Kurt sat hunched against Rachel waiting for the doctor to come out to talk to him. Rachel had been trying to comfort him as he cried. He felt so alone and just needed to be by the man he loved.

“I should have gone with him...” Kurt said.

“No! Because you and him would probably be in here and we don't need that,” she said.

“He doesn't belong in here Rachel! He's the sweetest guy I know...why would someone hurt him?” Kurt asked. He looked up as a commotion was started and he saw Cooper running into the emergency room. Cooper saw him and walked over to him slowly. Rachel's grip on him tightened. He looked up at Cooper with a stone cold gaze.

“You did this...” he said.

“No, I didn't...” Cooper said.

“Don't lie to me.”

“Like you lied to me?”

“That has nothing to do with this!”

“Stop!”

Kurt looked over to see Rachel with a glare plastered on her face.

“Don't worry about that right now...just worry about Blaine,” Rachel said scowling. Kurt looked away from Cooper and saw the doctor walking towards him. Kurt got up swiftly and the doctor stopped in front of him.

“Is he okay?” Kurt asked.

“He has a concussion and a sprained wrist. He got hit in the head with something hard enough to knock him out for a while. Come on...I'll take you back to him,” the doctor said. Kurt nodded and started walking with the doctor.

“Wait! He's my brother! Why can't I go back?”

“You can come too,” the doctor said. Cooper followed them down the hall and into a room where Blaine laid under some blankets.

“When he wakes up hit the red button on the side. A nurse will be in then,” the doctor said and left. Kurt sat beside Blaine and took his hand in his. His left wrist was wrapped up in bandaging for the sprain. He felt himself shudder and the tears stream down his face.

“I can't believe this...” Cooper said. Kurt looked at him with a glare and then looked back down at Blaine. Cooper walked out of the room when his phone rang. Kurt didn't want to listen in but he got up anyway and moved slowly to the door.

“I said to rough him up but not put him in the hospital...” Cooper said sounding exhausted. Kurt's jaw dropped and he looked back at the man in the bed.

“Deals off Scott...and I swear to God if something worse happens to him while he's here I will deal with you myself and you won't like it.”

With that, silence followed for a few minutes until Cooper opened the door. Kurt looked up startled as Cooper looked at him worried.

“You're the reason he's here...” Kurt muttered. Cooper looked at him crying but Kurt just felt numb. Cooper had put his baby brother in the hospital.

“Kurt...I never meant for it to be this way...” Cooper said reaching out to him.

“Don't touch me...” Kurt said while glaring at him.

“Kurt...” Cooper said leaning against the wall and sinking down. Kurt felt nothing for this man before him. No anger or pity. Just...nothing.

“I could have lost him because you wanted somebody to rough him up? Why?!” Kurt asked.

“Because...all of the good things in my life have been taken from me and he's gotten them...the best thing in my life was you...and now you're gone...”

“Cooper...I would have still been in your life if you weren't such a jackass about things...” Kurt said. Cooper looked up at him with blood shot eyes.

“I could never hurt him myself...so I asked this guy to just push him around not beat the crap out of him and put him in here...I told him to make sure this didn't happen,” Cooper said looking at the floor.

“I will never forgive you for this...and I don't know what Blaine will say. But Cooper...you could have just talked to us! You could have done something other than get someone to rough house him!” Kurt said. He didn't want to feel bad for Cooper or anything for him for that matter. But those big blue eyes and the regret and pain in them said it all. He really didn't want to hurt Blaine...or him.

“I'm so sorry Kurt...I'll do anything to make it up to you two...I'll do anything,” Cooper said.

“Go back to Ohio...” Kurt replied quietly.
