Chapter 20

Mercedes knocked on Puck's door; from which music could be heard coming out of. When no one came, they just walked in, thinking they couldn't be heard. The music got louder as they went inside and they could hear some people shouting over the music and laughing.

They walked towards the living room, seeing Puck, Artie, Mike and Finn sat on the couch trying to talk and Brittany, Santana and Tina dancing to the music.

Tina saw us come in and she ran over to give us all a hug, everyone else looking over to see who it is.

"Kurt!" Brittany squealed, running over to hug Kurt.

He smiled and hugged her back, before he hugged all the others hello. He had really missed them and it was so good to see them all again.

Not long after, Quinn and Sam came in and Sam walked over to Mercedes to hug her. Kurt smiled at that before he sat down on the couch, everyone sitting down too. Puck turned the volume down so they could hear each other.

"So how is Dalton?" Tina asked with a smile.

Kurt smiled and nodded, "It's really good."

"He even has a boyfriend now!" Rachel said with a grin, as she sat on Finn's lap.

Kurt blushed slightly as everyone looked at him with a smile or in Puck and Santana's case; a teasing grin.

"You have a boyfriend? Aww Kurtie, that's so great" Brittany said, hugging him again from beside him.

Kurt smiled at Brittany when Finn asked, "How is he doing?"

Kurt looked at Finn with big eyes, "He is fine, but let's not talk about that now."

Puck shrugged, "Okay let's get this party started!" and turned the music up again.

Everyone cheered, but Kurt just smiled, his thoughts on Blaine again. Maybe he should have just have stayed with Blaine.

Everyone was either dancing or drinking, except Kurt, who was still sat on the same spot on the couch.

"Kurt, come on! Stop moping and get your ass on the dance floor." Santana said, dragging Kurt out of the couch.

Kurt shook his head, "I'm really not in the mood for this right now, San"

Santana rolled her eyes and almost fell over the table, "Kurt we threw this party for you, so please just stop moping over whatever you are moping over and have fun! Come on, have something to drink! It helps you a lot."

"No, I'm not going to drink."

"Finn is the driver tonight, so there is no reason why you shouldn't."

Kurt sighed, "I'm fine."

"Okay, let me get you some soda then." Santana said and walked away, not even bothering to hear Kurt's reply.

It doesn't take long before she came back and before he drank from it, he smelled it to be sure she didn't put anything in it. He couldn't smell anything special so he drank it.

It tasted different and not like any soda he had ever tasted, but it was really good.

"What is this?" Kurt asked and drank the rest of the big, red cup, he was really thirsty.

Santana shrugged with a smirk and started dancing with Brittany. Kurt frowned and felt himself getting a little bit lighter. She had put alcohol in this, hadn't she? Kurt sighed, but couldn't deny the good feeling. And all he wanted was more.

He walked over to Santana and asked what he had been drinking to which she just pointed at the table with the many different types of alcohol. Kurt shook his head and walked over, trying to find something that might be good. This red thing looked really good.

He poured some in his cup and mixed it with a little soda. He tasted it and frowned a little. It didn't taste like the other he had had, but it was still good, just a lot stronger.

Kurt drank some more and sat down beside Quinn, who was sipping her drink. Why had he been so scared of drinking? It wasn't that big of a deal and you only drink good stuff that is a little stronger then soda.

"What's your boyfriend's name?" Quinn asked.

Kurt smiled at the thought of Blaine, "His name is Blaine."

Quinn nodded and smiled at Kurt, "I'm happy for you."

Kurt was a little taken aback about hearing this from Quinn but smiled anyway, "Thanks. And how are you?"

Quinn looked down at her drink, "I'm okay."

"Doesn't look like you are…" Kurt mumbled.

Quinn looked back up with a smile this time, "I'm fine, just something on my mind."

Kurt nodded and patted her hand softly, "You're gonna be okay. Look at me! I was in a really bad place and look where I am now. I have a great boyfriend, and even though he is hurt right now, we are really happy."

"What happened to him?"

Kurt drank some more, "It's a really long story and this is a party, so let's not talk about it."

Quinn nodded, "Okay."

Kurt wasn't sure how many drinks he had had, but he had started to see funny and everything was moving all kind of directions. And he was not sure when this happened, but at the moment everyone was sitting in a circle for some reason.

Kurt leant over to Mercedes and his head hit her shoulder much sooner than he thought. He laughed a little at that before he asked Mercedes what was going on.

Mercedes laughed, "We're gonna play truth or dare!"

Kurt grinned, "Really? I've never played that before! So excited!"

Rachel started and asked Mercedes, who said truth.

"Do you love Sam?" she said with a big smile.

Mercedes giggled and nodded, which made Sam smile at her.

Mercedes asked Puck and he says dare.

"I dare you to… kiss Quinn!"

Quinn dropped her smile and glared slightly at Mercedes. Puck just grinned and moved over to her. Quinn smiled a little and let Puck kiss her, after a few seconds pulling away.

Puck smiled brightly and asks Kurt, "Kurt, truth or dare?" he said, wiggling his eyebrows.

Kurt grinned, "Truth!"

Puck looked a little disappointed at that, but started to think of a good question.

"Were you in love with Blaine when you were dating that other guy?"

"How do you know this?" Kurt asked, laughing a little.

"Have my ways," Puck shrugged as he waited for an answer.

Kurt sighed a little, "Yes…"

Everyone looked at Kurt, wondering exactly how much they'd missed.

"Quinn!" Kurt said excitingly and she picked truth.

Kurt thought for a second, "Are you in love with anyone?" he smiled and everyone looked at Quinn.

Quinn blushed slightly and nodded. All the girls and Kurt started asking who, but Quinn didn't want to say, only saying, "Kurt didn't ask who!"

They continued this, but after a while everyone wanted to dance or something else, so they turned the music on again. Kurt danced for a little while, but he really wanted some more to drink so he took the first bottle he saw and drank from it.

"Kurt! You have had enough" Finn exclaimed, pulling the empty bottle away with something really, really strong in.

Kurt whined, "I want more!" as he frowned at the strong taste in his mouth and tried to grab another bottle.

"No, you are not having more." Finn said as he took away the new bottle in Kurt's hand that he had only got a little taste of.

"Why? This is fun!" Kurt whined again.

Suddenly someone was spinning the room and Kurt went over to the couch and fell down.

"Kurt, you okay?" Finn asked.

"Dizzy…" Kurt mumbled and sat up. He found something else to drink and got a little sip before Finn took it away from him again.

"Kurt stop, you can't have more. You should go home now"

Kurt whined in protest, almost crying, "no I want to stay! It's so fun here!"

Kurt looked around and could see Quinn and Puck making out in a corner and Mercedes and Rachel dancing with many others. It was really hard to see anything right now!

Finn rolled his eyes and pulled Kurt up from the couch. They start walking out towards the car after Kurt shouted a goodbye to everyone. Kurt's legs weren't working for some reason, so Finn had to practically carry Kurt.

"Wait, wait… I don't feel good…" Kurt mumbled as he pulled away from Finn to try find a place he could lay down.

Finn tried to grab Kurt before he fell, but he doesn't catch him before Kurt is on his fours and throwing up on the grass in Puck's garden. Finn frowned at the sight but pulled Kurt up again when it looked like he was done.

"Are you okay?" Finn asks.

Kurt nodded, "Yes, so now we can go inside and drink more!"

"No we're going home." Finn said and walked with Kurt to the car.

Kurt got in and Finn started to drive to their house.

"How much is the clock?" Kurt asked, closing his eyes.

"2am" Finn said.

Finn stopped the car and helped Kurt out.

"You are so nice." Kurt mumbled with a smile and hugged Finn from the side as they slowly walked towards the front door.

Finn smiled, "You are nice too Kurt, but let's get you inside."

Kurt nodded, mumbling a "goody", as Finn opened the door. There's still a light on and Finn stopped to hear if anyone was up. He could hear steps coming their way and Kurt mumbled an "ups" as Burt came in to sight, sighing when he saw Kurt.

"Is he okay?" He asked, looking at Finn.

"Dad!" Kurt shouted excitingly, still hugging Finn's body.

"He is totally gone, but he is fine. Listen I need to get some others home too, could you…?"

"No don't leave Finn! We can have warm milk!" Kurt whined, holding Finn tighter.

Finn chuckled, "Another time buddy."

Burt shook his head and grabbed Kurt around his waist, dragging him away from Finn, "Go, I'll take it from here"

Finn thanked him and Kurt tried to whisper to Finn, but everyone could clearly hear him, "Shh, Dad can't know I have had some alcohol tonight."

Finn chuckled, "Your secret is safe with me."

Kurt smiled and looked at Burt with an innocent look as Finn walked out.

"Am I in trouble?" Kurt asked, looking at his dad with puppy eyes, "I didn't mean to-to stay out that long… I was not drinking!"

"Kurt, I can see you have been drinking, so yes you are in trouble" Burt said simply and helped Kurt into the kitchen.

"But dad it wasn't my fault!" he said, his tongue getting lost in his mouth, "I wasn't go-going to drink, but Santana tricked me…"

Burt smiled a little and placed Kurt at a chair, "Let's talk about this tomorrow," he said as he poured a glass of water and gave it to Kurt, "drink this."

Kurt took the glass but didn't want to have anything more to drink tonight.

"I just wanted to think about something else…" Kurt mumbled and Burt sat down with a frown.

"Kurt… are you okay?"

Kurt looked at his dad, "I'm dizzy."

"No, I mean with all that is happening with Blaine."

"Oh… yeah I'm okay. Blaine will be fine again, so everything is super-duper good!"

Burt smiled; he had to talk to him later about this, "Okay, drink some water now."

Kurt drank half the glass before Burt helped Kurt into his bed.

"Love you dad" he mumbled and promptly fell asleep.

Burt smiled at his son, "Love you too, Kurt."

Xx

Kurt groaned when he opened his eyes the next morning. He had forgotten to close the curtains, so bright light was shining into his room. His head was pounding and it felt like he had been eating sand all night.

Kurt forced himself out of bed, taking off the clothes he still had on and changing into something more comfortable.

He walked down the stairs and instantly smelled the scent of coffee. He walked to the kitchen and made himself a cup before drinking it. With a pleasured sigh he drank up the cup, already feeling better.

"Good morning" Burt said and came into the kitchen.

"Hey…" Kurt mumbled and poured himself another cup.

Burt chuckled, "How are you feeling today?"

A weird feeling suddenly overwhelmed Kurt and he slammed his cup quickly on the counter, "hold that thought!"

Burt frowned as Kurt ran out of the kitchen and into the bathroom on the other end of the house. He could hear Kurt throwing up so he walked to the bathroom where Kurt was bending over the toilet.

"You okay?" he asked as Kurt flushed the toilet and washed his hands and mouth.

"I'm fine" Kurt mumbled, trying to ignore the intense taste in his mouth.

They walked back to the kitchen and Kurt found a glass of water to try to get that taste in his mouth away.

"So did you have fun last night?" Burt asked and sat down by the table, "You are still in trouble by the way," he added.

"It was fine and I know… I'm sorry, I just needed to get my mind off all that is happening and relax." Kurt sighed and sat down by the table too, taking a little sip of the water.

Burt nodded, "You said that last night." Burt hesitated for a second before continuing,"Are you okay Kurt?"

Kurt shrugged. How was he really feeling? He would lie if he said this didn't affect him at all, but he was more worried about Blaine. He didn't want Blaine to be hurting, he deserved to be happy.

"It's not easy, but I'm fine. I just wish I could do more for Blaine."

"I'm sure he appreciates you just being there for him. And sometimes that's the only thing we can do."

Kurt nodded, "Yeah, I just want him to be okay."

Burt smiled sadly, "I'm sure everything will work out. Can I ask what happened to him?"

Kurt swallowed the water in his mouth and looked at his father, "I don't think I should be the one to tell you this… he really doesn't want anyone to know."

"I understand, but just let him know I'm here for him, both of you, so if you every need me you know where to find me."

"Thanks dad," Kurt smiled and got up, "I think I'm going to go for a little walk, really need some air. And then I'll go see how Blaine is. I'll be back for dinner."

Kurt put the glass in the washing machine as Burt nodded, "Okay, but when you come back, we need to talk about your punishment."

Kurt sighed, "Fine… bye dad."

"Bye kiddo."

Xx

The sun was really bright and warm, so Kurt was thankful he put on a pair of sunglasses before he went out. His head was pounding, but the fresh air was really helping and after an hour he decided to walk to the park to relax a little before going to Blaine.

He sat down on one of the benches and watched the kids play around and their parents sitting looking after them. There were a few people with dogs too and Kurt couldn't help but smile. He had always loved dogs.

A woman in her early 30's with a cute little dog sat down beside him on the bench and pulled out a book from her purse. The little dog jumped up on the bench between them and the woman looked up from her book.

"Oh god, I'm so sorry! Felix, get down!" she said and tried to pull the little dog off.

"Don't worry about it," Kurt said with a smile and started patting Felix, making the woman smile.

Felix lied close to Kurt and seemed to enjoy Kurt's hand running over his little body.

"He likes you. Do you have a dog?"

Kurt smiled and looked at the woman again, "No, but I would love one. I'm Kurt by the way."

Kurt reached out his hand and the woman took it with a warm smile, "I'm Lauren, nice to meet you."

"You too, what-"

His phone started ringing and Kurt mumbled a sorry before he looked who was calling. With a smile, he picked it up.

"Well, hello there."

Lauren smiled and got back to her book as Kurt heard Blaine answer him.

"Hey, how was last night?"

Still patting Felix, Kurt spoke into the phone, "It was fun, but I have to say I'm regretting it a little right now."

Kurt could see Lauren was looking at him in the corner of her eye, but he didn't think much about it when he heard Blaine laugh.

That was a nice sound he could get used to hearing every day. Kurt blushed at the thought.

"Uh oh, someone had a little too much yesterday?"

Kurt grinned at that, "Maybe, but how are you?"

"Bored," Blaine said simply with a sigh.

Kurt smiled, "Well, would you like some company?"

"I would love that, and if it's not too much to ask could you bring with you something fun? There isn't anything fun here, so I really need to be entertained."

"Oh so I'm not entertaining enough?" Kurt teased, blushing when he remembered Lauren was still sat beside him.

"I didn't say that…" Blaine said and Kurt could hear him smiling.

"I'll see what I can find, see you soon then."

"Okay great, bye."

Kurt smiled and hung up. The smile dropped though when he sees who is coming towards them.

That stupid smirk.

"It was nice meeting you," Kurt said to Lauren quickly and she looked up at him, "I need to go-"

"Why are you in such a hurry?" Sebastian asked and stopped in front of them.

Lauren gave him a smile, but Kurt just sighed, "What do you want Sebastian?"

"Do I have to want something to talk to you?" he asked with a smirk.

Kurt rolled his eyes and got up, "Yes, but I don't have time for you right now. Lauren it was nice meeting you" Kurt said and smiled at Lauren who smiled back with a confused look.

"How's your boyfriend?"

"Sebastian please just stop, I'm not in the mood for your games. You know perfectly well how he is, so just leave us alone."

Sebastian looked at Lauren for a sec before at Kurt again, "This isn't a game Kurt. I know I did something stupid, but I really care about Blaine. I'm sorry for what I did…"

Kurt frowned, not sure what to believe right now, "I'm not the one you should say sorry to, Blaine is the one that got hurt."

"I know, and I'm going to talk to Blaine at school on Monday."

"He won't be back at school for a few weeks; he needs to be in bed for a while to rest."

Sebastian frowned, "Why?"

Kurt looked around, "He isn't any better, so just leave it okay."

"It was nice meeting you Kurt, I should go now. Come on Felix" Lauren said and walked away.

Kurt decided to do the same and walked the other way.

"Kurt, wait!" Sebastian said and walked after him.

Kurt quickly turned around, "Can you just leave it! I'm not in the mood for you shit Sebastian, so just get away!"

Sebastian looked surprised for a second before he started to talk, "I know you don't like me, Kurt, and I get it. But I just wanted to give you this."

Kurt looked down at the little card in Sebastian hand and he took it to look closer at it.

"My father is a lawyer. I don't know exactly what happened to Blaine, but it looks like it was something bad. So I asked my dad if he would take a case like this and he told me he could. Blaine is the one to decide of course, but I just wanted to help and let him know my father can help him."

"Why are you doing this?" Kurt asked, looking at Sebastian to see any signs of lying, "if I remember correctly, you where the one to put him in this situation."

"I know and that's why I'm doing this. But we both know this would happen at some point anyways. His father wouldn't have changed his mind about Blaine if he waited longer."

"It's not about that, it's about Blaine not being ready to tell them. You are gay too so I'm sure you can understand a little, I certainly can."

Sebastian sighed, "You're right, but I'm trying to help Blaine now, so can you just please talk to him? Maybe my father can help."

"Fine, I'll do it for Blaine."

Sebastian nodded a thank you and they both walked their separate ways.

Xx

Kurt knocked on the door and waited for Cooper to open it, and in a few seconds he does.

"Well, hello there, how can I help you?" Cooper said with his charming smile and Kurt can't help to roll his eyes with a little smile.

"Nice to see you too, Cooper" he said and walked in.

He can hear Cooper chuckle behind him as he closed the door, "Can I get you anything?"

Kurt turned around to look at Cooper, "No thanks, I'm just going to go up to Blaine."

Cooper nodded with a smile and Kurt walked up the stairs. He knocked on the door and can hear Blaine sigh, "What Coop? I haven't moved so you-"

Kurt opened the door, "You aren't allowed to move?"

Kurt grinned and looked at Blaine who smiled when he saw that it was him. He was still sitting in bed with a grey t-shirt on and all messy hair. Kurt smiled even more at that, it's so adorable.

"No, that's how bad he is!" Blaine said dramatically.

Kurt chuckled and sat down on the other side of the bed. He moves closer to Blaine, "Well, I'm here to save you."

With a smile, Blaine looked at Kurt, "I'm glad to hear that."

They both smiled, looking into each other's eyes, and moved closer. They pressed their lips softly against each other and Blaine moved his hand to Kurt's cheek and caressed it with his thumb. Kurt smiled in the kiss, blushing at the feeling, and deepened it.

After a few minutes, Blaine pulled away and mumbled, "I've missed you"

Kurt blushed again and smiled, "I've missed you too"

Blaine smiled and kissed him again softly, "You are adorable."

Kurt pulled away, rolling his eyes and smiled, "Stop, I'm not"

"You are! So cute when you blush like you're doing right now" Blaine laughed at Kurt's face.

Kurt lay down and hid his face in the bed. Blaine chuckled and watched his adorable boyfriend.

Kurt moved closer and rested his head on Blaine's shoulder and looked at their feet tangled together.

"So how was it yesterday? What did you guys do? Well it looks like you had some to drink" Blaine teased and Kurt groaned.

"It was fun, but Santana tricked me!"

"Tricked you?" Blaine asked with a laugh.

His laugh gave Kurt more butterflies than when he heard it over the phone and he smiled, cuddling closer to Blaine.

"Yes, she said it was soda, but it was defiantly not soda!"

Blaine laughed, "You had fun though and I'm happy you went out to have some fun and meet your friends again. And next time I'll come with you."

Kurt smiled, "Okay deal."

The thought about what he and Sebastian had talked about in the park came to his mind when he feels the little card in his pants.

"Blaine… can I ask you something?" he asked and sat up on the bed, looking at Blaine.

Blaine frowned but nodded, "Of course, is everything okay?"

"I don't want to push you or anything, but I met Sebastian in the park before I came here. And he was asking about you and he gave me this." Kurt got the card out of his pants and gave it to Blaine who looked at it, "His father is a lawyer and he said if you want, his father can help you. But only if you want to."

Blaine was still looking at the card, not saying anything.

"What do you think?" Kurt asked after a while.

"Okay" Blaine said and looked up at Kurt.

"Okay what?" Kurt asked.

"I'll do it. I don't want my father to get away with this. He didn't do a little mistake; he knew what he was doing. He didn't slap me one time and say sorry after, he beat me up."

Kurt moved closer and hugged Blaine, "I'm sorry this had to happen to you Blaine, but you are doing the right thing and before you know it, it'll all be over."

Chapter 20
