Kurt opened his eyes slowly and looked around. Blaine was gone. A note was placed on the bed beside him. He picked it up and read it sighing. Blaine would be gone for a while. He got up and got changed for the day. He went into the living room and jumped at the sight of a woman sitting on the couch.
“Who..Who are you?” he asked. She turned to look at him and smiled lightly. She had long curly auburn hair and beautiful blue eyes. She stood up and he got a good look of her. She was tall and slender like him and held herself very well.
“My name is Erica...you must be Kurt,” she said simply. She had smooth voice but there was authority laced all over it. Kurt crossed his arms and looked at her.
“I am Kurt. Who are you and why are you here?” he asked.
“And I said I'm Erica. Don't start boy. I'm here because your over protective boyfriend asked me to be here. Also, I needed to meet the boy who stole his heart...” she said. Kurt looked her in the eyes and didn't think she was lying. Suddenly, a color started to form around her. It was a simple brown. Kurt stared stunned. Next thing he knew she was in front of him and it was gone.
“What's wrong?” she asked. Kurt blinked and stepped back from her. He hated this stupid color thing and wished it would end. She was looking at him concerned.
“I just...I don't know...” Kurt said. She led him over to the couch and sat him down.
“Honey...I won't say anything to Blaine if you don't want me to and you can tell me anything you want,” she said sitting by him and holding his hands.
“Blaine just said it was probably something to do with the change...” he said.
“Kurt, listen, I can't help you if you don't tell me...” she said.
“Well...when I saw Wes for the first time I saw a gold outline forming around him. When I blinked it was gone. Blaine was sitting by me yesterday and I saw orange around him...then Sebastian...I saw red and then black around him...and a minute ago brown was around you...I don't get it...Blaine said it might have to do with the change,” Kurt said. She snorted and started to laugh. Kurt jumped up and glared down at her.
“This isn't funny!”
“Honey...it isn't but Blaine is,” she said. Kurt looked at her incredulously.
“What?”
“If I'm right you have the power of seeing Auras. Sometimes these things happen. Blaine doesn't have one so I'm not surprised that he's oblivious,” she said.
“A power? Auras?”
“Sometimes a mutation happens with us vampires during our change. Something happened with you and you have the gift of seeing auras. They're like the window to someones soul. The color describes who they are perfectly. It's a symbol of who they are and their personality. I can get you more information if you'd like. I know someone who can get you a book,” she said. Kurt looked at her bewildered.
“Don't tell Blaine?”
“I won't. Only if you want me to,” she said. Kurt nodded and sat back down.
“Thank you. Please, don't say anything until I talk to him tonight about it...he'd think I'm more of a freak than I already am,” Kurt said. She took his hands and looked at him earnestly.
“You are not a freak and I'm more than positive that Blaine doesn't think that you are either,” Erica said smiling. Kurt looked at her and smiled lightly. The door opened then and she pulled away from Kurt and stood up.
“Can you answer something else for me?” he asked.
“Depends,” she said.
“Can you tell me more about Blaine?”
“Nope. I promised Blaine I would never say anything about him to anybody. Blaine trusts me and I don't want to lose that trust. Blaine will tell you when he's ready,” she said. Kurt sighed and looked down. He had wanted to know more about Blaine without having to ask him and cause more pain. It had been nagging him. He wanted to know about his change. It had been very unpleasant he knew that much but he wanted more. At that moment Blaine walked into the room.
“It's about time you got back. I hate having to wait on you,” she said smirking.
“Oh shut up and get lost,” Blaine said laughing.
“Gladly. See you later Kurt,” she said while walking out of the door. Kurt watched her go and looked up at Blaine.
“I hope she didn't bother you too much,” Blaine said.
“No. I like her,” Kurt said.
“Her name's Erica, obviously, but we were also changed around the same time. We became instant friends. Me, her, and Kara have always been friends,” Blaine said shrugging and sitting by him.
“Blaine?”
“Yes?” Blaine asked.
“Will you...will you tell me about your change...?” Kurt asked quietly. Blaine looked at him a little surprised and then down.
“I figured you would ask eventually,” Blaine said.
“It's just had me thinking since I changed,” Kurt said.
“Well...I can guarantee you should be thankful that it was me who changed you. Somebody who cares and loves you to help you through it,” Blaine said. Kurt nodded and looked into Blaine's soft hazel eyes.
“My creator...I met him when my own father kicked me out and disowned me for being gay. I was going to move on and live my life but I came across him. He was my 'age' and was gorgeous...I was happy living with him and then he just attacked me one night and changed me. He was cold and heartless the whole time and once the change was done he left me alone. He left me...just like that and I haven't heard from him since. That was when I met Kara and her creator. They took me in and I learned everything from her creator,” Blaine said.
“You haven't seen yours since he ran away?”
“Yeah. I thought we were going to be a good pair but...after that I hated him. I was searching for him for awhile to...I guess kill him, I don't know...but I never did and I let it go and moved on,” Blaine finished. Kurt nodded and wrapped his arms around Blaine's neck.
“Thank you for not doing that to me...I love you so much. I will never hurt you,” Kurt said. Blaine held him tightly and Kurt finally started to talk about earlier.
“Blaine...what you would say if I had a power?” Kurt asked pulling away slightly. Blaine looked at him confused.
“What?”
“You know those colors I've seen? Well...Erica said they're auras. She said I probably have the power of seeing peoples auras,” Kurt said. Blaine looked at him stunned and sighed.
“Wow...” he said.
“Erica is going to get me a book about them...I want to learn more...I need to know more,” Kurt said.
“So...you saw my aura?” Blaine asked. Kurt nodded and Blaine looked at him.
“What color was it?” Blaine asked.
“It was orange. A perfect color,” Kurt said smiling.
“Do you know what orange is?” Blaine asked. They looked at the front door surprised when a voice spoke up.
“It means you have a powerful personality. You inspire people everyday and are energetic. It also means you're very determined which is true in your case Blaine,” Erica said. Kurt sighed and felt himself relaxing.
“Haven't I told you to not just walk into my apartment?” Blaine asked.
“I don't recall...” she said smirking at him. Kurt smiled when he saw the book in her hands.
“So I may have looked into the colors meanings and we have a lot to discuss,” she said. She came over and sat on the coffee table like Blaine had. Kurt shook his head and sighed at her.
“See...Wes was a golden color. Gold means you have wisdom and are a higher being almost. Considering Wes runs this place and knows everybody I'm not surprised he has a gold aura. Now, for Sebastian...he was red then black? Well, red means money worries or obsessions, also anger or unforgiveness, and anxiety or nervousness. Now we know Sebastian doesn't have money worries...so only anger or unforgiveness and anxiety can relate to him,” she started. Kurt looked at her and nodded.
“Well...maybe it's anxiety because of Kurt?” Blaine said.
“Wow...you really are dense. Listen, Kurt said that Sebastian's aura then changed to black. Auras don't always change unless something drastic happens. Now, black means issues relating to death, hatred, lack of forgiveness, unresolved karma, dark intentions, shadow games, or needing compassion for self. Which shows that anger is the only common between them. Sebastian is angry and because of Kurt being here I believe his changed to black. Sebastian has never been happy since you let him go so we know he's angry. Black is rare and that's what scares me the most...” Erica said.
“These auras don't mean anything though...it's not like he's going to do anything. He would never do that,” Blaine said. Kurt could tell Blaine was upset and he wanted to calm him down so badly.
“Blaine...auras reflect a person. If Sebastian is angry then his aura reflects that right now. I don't see it going back to red. I think black is here to stay. Just keep your eye on Kurt. You never know what Sebastian will do,” Erica said. Kurt got Blaine to sit back down and had his arms wrapped around him.
“You saw my aura right?” she asked him.
“Yeah...brown,” he replied.
“Brown means that I do not believe in anything spiritual, I'm disconnected, and a good secret keeper,” she said.
“It's true,” Blaine said smiling.
“Oh shut it. Look...I'm going to take off so you can look at this Kurt. I'll see you two whenever. Also, Kurt, be very careful please. I don't want to see you hurt,” she said and then left. Kurt smiled after and looked back at Blaine. He picked up the book from the table and started to read about the auras.
“Courage...” Blaine said as he read about the color orange. Kurt smiled and looked up at him from laying on Blaine's chest.
“What one do you think I am?” Kurt asked.
“Can't you see yours?”
“Nope. It says I won't be able to see my own,” Kurt said.
“Well, I'd think you were white,” he said.
“Why?” Kurt asked.
“Look, it says white is for truth, purity, healing, and protection. It is a good healing color for those who suffer from pain or are suffering. You healed me when I was upset and you still do. You help me get over every obstacle. You are so pure, innocent and kind, and you protect everybody no matter what. Most of all though is the healing. You healed my broken heart and I will forever give myself to you,” Blaine said. Kurt felt the tears starting to sting his eyes and soon fell down his cheeks. Blaine got up and went into the bedroom and came back out to him. Blaine sat back down and looked at him.
“You have meant everything to me these past two years and I want you to mean everything to me for good. You changing was the first part and now this comes in. Kurt...I love you so much and don't ever want to let you go. I hope you feel the same way about me,” Blaine said. That last part Kurt heard him choke on. Blaine had been hurt twice. By someone who he thought cared for him and one who only wanted him for one thing only.
“Blaine...I will always love you. No matter what,” Kurt said putting a hand on his leg.
“Then...take this ring. Please, be with me forever. Be my other half, be my husband,” Blaine said opening a little blue box. Inside was a white gold band with a sparkling blue sapphire in the center. Kurt's mouth dropped and he felt the smile tug at his lips. He looked up at Blaine and saw he was crying. Kurt wrapped his arms around Blaine and kissed him.
“I would do anything to be with you forever. I'm so glad we can be now. I will take it and wear it all of the time. I love you so much,” Kurt said. Blaine kissed him back many times. Kurt smiled aa Blaine put the ring on his left ring finger.
“I love you too...forever and for always,” Blaine said.
