As the summer progressed Kurt began to lax his own rules. Kurt never imagined the kinds of boundaries Blaine would cause him to question. It wasn’t that one was changing the other; they were changing with each other. Kurt didn’t know how connected he could feel to Blaine while they were kissing. Many a summer afternoon was spent exploring in Kurt’s bedroom. Blaine was a little bolder than Kurt but he never went further than the latter wanted to go. Blaine quickly found the places that made Kurt melt, and used this to his advantage whenever the two were alone.

Surprisingly, however, Kurt’s favorite kiss was the one Blaine gave him every day as he walked into Glee club. Kurt would already be in his seat, and everyone knew to leave one empty next to him. Blaine would plop his bag on the floor, sink into the chair with a smile, and leave a chaste kiss on Kurt’s cheek. Sure, other kisses made his hormones race more wildly, but none made his heart beat faster. This small sign of affection was something he could count on; it was something to remind everyone that he was Blaine’s and that was it.
