Most glee club relationships lasted a few months, a respectable amount of time for a high school romance. Mike and Tina’s longevity surprised him, but they ended up lasting all the way until senior year, when they went to colleges on opposite coasts. If he were honest with himself, however, his favorite couple to watch was Kurt and Blaine. He’d seen Kurt at some of his lowest points, so it was nice to see someone make him so happy.

Surprisingly, he came to care about Blaine as much as any of his other kids. Will knew he had talent, so he was thrilled in that respect when he found out Blaine was transferring to McKinley. However, there was more to Blaine than just his stage charisma. He had the ability to lead a group, but the humility to take the back seat. He was amiable to all his peers, but not afraid to stand up to the inevitable hallway bully with a slushie. He treated everyone as someone worth something.

In no one was this more clear than with Kurt. The pair brought out the best in the other. They challenged each other in glee club, though it was clear that relationship went beyond the classroom. They helped each other grow in countless ways. They respected each other, and that, Will decided, was what truly set them apart.
