Above Human

Prologue

It was 1928 when the world first discovered, what would become one of the biggest worldwide phenomena. A change in the history books of the human body.

In Germany, a small boy by the name of Erik Herrmann at age of 6, had an itchy and aching back. His parents concerned, went with him to the doctor. There they made an amazing discovery. On the boy’s back there were veins, pulsing in two perfect circles. Right in between the boy’s shoulder blades, the veins gathered in to two spots on his back. And in those two spots, two little stumps had started to grow out.

They were shocked by this and kept the boy in for observation. And every day that past the stumps grew longer and longer, soon something else started to grow on the extended limbs. Feathers, shiny white feathers, started to cover the limbs. It wasn’t long after that, that the doctors finally knew what they were seeing. Wings, they boy had grown a pair of white tiny wings.

This was without a doubt one of the biggest discoveries ever made. They had just seen a real life angel. But being scientific men that they were, they needed answers. There simply had to be a logical explanation for this.

But their discovery wouldn’t be known to the world before the war. The German government kept it secret for as long as they could. But after losing the world war two, word got spread out. And soon the world had heard about the discovery of the angel boy.

By this time, the scientists had come to a conclusion and a lot of theories, that the boy was indeed human, he was born human and his blood was human. He had blood of the ABO group system, and not something entirely different. But due to the lack of knowledge and technology, the proof of this being correct could not be confirmed until 1988.

Until then, he was simply known to the world as an angel. But the scientific term for him was Arch Menschlichen or simply an Arch-Human. A human that was above other humans, a superior race.

The world marveled at the sight of him, Erik now a full grown man had grown his wings at shocking lenght of 10,5 feet. And he could indeed fly. People couldn’t comprehend the facts of there being an actual angel amongst them. The church of different religion damanded that he was given to them, that the angel belonged to the church, that he was a message from God. But Erik wasn’t a message from God or a miracle, he was just human like them but a new type of human.

But despite these facts no one listened and things got violent and Erik’s life become dangerous and he had to have surveillance 24/7. But the despite these precautions, Erik was still caught in an angry mob of people, wanting to touch and have the angel. He was crushed and died on the spot in the heap of humans.

Devestated by the fact that they had killed the angel, many people took their on lives as punishment for their sins that day. No longer would the world see an angel again. But they were wrong.

Scathered across the world, other Arch-humans got discovered, but none were older than 1928 and none had white wings. No the colors were many and some even had two perhaps three different colors. And the world once again marveled at this.

At first they were few but as the years past, they increased in numbers. By now the scientists could include new facts to their theories. They all could grow and ungrow their wings back into their backs, giving The Arch-humans a chance to hide them. They all had different colors but some of the colors was more usual than the rest. Colors like blue, red, dark grey, black, green and brown. The more unusual the color was the stronger the Arch-human. Some Arch-human go the wings at a young age, but it was more usual at the age of teenagers, when puberty started to hit. But there were even a few cases where people at age of 30-40 got wings, but in all of these cases, the wings never grew big enough to fly with. Some Arch-humans‘ wings never grew big or strong enough to fly with but the majority did.

Then in Australia in 1952 a new white winged Arch-human was born. At the age of 4 a girl by the name of Alicia Martin whom had just grown her wings, howed some new traits that hadn’t been seen before. She had hightened sences, her sight, her smell and her hearing. She had eyes like an eagle, a nose like a bloodhound and ears like a bat. Soon there after Arch-humans that were born after 1952 also had these traits.

Russia in 1964, a boy by the name of Dimitri Belikov was born, at the age of 8 he grew white wings. He had hightened sences and new traits of super human strenght, speed and movability. And once again Arch-humans after that too had these traits.

1970, Sweden a boy by the name of Olof Svensson was born, at the age of 5 he grew white wings and showed new traits of hightened immune system and healing of wounds on his body.

In Japan, 1983 a girl was born and named Sakuya Imoto, at the age of 2 she grew white wings and showed new traits of fangs and claws that could grow and ungrow like the wings.

The Arch-humans were evolving. And every single time a new trait was born, the person had white wings. Why this was they couldn’t explain, for they had yet to explain the reason for the wings in the first place. Some people liked to think of the new Arch-humans as stronger and better angels that had been sent from God to help them, but others thought that they were just a new form of human.

In 1988 the answer finally came, the technology had since then become better and new discoveries had been made. Now they could take a closer look at the DNA of an Arch-human. It was a mutant gene in the Human DNA. A gene that all humans possessed, but it was dormant in the majority of humans, but in some cases it was awakened and started to change the human, giving them the Arch-human trait.

The Arch-human mutant gene was constantly evolving and it all eveolved in the same pattarn. The process was slow, sometimes slower in others but as soon as the gene had evolved into a new more dominant form a person with white wings were born to show this. But Arch-humans after the winged new Arch-human never had white wings. Why this was, they couldn’t explain, just like they couldn’t explain many things. It all came to the conclussion that the Arch-humans were indeed humans after all and not some overpowerful being. But despite the change of scientific proof, humans didn’t change.

Despite the Arch-humans being stronger than humans, they were oppressed. Hunted by those who did not understand that they had the same rights like other humans. Many Arch-humans were kidnapped by cults and shown, chained at their sermons. Where they were praised, adored, loved and prayed to by people who came to see them. It was concidered an honor and a blessing to touch an Arch-human, to touch an angel. People came to touch them, taste their skin, drink their blood and take their feathers for protection from evil, simply be cleansed for their own sins

But no matter how much the Arch-humans protested and begged them to stop, they never did. Many died because of this, either of exhaustion or that they got sucked dry.

Other Arch-humans had it worse, they were highly targeted by human trafficking. The opportunity to have sex with an angel tempted many and many Arch-humans were victims of it and were never seen again. They were paid high for an Arch-human and some people even sold their own children for the money, they’ve gone so far to steal other peoples‘ Arch-human to sell.

Yes the selling and buying and praising of Arch-humans, made them all grow afraid. Many Arch-humans hid themselves away hoping to never be one of those who got taken by those who wanted them for their own greedy needs. The problem with Arch-humans grew big and soon many people started to try to help them the best way they could. Soon the PAHP was born, The Protection of Arch-Human Program.

The programs‘ purpose was to keep track on the Arch-humans, to have check-ups to see if they were healthy and treated right by their parents and family. As soon a hospital or a parent reported in a new Arch-human, they got registred on their list for protection. If an Arch-human felt threatened they could call the PAHP and demand bodyguards and they even got a monthly contribution for raising an Arch-human. It was soon against the laws to even ask an Arch-human for blood or feathers. To touch them without their consent was even more punishable in the eyes of the law and those who broke these laws had to pay high fines or even thrown into prison. The system was to protect Arch-humans but even this system like many others, was flawed.

Arch-humans whose names and location that they wanted to be kept secret was leaked to the media and some of them were victims of the trafficking or praising cults. Yes they were living in fear.

But the Arch-humans were always hopeful of change and of the birth of new white winged ones. In the culture of both Arch-humans and humans, they were seen as the most superior ones. They were the rarest and they always indicated a change in the Arch-human anatomy. They were the most sought after of all the Arch-humans for their rarity and could be sold for a fortune. But there had only been 5 reported white winged Arch-humans in history and only one of them was a victim for the trafficking. There could have been others born somewhere that had not been reported but none was known.

Because of the rarity of the white winged Arch-humans they were called by the rest as The Pure Ones. They brought hope to the Arch-humans. If Pure Ones were born there was still a chance for a change to come and hopefully The Pure Ones would be the ones to make that change. But as the years went by since the last born Pure One in Japan there had not been any known reports to the media of a new one. The year started to get by in the 21st century and still no signs of a Pure One. Soon over 20 years had passed and people began to lose hope.

But what they didn’t know was that on 27 of May, 1993 a boy was born a small town of Lima, Ohio. He unlike others before them he had been born with markings of an Arch-human on his back.

Never before had someone so young gotten their markings. He was something extraordinary and when the color could be determined he was placed in even more secret and protected form of the PAHP. They were hopeful that he would make a change and in the future this boy would be the first one to make a difference. Yes, because he was different and special, very special.
