"Learn to knock!"
"Get out!"
"Oh my god, dad!"
"You don't respect me at all!"
"YOU'RE THE WORST DAD EVER!"
These are just a few of the statements Kurt and Blaine have had heard at least once a day from Lola since the start of the week. It was Saturday and it was dragging. It seemed like every time they tried to move, even if it was to get something for Lola, they were doing it wrong, not fast enough or just being, "Like, totally stupid!"
Blaine tried to reason. Kurt tried to discipline. No matter what they did they were met with a swift eye-roll, a long exhale and the slam of a bedroom door.

On Saturday night, Blaine was lying against Kurt, with his head resting on his husbands shoulder watching a movie when they heard Lola cursing out Tyler then, once again, slamming her bedroom door.
"What the hell is up with her?" Blaine sat up and stared into Kurt's eyes "Since when did we own a demon child?"
Kurt laughed, "Puberty, babe."
"Huh?"
"Puberty; girls get this way when they reach a certain age. Hormones. Are. Everywhere."
"How long does it last?" Blaine prayed for a few days, a week tops. He wasn't exactly having the time of his life here.
"From what I gather, we're in for this for a few days every month."
"Every month?!" Blaine was on the verge of a breakdown.
"Yup," Kurt looked at Blaine seriously, "We don't have a baby anymore...."
Blaine sighed, "I know sweetie, one minute they're all over you all the time, the next....Lola looked like she was going to hit me today."
"It's not even like we can do anything, it's totally natural. It's not her fault. Or ours, as much as she likes to say that, not everything bad in the world is down to us."
Blaine sighed. He wasn't up for this right now. He needed a few more years of Lola being his baby who hugged him and cried every time there was a little thunder.
Kurt rubbed his back understanding completely.
"I love you, baby."
"I love you, too." Blaine smiled and kissed Kurt, smiling just a little bit.
"B, if we're going to get through this -"
"Strategy plan? I like it."
Kurt ignored Blaine and continued, "You need to know what'll be going on with her. I spoke with Rachel a while ago in case this pounced on us. Well, it did but whatever. Lola's going through every emotion in the book right now for no apparent reason. We can't judge her, or hold her to anything she says or does right now if it isn't a completely huge issue."
Blaine didn't say anything, he just nodded and lay back down beside Kurt, except now it was more of a cuddle than a comfortable position.
He was just going to have to deal with this.

Blaine was woken up by the sound of the bedroom door closing softly and small sobs.
Lola.
Blaine sat up, half expecting her to have murdered Tyler, "What's up, baby?"
3 words, that's all it took to break down the steel wall Lola, had slowly built up for a while now. She broke into huge, loud wails and gasps for air
For a second Blaine was back beside Lola's crib at fuck-o-clock trying to settle his newborn.
"Daddy...I just....I....I.....don'tknowwhat'supwithme!"
It took a second for Blaine to think about what Lola had just said, de-code and think or a reply.
"Honey, it's a part of growing up."
"I don't like it!" She sounded like a spoiled toddler, Blaine didn't mind.
"Honey...." Blaine tried to think of something to say but couldn't, "Come here, we haven't cuddled in a while."
Lola crawled in between her parents and threw her arms around Blaine, still crying.

When Kurt woke up the next morning, he and Blaine were both at the edge of the bed with Lola sprawled in the middle. Kurt smiled; he hadn't lost his baby yet.
Sure the time would come soon, when Lola didn't come back, when she kept he distance. But that wasn't now.
Blaine opened his eyes and smiled at Kurt.
" Perfect." He mouthed, not wanting to wake Lola.
Kurt nodded, still smiling.
He had the most perfect, messed up, emotional, passionate and hormonal family ever.
Yeah, it was pretty perfect.
