Author's Notes: Some people might not like Cooper after this chapter....
The months dragged by slowly. Kurt hadn't talked to Blaine since their fight over the phone. He forgot him but sometimes he would pop up in his head. Kurt didn't know when it had really started but the fights with Cooper were becoming more frequent. Cooper was getting very possessive and wanting Kurt with him all of the time. Kurt didn't understand why. He had been nothing but faithful since that night. He did everything Cooper wanted and did all he could to make sure he was happy.
Kurt was also changing. He had lost weight and the light in his eyes. He hadn't noticed it but Rachel and a few of his friends did. Kurt would ignore them and go on day to day. He didn't care about the days anymore and went along with whatever was going on. He barely went out anymore. He was at school, doing homework, or with Cooper. Rachel had asked everyday for the past month if he was okay and needed to talk. He said he was okay. He always refused to talk.
Things escalated the one night from a fight to somebody walking out. After that it was always Kurt who would walk out and he'd call Blaine out of habit but there was never an answer. He would go back to his apartment and lay in his bed crying. He had found moving on was somewhat easy. A part of him still longed for Blaine to be next to him but he knew it would never happen again. He was stuck here.
That night though things took a turn for the worse. He hadn't seen the comeback on Cooper's lips until it was said. And it turned his blood to ice.
“You're cheating aren't you? You have been for months now right?” Cooper yelled.
“No! He's just a friend and we had to do a project to do together!”
“Yeah, sure! How many lies have you been feeding me since we started dating?” Cooper asked.
“None...Cooper, I love you! There is no reason to think I don't!”
“Oh, yeah? How about that night you said 'Blaine, don't go, come back, I need you'? What was that about?”
“What are you talking about?”
“You were talking in your sleep one night...and you said that!” Cooper yelled getting angrier.
“Cooper...I don't know what you are talking about...I never did anything with him.”
“Lies!”
“No lies, Cooper! No...I never talked in my sleep,” he said that last part more to himself and cringed under Cooper's glare.
Kurt thought back on any dreams he had had recently and none of them were with Blaine. Then he thought back farther. To his dream with Blaine leaving him. Kurt felt the world crash down around him. Cooper knew. It was too late.
“You did. You were messing around with Blaine weren't you?” he asked.
“No...” Kurt said, tears springing to his eyes. He never saw the back of Cooper's hand until it connected with his face. He fell back to the floor as Cooper pushed him down.
“I don't care what happened. You're not leaving me for him,” Cooper said walking away to his bedroom. Kurt stared into space stunned by what had just happened. He had never been hit like that by Cooper...let alone anyone. He stayed there silently crying until he got the nerves to get up. He made his way out and down to his car and drove to his apartment. He called Blaine but there was no answer...once again. He cried harder and walked into the dark apartment. He went into his room and laid on his bed not caring about changing.
“I'm so, so sorry Blaine...I need you...” he cried. He called Blaine once again and left a voice mail.
“Blaine...please. I need to talk to you. Don't completely shut me out,” Kurt said. He hung his phone up and put it on the bed. He closed his eyes and fell asleep.
“Kurt?”
He opened his eyes to see Rachel beside him.
“What happened to your face?” she asked worried.
“I fell getting in last night...”
“Really?” she asked hesitantly. He nodded and she left him alone. He knew she wouldn't buy it but for now she might. He looked at his phone but there was still no call from Blaine. And it tore him up so much inside.
“Is this what I deserve for doing this to you?” he asked referring to either Blaine or Cooper. Is this what he deserved? Is this what he made Cooper feel like? He laid there on his bed for hours just staring at the ceiling. When Cooper called he didn't want to answer it but reluctantly did.
“Hi...” he said shaky.
“Hi. Look, about last night...I'm so sorry! I did not mean to hurt you. Kurt, you have no idea how much it hurt me to realize I did that to you...”
“I hurt you worse and I deserved it,” Kurt said.
“You don't deserve that...you are amazing and deserve nothing but the best. I can't believe I did that,” Cooper said exasperated.
“I know...” Kurt mumbled.
“I love you, Kurt.”
“I...I love you, Cooper. I'll be by tomorrow,” he said and hung up.

No wtf! Cooper you bastard and Kurt seriously? "I love you, and I'll be by tomorrow" I hate Cooper and I'm sorry to say but Kurt is a dumbass! (Yeah I know it's just a story) I hope Rachel finds out the truth and it gets to Burt and Blaine and Cooper gets bitch slapped!
My friend is in an abusive relationship so her story is kind of the inspiration for this. Just the fact that they keep going back to the wrong person...
