Second chapter of this fic, and still reposting, sadly. Middle School Blaine seeks to get better.
"Have you started on the history essay that Mr. Richards assigned yesterday?" Blaine asks while spinning around in Kurt's desk chair as his best friend switches through TV channels.
Kurt nods, "Yeah. I've only done a little, though." His eyes flicker to Blaine for a second. "You haven't even started have you?"
Blaine lips turn into a smile, "No, I haven't."
Kurt chuckles, finally landing on Say Yes To The Dress, and he shoves another piece of popcorn into his mouth. Blaine stops spinning for a moment to see what was on the TV, before picking back up to his previous speed.
"If you break my chair, Blaine Anderson, you will have to pay me double of what I paid for it." Kurt warns, and Blaine immediately slows to nice pace.
Kurt's attention turned to the show in front of him while Blaine continuous his spinning. It was silent except for the voices of a girl trying on dresses and her family and friends making choices.
"Kurt?" Blaine then speaks up.
Kurt doesn't avert his eyes, but responds,"Huh?"
"Do you remember that day when we were kids and we, um, we kissed?"
Kurt turned his attention to Blaine who was currently facing opposite of him, but then spun to face him with a slight blush on his cheeks. He looked at Kurt expectantly.
"I- yeah. I remember that, why?"
Blaine shrugs, spinning once more. "Just wondering."
Kurt nods, but furrows his eyebrows. This had been the first time Blaine brought this subject up since the day it had happened.
Blaine's cycle turned him to Kurt, and he realized that Kurt was staring at him, which made his blush deepen.
"Why'd you bring it up?" Kurt asks, eating some more popcorn.
Blaine shrugs again, but says nothing at first. After a while, he continues. "If you kissed anyone, you would tell me right? 'Cause I'm you're best friend?"
Kurt's eyebrows furrowed once more, "Yeah, I guess. Blaine, you're being weird."
"Well, I was just wondering." He paused. "Um, you know Rachel? In our class?"
"Uh, duh, we've been in her class since Pre-K, Blaine. Of course I know her." Kurt gives a slight eye roll, "What are you on about?"
"She kissed me."
Kurt's mouth fell open a bit. He couldn't believe it. I mean, its not like he didn't notice that half of his girl classmates fawned over Blaine and tried 'flirting' with him all the time. But Rachel? Out of them all?
Blaine continued. "And she said I sucked at kissing."
Kurt couldn't help the laugh that came out, and Blaine's eyes widened.
"Kurt! Don't laugh at me!" He exclaimed, covering his face with his hand.
Kurt laughed again, "What else am I suppose to do? Suggest that we make out for practice?"
Blaine stayed quiet, avoiding eye contact with his best friend. Realization hit Kurt then.
"No, Blaine. Please tell me you didn't actually want me to suggest it." Kurt glares at the boy sitting in his desk chair. Blaine scrunched up his nose, shrugging with a small smile. "Oh my god."
"What? We've kissed before, so it's not like it's that big of a deal!" Blaine argues, pleading with his eyes.
Kurt rolls his eyes, "We were nine, Blaine!"
"So?"
"Nine year olds are idiots! We didn't even properly kiss, our lips were just touching." Kurt told him.
Blaine shrugged, "Yeah, but Rachel told me I suck! I kind of want to kiss her again and have her not be disgusted by me. Please, Kurt? For me? Pretty, pretty please? With a new Marc Jacobs bag on top? Do you want me to suck at kissing for the rest of my life?"
Kurt glared at the curly haired boy. Blaine's big brown eyes got even bigger with pleading.
"Please?" Blaine whimpered again.
Kurt let out a sigh, "Fine! But we will never speak of this again, promise?"
Blaine's grin was wide and appreciative, "Of course! I promise!"
Blaine practically jumped out the chair with glee, sitting on the bed in front of Kurt, criss cross. Kurt sat up, moving the popcorn ball away from him, and scooted closer to his best friend.
Blaine sat with a blush rising on his cheeks. He was about to kiss his best friend. He was about to actually kiss Kurt.
Kurt settled in front of Blaine, frowning at him. Blaine gave him a smile again, and Kurt couldn't help but smile a little. "You suggested," he said, "you initiate."
Blaine nodded, taking a deep breath. "Do you want to count down like when we were kids?"
Kurt rolled his eyes before shrugging. "You're an idiot, but whatever. However you want to-"
Kurt's sentence was interrupted by Blaine's lips and he was about to pull away and tell him just how rude that was but then he realized what exactly was happening. He was kissing someone. And not just someone, but Blaine.
Blaine's lips were firm on Kurt's and Kurt's mind just kind of melted. He didn't know how to react and his hands were sitting awkwardly in his lap, unknowing of what to do.
Kurt the felt Blaine start to pull away and he just didn't know what Rachel was on about because that was awesome. As soon as Kurt felt Blaine's lips leave his, his body reacted and his hands shot up to Blaine's face pulling him back to him.
Blaine didn't resist, weirdly, Kurt was halfway expecting him to pull away and laugh and tell him that that was enough. But he didn't. He kissed Kurt again with a little bit more confidence, breathing harshly through his nose before suddenly moving his lips against Kurt's and Kurt was glad he was sitting down because he's sure he would've just fallen to the ground like jelly if he were standing. Kurt tried his best to reciprocate the movement, Blaine's hands moving to his shoulders.
Blaine wasn't sure what to do next, he and Rachel only got so far before she quit. Also, he didn't realize how awesome if felt to kiss someone whose lips weren't covered with banana flavored lip balm. Blaine could feel Kurt's nose pressed against his cheek and it made him blush slightly, having Kurt so close to him.
He felt Kurt's mouth open and he thought Kurt was about to pull away, so he began, too. But Kurt just pulled him closer, taking his lips again. Blaine whimpered ever so slightly, hoping to god Kurt didn't hear it. This was so much more than he asked for. Though, he wasn't complaining. He was also very aware that the guys in their class such as Noah and Finn would never suggest what he had, and especially wouldn't be enjoying it like he was now.
Blaine was now moving his lips with Kurt's and he's not sure on how that began. He also didn't know how his hand ended up in Kurt's hair, but he didn't move it, and Kurt didn't pull away.
It was definitely a sensory overload, Kurt realized, when Blaine's hand raked through his hair. He also realized that his hair took him half an hour to do this morning and that was just unacceptable.
"Blaine," Kurt sighed, meaning it to be scolding, but for some reason it sounded airy and pleading. His face burned red, "My hair." He concluded, much more authoritative.
Blaine immediately let go, as if reality hit him. Kurt couldn't stop from glancing at Blaine's red lips that were on his not two seconds ago, and his flushed cheeks. Blaine cleared his throat, nodding. "Uh, yeah. Yeah, sorry about the hair. I guess I got a little carried away there." He laughed, his eyes still wide.
Kurt chuckled, too, "It's not a big deal. Not doing anything today, anyways."
Then it was silent. Silent and awkward. They both just looked at each other for a while, before Kurt heard his dad's car pull in the drive.
"Thanks." Blaine concluded, a shy smile on his lips.
Kurt smiled back, "Don't mention it."
Next up: Senior year! Hope you enjoyed!
