Life in Show town was actually great once you got used to the heat that came with the sun shining its heart out on the town on most days. It rarely rained here and when it did, it was mostly in the afternoon hours. Nothing major happened in this town so life was fairly normal for Rachel and Kurt as they went about with their little business. When they had met five years ago, Kurt did not know that his roommate and business partner would turn out to be his best friend but life is just that way. His father did not like the fact that Kurt would not be living with him anymore but after just the right amount of convincing - which included a promise to visit every weekend and pointing out that they would be living 45 minutes from him - Burt Hummel finally gave in. Besides he now had Carole and Finn to keep him company and keep an eye on him for Kurt.
The alarm went off and Kurt groaned as he rolled over to shut the wicked thing off. It was still another ten minutes before Kurt got up and off his bed to head for the shower. When he was done and dressed he headed for Rachels room banging loudly enough to wake her up before proceeding to the kitchen to fix breakfast for the both of them. As the clock was striking 7.30am,he was opening the door to their shop. That was the advantage of living on the premises, you did not have to rush to work on fear of running late. Today was one of the busy days since they had a couple of orders from both regular and new clients for different cake designs. Kurt was happy that they had been able to employ two people to help them. Before, when it was just him and Rachel, they had to work extra hard and at times way late and they were always exhausted by the time they decided to call it a day.
"Morning Kurt," he did not need to look up to know who it was as he replied to Tina and Quinn, their assistants. Almost at the same time, the door linking the house premise to the bakery premise opened revealing a sleepy looking Rachel.
"Did you go back to sleep, Rachel?" Kurt asked his friend following her to the kitchen Tina right behind him.
"Cant I sleep for just a bit more? You do it too sometimes." She retorted back as she poured herself some coffee to take with Kurts delicious pancakes. Kurt just rolled his eyes at her as he and Tina put on their aprons and hat. They both took on different projects to work on, Rachel joining them a while later. They worked diligently picking up conversations now and then.
The day went on smoothly with moderate happenings and by the time closing time rolled in, they were proud of the amount of work they had successfully accomplished for the day. The remaining work could wait until the next day. They bid Tina and Quinn goodbye as they locked up.
"So," Rachel started as they sat down at their little dining table for dinner, "Are you still going on a date with Adam tomorrow? "
Kurt smiled at the mention of his boyfriend. He was already beginning to miss him. "Yes," he finally answered with a grin. When dinner was over, Kurt cleared the table and went to wash the dishes while Rachel went over to the couch and began flipping through channels trying to find a suitable one that they could watch before finally retiring to bed.
The next day went much more like the previous day until evening rolled around. By then, the girls had already began teasing Kurt who somehow kept checking the time every ten minutes. They had one more hour before closing time which was at seven and Adam would pick Kurt up at seven thirty in the evening. By seven, Kurt had already left for the bathroom ten minutes earlier unable to take the wait much longer. He wanted to have enough time to make himself handsome for his boyfriend.
Thirty minutes and a pile of clothes later, Kurt was finally ready but still jumping around the house like a teenager. It was not his first date but it was the first time he would be seeing his boyfriend since before he left to visit his parents and that was a month ago. He could not believe that he had not seen Adam for that long. The sound of the doorbell jolted him out of his thoughts and he could feel the excitement and nervousness creeping back into him as he ran back to his room to take a last glance at himself.
"Kurt, your boyfriends here," he had Rachel shouting from the living room. Two deep breaths and he finally came out of his room.
"Hi gorgeous," Adam greeted as he came towards him, "Did you miss me?" He opened his hands invitingly and Kurt fell right into them hugging him tight and filling his lungs with his boyfriends scent.
"Very much," he finally replied. His attention was so much on holding his boyfriend again that he did no even register that they were heading out until he was sitting in Adams car.
"Where are we going?" he could not help but wonder.
"I cant tell you that," Adam replied with a sly grin which made Kurt pout. "Uh-huh,that wont work right now," only for Kurt to pout harder causing Adam to burst out laughing. "Its more fun this way," he finally answered before turning to focus on the road.
The rest of the drive was done with both Adam filling him in on how his visit was and comfortable silence towards the end. When Adam parked the car down the road leading up the cliff, Kurt turned to raise his eyebrows questioningly at him but Adam was already out of the car and coming to his side. He opened the door for Kurt and held his hand out for him. Kurt took it after a bit of hesitation and agreed to be led out of the car.
"Adam, what are we doing here?" his curiosity demanded to know plus he was starting to feel uneasy. They were alone on the road leading to a cliff at night. Honestly, he was confused. Who goes to see the ocean at night? Definitely not him. He shivered slightly when the wind picked up again and looked up to question Adam again when he noticed it. He stopped suddenly and just gaped for a while.
"Adam?" he hoped it conveyed all his questions.
"Surprise!" Adam was beside him I that instant. "Do you like it? Were going to dine here,"
"Adam, oh my god Adam," that seemed like the only thing his brain could formulate and he repeated it over and over again as he let go of Adams hand and moved forward slowly. It was the most romantic thing he had ever seen. There, a few metres shy of the cliff end and under a candlelit tree, was a beautifully set dinner table covered in a simple white tablecloth. At the middle of the table in a glass vase there were orchids decorating the table and next to it stood a tall candle holder with a single candle which further lit up the dining table.
"Come on gorgeous, lets seat," Adam pulled out a chair for him to seat which he did but not before hugging Adam so tight he complained. As soon as they were both settled, a waiter appeared at their side to take their order. Kurt looked at Adam with raised eyebrows but Adam just winked at him and asked him to place his order before he ordered his.
"How did you get this and what are they doing here?" Kurt could not help his peaking curiosity.
"I have a friend who knows someone who was willing to help," Adam could not get over Kurts excited face. He was so happy that he was the one causing the happy, pleased face that his boyfriend had. Dinner went on quite well with both of them sneaking glances at each other when they thought the other was not looking and blushing when they caught the other in the act.
They were done eating and were just talking - well Kurt was gushing about the place - when he was shushed in the middle of telling his boyfriend for the hundredth time how much he loved him by the said boyfriends lips on his. When he catches on to what was happening, he began moving his lips in sync with Adams. It started gentle but soon grew urgent and when they parted for breath and looked into each others eyes, an understanding was silently made.
The drive to Adams apartment was a combination of hands touching whenever possible, hands roaming, little moans, trying not to jump each other right there and trying not to end up dead. It was a miracle they arrived at Adams place in one piece but for them, claiming each others mouth was more important. Luckily for them, they met no one on their way to the apartment and they were at least thankful for that since the only signal coming from both their brains was unadulterated lust. They kissed and groped their whole way to the apartment and by the time they were in the apartment, Kurt was shirtless, if you considered it was only still on him on one hand, hanging off of it downwards, but otherwise, his upper body was uncovered. Adam was struggling not to trip on his trousers which were falling off of him thanks to Kurt. As soon as the door shut, Adam was on Kurt again, claiming his mouth while having him pinned to the wall. Their lips stayed locked clumsily as they finished undressing each other, only separating a little to remove Adams shirt. After a heated make out session, Adam lifted Kurt into his arms, Kurts legs around his waist and carried him to his room dropping them both on the bed.
It was everything Kurt expected and more as Adam moved in him. Adam had been hitting his prostate with every thrust but only now did he start feeling the impact. A moan escaped his mouth without being summoned and be began thrusting his hips upwards to meet Adams thrusts. He only knew that be needed more. He pulled Adam down by his neck and connected their mouths. The kiss was sloppy and Adams lips stayed on his even after they parted, his warm breath ghosting over his lips as he moaned and sped up his pace taking them both to the heights of pleasure.
As Kurt lay on Adams chest - long after they had calmed down from their highs and cleaned up - a stray thought fleeted through his mind They hadnt used protection it said. It was a fleeting thought, so he paid it not much attention as he closed his eyes and fell asleep.
