As usual, the songs are written by me. The first one is called "Remorseful" the second one is called "I Miss You"! Thanks for reading!
Kurt and Rachel walked into the label's building the next day. She had some kind of meeting today and they were meeting Quinn here. Kurt really had no reason to be here but Rachel made him come with her. He didn't want to step foot in this building knowing Blaine could be here.
“Rachel!”
Kurt looked up to see Quinn waiting outside a room. She was in a sundress that Rachel had bought her when they moved. They hugged and Quinn looked at him smiling.
“He's down the hall...”
“Really, Quinn? I do not need to worry about him...” Kurt replied.
“Go see him. I was talking to him earlier. I can tell he misses you, Kurt. Please...just go talk to him for a little bit?” Quinn asked.
“I don't know...you know what happened yesterday...”
“Kurt...do it. You'll never know until you try,” she replied. Kurt crossed his arms at her as she tried to explain her reasoning.
“You deserve to be happy, Kurt. In the whole time I've been with you guys I've never seen you happier than when you were with Blaine. And it took him two years to be willing to love again and you were that man for him. It might take some time but you can be happy again...with him. You both need to talk though.”
“Quinn...”
“Go Kurt,” she said. He sighed and wrapped his arms around himself and walked down the hall. He could hear someone strumming a guitar and singing in one of the rooms. It was Blaine's voice and a song he had actually never heard.
“I can still remember the look on your face as I told you the news. I thought it was good but you thought that was it was the worst thing ever. As I looked into your eyes you handed me back my heart and said we were over. I can still remember the last words from your mouth. I was a fool to think you ever loved me,” Blaine sang. Kurt closed his eyes and took in the softness of Blaine's voice.
“But your heart's a mess and it's all because of me and I wish I could fix you. You deserve so much better but I wish I was still by your side. You're my other half and I wish I could make you whole once more. Baby, I need you in my life. I want to repair the damage and if it's too far gone I deserve the pain I'm suffering but just know I'll always love you.”
Kurt walked to the doorway slowly as Blaine went on.
“I've never felt more remorse than the pain I feel from walking away and not fighting for you. It was my fault our love died and I just want us back. I found somebody for me but he'll never be you. If I get the chance I'd do anything to make you mine again.”
Blaine sang the chorus once more. Suddenly, he turned and saw Kurt. His hazel eyes held sadness and something more. Kurt leaned against the doorway as he sang on.
“Please! Don't walk away from me. Don't make me close the door on us completely. There's no our love song without you...” Blaine sang as he stood up. He sang the chorus once more and then put the guitar down. Kurt watched his every movement and looked at him sadly.
“Kurt...”
“I'm sorry,” Kurt turned to walk away. He made his way down the hall until a hand landed on his shoulder. He turned around and saw Blaine behind him.
“Meet me at this address at 7 p.m. Tonight. Please?” Blaine asked holding a paper out to him. Kurt took the paper and looked down at it.
“I'll think about it,” Kurt replied and turned to leave. He wiped his eyes as he walked away from the man he still loved but couldn't stand. He sat in his car waiting for Rachel and Quinn to come out to leave.
Later that night Kurt pulled into a parking spot. He turned his car off and got out. He was at a little park with a gazebo in the center. He locked the car and walked towards it. He could see the outline of somebody standing in the gazebo. Lights were wrapped around the top of the gazebo and throughout the bushes that lined it.
“Blaine?” he said as he got closer. Blaine looked over at him surprised. He was dressed casually in jeans and a nice top. Kurt was wearing the outfit Blaine had gotten him for their first Christmas together.
“You actually came...”
“Yeah...” Kurt said looking at him uncertainly. Kurt walked into the gazebo and Blaine gestured for him to sit down. He sat down as Blaine sat across from him picking up his guitar. Kurt had kept his mother's guitar making sure Blaine didn't take it with him. He hadn't even tried and Kurt was thankful.
“Why did you ask me here?” Kurt asked, breaking the silence.
“I wrote a song for you and I wanted to sing it to you. I've been waiting two years to do this,” Blaine said.
“Maybe you shouldn't have walked away...”
“I know...I deserve that...”
“Play...before I leave.”
Blaine started strumming the guitar. Kurt watched him as he concentrated on his playing.
“ I never thought I'd lose you...until the day you really walked away. I never thought...I'd lose the love we shared but you broke it off and I had to move on. The day you said goodbye...that was the day my world ended. There was no meaning to go on. Leaving you was the hardest thing I ever had to do,” Blaine sang, starting off.
“The way your face scrunches when you smile, the way you eyes light up as you talk, I miss it. The way you kiss me, the way you hold my hand, i miss it. The way your hips sway as you walk, the way you hold me in your arms, I miss it. The way you laugh, the way you say I love you, I miss it. Most of all I miss you!”
Kurt felt the tears pooling in his eyes. He was hoping he wouldn't cry tonight but it looked like that wasn't going to happen.
“Everyday, I wish I could get you back. I wish I hadn't been so stupid that night. I should have fought for you but I didn't and everyday I regret that choice. You'll never take me back now and I wish I was in your arms. But I just want you to know...The way your face scrunches when you smile, the way you eyes light up as you talk, I miss it. The way you kiss me, the way you hold my hand, i miss it. The way your hips sway as you walk, the way you hold me in your arms, I miss it. The way you laugh, the way you say I love you, I miss it. Most of all I miss you!”
Blaine stood up and looked down at him. Kurt stood up to face him and wrapped his arms around himself.
“Your eyes, your smile, your laugh, your touch, your kiss, your love...I miss it all and I'll never hold you in my arms again...”
Blaine sang the chorus once more and then put the guitar down. He moved closer to Kurt but Kurt moved back.
“Kurt...you have no idea how sorry I am! I want to redo that night all over again. I want take back everything I did to you. I wish I hadn't packed up and left you. I wish I hadn't been that stupid. Kurt, I can't live without you...these past two years have been a living hell without you. You kept me in line...you kept me pushing for what I wanted and without you I have no reason...”
“You made your bed. Now lie in it. I love you, Blaine. I always will. And, as much as I want you back...I can't do it again. You hurt me once when you walked away. Who says you won't do it again. Plus, you have that little actor to keep you company,” Kurt replied.
“I swear, Kurt. He is only a friend. Nothing more. I don't like him and I don't want him. He wants me and I'm not into him. I haven't been with anybody these past two years because of you. I want you back.”
“I can't Blaine...” Kurt said letting the tears fall. Kurt turned and walked away leaving him alone and crying.
“I won't stop fighting for you Kurt. I'll do anything to get you back...”
A part of Kurt hoped he would. But another part wished he could move on from the pain Blaine had caused him.
