Author's Notes: Here's the first chapter...this one is basically an introduction to their life, years later.
Kurt was walking around the city bundled up as if the cold affected him. He was out hunting hoping to find somebody tonight. Last night he hadn't and Blaine noticed and got angry. Even after 75 years of being a vampire Blaine still treated him like a newborn. He stopped by a building and leaned against it looking at the group of people going by. He blinked and saw three auras. When he found one who had a dark aura he walked slowly. He noticed this guy was walking behind this girl and he went for her purse and ran. Kurt made his move and he started to walk faster. He got the girl and put his hand on her shoulder gently. She smelled so good to him and he did everything so he didn't pounce on her and drink.

“Are you okay?” he asked. She nodded but he knew she was shaken. He ran to the alley they guy had gone down and saw he had stopped. Kurt ran at full speed and hit the guy over the head. He took her purse and put everything back and went to her.

“Don't worry I'll call the cops. Why don't you go home? Forget that tonight happened at all,” he asked using compulsion on her. He hated using it but he had to at this point. He wanted to go back and drink...he needed it but he didn't want to drink from him all of a sudden. The guys smell tainted his nostrils and he felt sick from it. He was confused as to why it turned him off suddenly. He left the guy there and made his way towards their home near the woods. He noticed a man walking down the street. He made his way slowly to the man and smelled the air. He didn't know who it was and looked around. Nobody was around. He went up and hit the guy over the head enough to knock him out without killing him.

He made his way further into the forest and went to drink when somebody attacked him. Kurt turned baring his fangs and hissing. A man that stood about his height was glaring at him.

“Go youngling...he's mine,” he said. Kurt hissed and attacked him going to snap his neck. He was outmatched though. This guy was good but Kurt wasn't giving up without a fight.

“You haven't fed in a long time and you're weakened. Just give up,” the man said. Kurt growled and kicked the guy.

“I hunted the guy so he's mine! Go find your own,” he said. Kurt was going to pounce on him when arms found their way around him. Kurt startled but smelled Blaine and calmed down.

“Simon!” Blaine said.

“Blaine?” the man, Simon now, asked.

“What do you think you're doing?” Blaine asked. Kurt sighed and pushed Blaine off of him and hissed at him. Blaine glared at him and focused on Simon.

“I was hunting...that youngling stole my prey,” Simon said. Kurt snorted and crossed his arms.

“I had him first...it's not my fault you waited so long to go for him,” Kurt said.

“He was still mine first. I had been following him from the town so that I could hunt him properly,” Simon said.

“Enough!” Blaine yelled. Kurt looked over at him surprised.

“Simon...if he hunted the guy first then oh well, the guy is his so go find your own,” Blaine said. Kurt looked at the man and the name suddenly clicked.

“This isn't Simon...the Simon that you were with for a while...” Kurt said.

“It's him. Simon this is Kurt, Kurt this is Simon...” Blaine said. Kurt studied the man wondering what Blaine ever saw in him.

“Feed Kurt...” Blaine said. Kurt did so and smiled up at Simon tauntingly. When he was done he stood up and went to Blaine wrapping his arms around Blaine's abdomen.

“Why are you here?” Blaine asked Simon. Simon was staring at Kurt intently and faced Blaine.

“I've been just roaming the country...why not,” Simon said. Kurt didn't trust the guy. He was staring at Blaine...oddly. Like he owned him when he didn't. He knew they had made peace back when Kurt had been hurt badly but that was the last time they spoke.

“We live in this area so you're best to leave,” Blaine said. Simon looked at them once again and left. Kurt watched as he sped off and then let Blaine go. Blaine turned on him and sent him a glare.

“You've been hunting on your own for how long now and you can't smell another vampire? If they don't give up you're best to just walk away...Simon could have killed you if he wanted to,” Blaine said. Kurt sighed and crossed his arms.

“Whatever,” he said. Blaine rolled his eyes they started to walk towards their house. They had bought land and built a house on the property. It was big but not too big. It was perfect for them. Sometimes Erica would stay with them too instead of at Dalton. Kurt loved having her around and she helped him with his power and they studied up more on auras. He was able to control it now on his own but sometimes it'd slip and he would see auras for awhile at a time.

“Is Erica still with us?” Kurt asked.

“Yeah...she asked to stay longer. She said she doesn't want to move just yet. It seems she actually might stay in one place for a long time,” Blaine said. Kurt nodded happily. He loved having her around and stay with them. She kept Blaine in check more than he could. It was amusing. He also realized how close those two really were. All he knew was that Erica had been hurt badly and shut the world away for a while besides Blaine. If he wasn't sure that Blaine was gay he'd worry they were together, however they'd be a good couple. Kurt laughed at the thought and Blaine gave him a funny look.

When they got back Erica was sitting on the porch looking up into the sky. Kurt smiled and sat by her. Blaine walked into the house not glancing at them. Kurt sighed and pulled his legs up to his chest.

“What happened?” she asked quietly.

“Simon attacked me for my food. I hunted the guy and he just thought he could take him and we ended up fighting. Blaine showed up and then had Simon leave and then he yelled at me for not knowing Simon was near by. I haven't fed in a while, my senses were on my prey...” he said.

“Still should have been careful but it still happens to me and I'm older than you and him so it doesn't matter. He's just being grumpy because he hasn't fed in a longer time,” Erica said shrugging her shoulders. Kurt looked out into the night and sighed.

“Have any slip ups lately with those eyes?” she asked.

“Nope...I've been fine,” he replied.

“There's a place I want to take you...Easton Manor. It's mainly for helping with powers...you learn a lot there compared to on your own. I think it would help you understand auras even more and to have complete control of them,” Erica said quietly.

“Where is it located?” he asked.

“It's in the woods of New York...it's a beautiful manor. I don't know who owns it right now but the place is amazing. Last time a guy owned it and took very good care of it...then he left to do other things. I wanted to take his place but somebody else had already claimed it and I decided not to try,” she said.

“I'm sorry...” he said. She shook her head and got up and went into the house. He followed her in and went to the couch and laid down. He closed his eyes tired and content in the moment. When a weight laid on top of him he groaned annoyed and opened his eyes expecting to see Erica being Erica but Blaine was there.

“Get a room!” she said walking out laughing. Blaine smiled and laid his head on Kurt's abdomen and placed his hand on Kurt's chest. His thumb was rubbing over his chest and Kurt ran his hand through Blaine's free curls.

“We could do just that...” Kurt said.

“No...I want the couch. She can go get a room. She's always on the couch,” he said.

“Blaine! I'd actually like to sit on there knowing it hasn't been tainted by you,” Erica said.

“Too bad,” he muttered.

I heard that!”

“Of course you did,” he said. Kurt laughed and shook his head. Blaine crawled up and kissed Kurt passionately.

“Erica! Leave!” Kurt yelled pulling away from the kiss.

“Screw you two,” she said. He heard a window opening and laughed knowing she had jumped out the one story window to the forest. Kurt smiled and pulled Blaine back to him and captured his lips again.

“Bedroom,” Blaine said in between the kissing.

“I thought you said the couch...” Kurt said.

“Touche...this then the bedroom,” Blaine said returning his lips to Kurt's. Kurt smiled into it and wrapped his arms around Blaine's neck.
