Blaine stormed into the choir room, ignored everyone else sitting there and headed directly for Sam.

"Stay away from Kurt," he said in a low, threatening voice.

"Oh?" Sam said, rising from his seat, his eyes narrowing. "What are you going to do to stop me?" he asked quietly, a small smirk forming on his lips.

Blaine looked him directly in the eyes. He didn't smile. This was no time for smiling. "This," he said simply, clicking his lighter once. The flame grew at a twist of Blaine hand and flew towards Sam with nothing but a flick.

Sam screamed as the flame singed his clothes. Blaine wasn't aiming to kill. Just get the message across. And if some hair and skin got a little burned along the way, well… Sam was a shape shifter. He could figure something out, Blaine was sure.

Fortunately, Kurt entered at the exact moment Sam would've been seriously hurt. "BLAINE!" he shouted. "STOP!"

And Blaine did. The fire disappeared immediately and Kurt knelt down next to where Sam was spluttering on the floor, splaying his hands on his chest, where the worst of the burns were. A thin layer of frost appeared, cooling the angry red marks on Sam's skin. When Kurt was satisfied that Sam would be ok for the moment, he rounded on Blaine, who had been watching him with a calm expression.

"You can't keep doing that when something upsets you," Kurt said. "That's why we're stuck in this stupid class! To learn to control ourselves!"

"I can control myself," Blaine said.

"Yes, and that's what concerns me," Kurt said. Blaine thought he was stressing too much. "The fact you did that on purpose."

"So you haven't been hanging out with him? After school? Alone together? Almost kissing in the playground a block away from here?" Blaine asked.

That brought Kurt up short. "We have been hanging out," he said slowly. Blaine waited with a patient expression for the rest of the answer. Kurt swallowed. "Sam… tried to kiss me. But I stopped him. How did … how did you know?"

"Santana," Blaine said simply. "She told me in physical combat this morning. Sam was thinking about it."

Santana, Kurt cursed inwardly. "Nothing actually happened."

"Yes, but Sam still came onto you!" Blaine exclaimed. "Why can't you see how much of a big deal this is?"

"It doesn't matter how big you think it is, you can't just run around setting people on fire when they make you angry!" Kurt argued.

"So you don't think it's a big deal?" Blaine asked. "That Sam tried to kiss you and you hadn't told me?"

"I was going to tell you at lunch-"

"Were you?" Blaine asked. "Santana said you didn't want to bring it up because you were afraid of how I'd react."

Kurt clenched his jaw. "Well," he said slowly, "I was kind of right."

Blaine stared at him. "Yeah, you were." He shook his head slowly, as if he was trying to clear his head. "You know you were the one person I trusted completely in this entire place. You make me want to get my anger under control. The ice to my fire," he grimaced bitterly. "I reacted badly. I'm sorry." He looked at Sam. "I am. But after you tried to hide this… I don't know how I can be around you now."

Kurt's mouth fell open. "Blaine, I was only trying to -"

"No. Don't." He walked out of the room.

Kurt stared after him, swallowing back tears.

Sam sat up. "Kurt, I'm so-"

"Shut up," Kurt said, not even looking at him. "Just … don't talk." He knew it was pathetic to take out his anger on Sam. Yes, he did try to initiate the kiss but Kurt was the one who tried to hide it from Blaine. Just so something like this wouldn't happen.

Anger built up inside of him, something that rarely happened and he kicked a chair into the wall.

"Kurt," Quinn said from the corner, where she had been watching quietly. "Calm down. Go get a coffee."

Kurt glared at the psychic. "A coffee. You want me to get … a coffee?"

Quinn nodded and Kurt stared incredulously at the pink-haired girl. But he knew it would be stupid to not listen to her. "Trust me," she said, desperation lacing her voice. "You'll want Blaine to be there for you soon."

End Notes: Let me know whether you think I should continue this or not. I have a few ideas swimming around in my head, but unless people want to read it, I don't want to waste too much time on it.If I was to continue it, it would follow a stricter progression line, and the gaps in these stories would be filled in as we progress.

Please continue it! It's interesting! I really like the concept and I'm a sucker for supernatural stories :)

Thank you! :)

I don't know, I personally like it as a series of vignettes, really. I think it suits your writing style better.

First of all, thanks for the feedback. I might try to write a few things and see if I can keep them as a selection of vignettes. I'm beginning to consider keeping it like that, but I guess I'll just see what my brain churns out.

i think this could go somewhere it is good so far. hope to get to read more

This is great!!! Please write more! :)
