The next thing Kurt knew was that he was being picked up bridal style.
“'M awake,” Kurt mumbled.
“It's okay. I'm taking you up to my apartment so it doesn't matter,” Blaine said. Kurt shifted and put his face into Blaine's chest. He took a deep breath loving the smell of his boyfriend. His one hand held onto Blaine's shirt.
“Blaine!”
He looked up to see somebody new standing beside a door. He assumed this was Blaine's apartment since he had stopped by the man and door.
“Hey Wes,” Blaine said.
“About time,” Wes replied. Kurt tried to get closer to Blaine and almost turned away until a glow starting forming around Wes. It was a gold color and Kurt was mesmerized by it. When he blinked it was gone though and he turned to look up at Blaine. Wes opened the door and Blaine walked in. He carried him to a bedroom and set him on the bed.
“I'll be right back,” Blaine pressing a kiss to Kurt's cheek. Blaine disappeared out of the room and Kurt sighed. What was that glow? He pulled his knees up to his chin and he placed his head on them. It was weird. He'd never seen anything like it. He tried to listen to what they were talking about in the living room.
“He's even better in person. You did good this time around,” Wes said.
“He's amazing. I love him so much Wes. I think this is it,” Blaine replied. Kurt smiled at the soft tone of his voice.
“Seb won't like that. Nobody but me knew you were doing this and he won't like the surprise,” Wes said his tone a little harder. Kurt wondered who this Seb was. Was he with Blaine before him? Had they dated before Kurt? He felt a little piece of his heart break in his chest.
“Well, you can tell Erica and Kara. I know they're dying to hear why I'm back. Also...inform Jeff and Nick for me. Tell them to come up here and to bring Sebastian if he's around. Sebastian has to meet Kurt,” Blaine said. Kurt tensed at that name. Seb must have been Sebastian. He didn't want to meet this Sebastian. He knew that much.
“Kara will be delighted to know you're back. Kurt will love her. Erica left a few days ago. Don't know where she went but she'll be back eventually. She always comes back,” Wes said. Kurt opened the door and walked out into the living room. Wes looked up at him and Blaine turned around to see him.
“Go back to bed,” Blaine said. Kurt shook his head and went over to him and put his arms around him. Blaine's arms wrapped around him and he smiled.
“I love you,” Kurt said. Wes smiled over at him. He watched Wes for a bit trying to not be obvious but the color never came back. Kurt hissed under his breath and sighed.
“What's wrong?” Blaine asked. Kurt looked up at him worried.
“Nothing. Just thinking,” Kurt lied. He smiled and put his head back on Blaine's chest.
“Well, I'm going to go get the others and send them up. Take care Kurt and welcome to Dalton,” Wes said then left. Kurt looked down at the floor.
“Who's coming up here?” he asked.
“A few friends. Don't worry you'll love them,” Blaine said. Kurt nodded and pulled away sitting legs crossed on the couch. Blaine took his hand and rubbed his thumb over the knuckles. Kurt watched him and slowly the glowing appeared on Blaine's hand. This time it was orange. It wasn't dark but it wasn't very light either. Kurt loved the color and smiled.
“What?” Blaine asked. Kurt blinked and the color was gone again.
“I thought I saw something,” Kurt said.
“Probably just your eyes getting used to the new power you have. You have perfect sight now and it takes some getting used to,” Blaine said. Kurt nodded and moved closer to him. He didn't believe that it was his eyes getting used to the new power but he accepted it. A light knock sounded on the door and Blaine got up and opened it. A woman and man came in and looked over at him curious. The woman was tall and slender. She had light brown hair and shining blue eyes. The man beside her was short and had blonde hair. Kurt sat up straighter as the woman hugged Blaine tightly.
“It's so nice to see you again,” she said. Her voice was high pitched and she seemed close to Blaine. Kurt didn't like it very much.
“It's nice to see you again too,” Blaine said. Kurt cleared his throat and glared at Blaine. Blaine looked at him apologetically.
“Kurt, this is Kara and Jeff. Kara and me used to live together in Michigan when I stayed there. We were changed around the same time. She's one of my closest friends here,” Blaine said. Kurt smiled up at her.
“Pleasure to finally meet you Kurt. We've heard so much about you,” she said.
“Too much if you ask me,” the other man muttered. Blaine smacked him over the head and looked at Kurt.
“Sorry Kurt. This is Jeff. Doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut half of the time though. I've only told them about how I met you and how much you mean to me,” Blaine said.
“It's so cute how you two met Kurt,” she said. Kurt's cheeks flushed and looked down. Jeff was laughing and looked at him. There was another knock on the door and Blaine opened it. Kara came over and sat right by Kurt and wrapped her arms through his.
“You're so very lucky to have him. He's amazing Kurt,” she said.
“You two are good friends?” Kurt asked.
“Since I met him we've been friends. He's always been lonely though. We thought he had found somebody but the person just wasn't for him. Then he met you...he hasn't stopped smiling since,” she said. Kurt looked down. There had been somebody else before him.
“Was it Sebastian?”
“Honey...shush. Blaine will one day tel l you his full story. Until then you will not ask anybody about him. It's not polite,” Kara replied. Kurt took it as a yes and sighed.
“Sorry,” Kurt muttered.
“It's okay...just don't ask anybody about him. He hasn't told anybody his story except for me and I promised him I'd never say anything until he was ready to,” she said. Kurt nodded and looked over to see Blaine with two other men. One was about Blaine's height and the other was about Kurt's height. The taller one was smiling down at Blaine. Kurt guessed him to be Sebastian. Blaine led them over to the couch where Kara was still sitting.
“Kara...he's mine. You can't have him,” Blaine said smiling. Kara stuck her tongue out at him and smiled.
“Kurt this is Nick, he's Jeff's creator, and this is Sebastian...I'm his creator,” Blaine said slowly. Kurt looked Sebastian up and down. He wouldn't deny he was decent looking but he instantly resented Sebastian. He watched Sebastian closely and saw a read outline forming around him. First gold, then orange, and now red? What was wrong with him? Kurt's attention snapped back to Nick as he started speaking.
“It's a pleasure to finally meet you Kurt. I've heard so much about you and it's nice to finally meet you,” Nick said. Kurt nodded to him and looked at Kara. She was looking at Sebastian guardedly. Jeff was now standing behind Kurt. He started to feel nervous and looked up at Blaine.
“Alright...why don't you guys leave. He just got here and I need to explain everything to him,” Blaine said.
“I haven't even gotten to say hello though,” Sebastian said.
“Say hi and then bye,” Blaine hissed. Kurt shrank back at the hiss. Kara patted his arm and he looked up at Sebastian.
“Hello Kurt...nice to put a name to a face. Blaine never told me he was bringing you...let alone kept you alive,” Sebastian said smirking.
“Nobody knew Seb...” Kara said.
“Sure, sure. Let's go with that,” he said rolling his eyes. Kurt looked over at Kara as Blaine ushered the others out. She kissed Kurt's cheek and got up. Kurt smiled at her as she left. Jeff leaned down by Kurt slowly.
“Watch out for Seb...don't worry right now because me and Nick will keep our eyes on him but you need to be careful wherever you go,” Jeff said.
“Why?”
“That's something for Blaine to answer but when he's ready. Just let it go...Seb is just jealous right now. We've got our eyes on him though,” Jeff said once again. Kurt nodded and watched him leave. Blaine closed the door and locked it and looked over at Kurt.
“Are you okay?” he asked.
“Yeah...just being crowded got me nervous,” Kurt said. Blaine came over to him and sat next to him.
“I'm sorry about that. I wanted them to meet you first though. Nobody here but them knows I changed you, let alone was dating you,” Blaine said. Kurt looked over at Blaine and kissed him lightly. Blaine smiled and kissed him again.
“I love you,” Blaine whispered.
“What is Sebastian to you?” Kurt asked slowly. Blaine's soft hazel eyes darkened and he moved back against the couch.
