on her tenth with over a dozen number one songs!” Rachel said. Blaine rolled his eyes and shook his head.

“Plus, Paloma's music toned down a little as she got older. Her music is very good. Slower, but she still has some pop songs. She is amazing and has changed music for life. She's like Madonna!”

“Madonna is better,” Blaine said. Rachel's glare stayed fixed on him but Blaine ignored it.

“Obviously, I don't like Paloma. Mr. Schue, can I please sit this one out and do a double performance another week?”

“No! You will not ruin this for me, Blaine! We're all doing Paloma. We're all doing a group number at the end of the week so get over your petty behavior and get ready to perform,” Rachel said. Glee Club went by slowly. Most people kept giving him looks but he just glared back. Rachel decided to perform a Paloma Gallo song that day, one that Blaine despised most. It was about loving everybody no matter what. She was a hypocrite for singing the song.

When it was over Schue talked to them about the assignment and then they all left. Kurt took Blaine's hand and they walked out to Blaine's car. They got in and he just stared at the steering wheel. Kurt turned to him worried and placed his hand over Blaine's.

“Why do you really hate her? There's more...I can tell. Did she beat Katy Perry at an awards show or something?”

“Sadly, yes but that's not why I don't like her.”

“Then talk to me...that's what we do,” Kurt replied. Blaine sighed and looked over at Kurt.

“You need to promise me something.”

“Anything.”

“You won't freak out on me and you can't tell anybody.”

“Of course...”

And with that Blaine explained to Kurt why he hated Paloma Gallo and who she is.
