I love you guys 😍 😘
Blaine opened the door to the house and let Kurt in, smiling as he did so. Kurt walked in quietly, setting his bag down next to the door. He paused a few steps away from the entrance and looked around. Blaine closed the door gently behind him and came up next to Kurt.
“So, this is our home,” Blaine said awkwardly. He was glad that Kurt was back home, but he didn't know how weird it would be. He started to take Kurt's coat off, but he pulled out of Blaine's hold.
“It's fine. I'll just,” he looked around until he spotted a door. “Is that the bathroom?” He asked, turning toward Blaine. Blaine stared at Kurt before face palming.
“Oh, yeah. You don't know where everything is. Would you like me to give you a tour?” Blaine asked. Kurt just nodded and picked up his bag.
Blaine showed him through the house, stopping when he saw something that meant a lot to him and Kurt. Kurt just followed with wide eyes, unsure of what to think. When Blaine came up to their bedroom, Blaine leaned against the frame of the door and let Kurt walk around.
“And this is where we sleep,” he looked down before adding dumbly, “obviously.”
Kurt stopped at the dresser where there were pictures of him and Blaine on top. He picked up a picture off of the dresser and studied it. There were at the skating rink. Blaine was kissing the tip of Kurt's nose. Kurt shivered before setting the image down.
“Is it alright if I just settle in… for now?” Kurt asked. Blaine looked up from where he was staring at his hands.
“Of course. Take all the time you need,” Blaine said, rubbing the back of his neck in agitation. He knew he was just going to have to be patient. He wanted Kurt to be comfortable while he stayed there. Kurt nodded before walking out and into the bathroom. Blaine stared after him until the door closed. He waited until Kurt came out to bring him into the kitchen.
“Are you hungry?” Blaine asked when Kurt sat down at the table. Kurt blushed before nodding sheepishly. Blaine grinned at Kurt's modesty and began to whip of the batter to lemon blueberry pancakes.
When Blaine had finished making the pancakes, he set two of them in front of his boyfriend.
“Lemon blueberry? How did you know that I loved lemon blueberry pancakes?” Kurt asked in confusion.
“Kurt, we're boyfriends. I know everything about you,” Blaine smiled before sitting down across from him. Kurt blushed and took a bite, moaning in pleasure when the fluffiness hit in tongue. Blaine smiled at the reaction. Kurt continued eating until he was finished.
Once he was finished, he pushed the plate away from him and sat back. Blaine took the sight in. Kurt had his eyes closed, his demeanor completely relaxed. His face looked so content. Blaine kept staring until Kurt opened his eyes and looked at Blaine. Blaine quickly looked away and cleared his throat, his cheeks lightly tinted pink.
“Um, I'll do the dishes,” Blaine said, picking up the plate and bringing it over to the sink. He turned the water on and began scrubbing the plates. Kurt stood up and came to stand next to him.
“Do you need any help?” Kurt asked, looking a little helpless. Blaine smiled and looked up before shaking his head.
“Not if you don't want to.”
Kurt grabbed a towel and walked to the other side of Blaine, patiently holding the cloth in front of him. Blaine looked to the side of him and smiled.
“I'll dry,” Kurt said. Blaine chuckled slightly. “Okay.”
They did the dishes rather quickly, picking up a routine that had a comfortable speed but was also efficient. Afterward, they stood awkwardly in the kitchen, not knowing what to do. Kurt was looking around the tiny home, taking in the strange atmosphere.
“Did I help decorate?” Kurt asked out of nowhere, looking at Blaine with a confused expression. Blaine quirked his eyebrow, not understanding the question. Kurt noticed his confusion before elaborating.
“The house,” Kurt added. Blaine chuckled.
“Um, yeah. You did actually. I wanted to help you, but you basically took care of everything,” Blaine said, rubbing the back of his neck tiredly. Kurt still looked confused as he scanned the room another time.
Kurt didn't understand. The last thing he remembered about his personality was not the same as present day. Before he woke up in a hospital, he was calm and relaxed. He was safe and he took to living his life safely. When he was in high school, he wanted to get a stable job with a stable salary. His parents convinced him to go to college for lawsuit. He just turned in his application for the best college that taught law days before we woke up in that hospital. He never ever thought about going to NYADA.
Maybe I changed my mind, Kurt thought as he stood dumbly in the kitchen.
Blaine was still looking at Kurt, wondering what was going on in his brain.
“Kurt?” Blaine whispered, trying to get his boyfriend's attention. Kurt seemed to hear him, snapping out of his trance.
“Oh, I'm sorry. I'm just thinking,” Kurt stated, chewing his bottom lip gently. Blaine hated when Kurt did that because it takes every ounce of self-restraint in his body not to just kiss him.
“What about?” Blaine asked casually, not wanting to bring up something Kurt wasn't comfortable with talking about. Kurt didn't respond for a while. Only stood, staring at the floor.
“When you met me, was I this crazy?” Kurt asked. Blaine eyebrows furrowed together.
He doesn't remember… Blaine frowned. He didn't want to ruin everything he had with his parents. He didn't want to be the one who told him. Blaine smiled at Kurt, putting up a fake facade.
“Are you tired?” Blaine asked, trying to avoid the topic for now. Kurt's eyebrows rose. Blaine
knew that Kurt really wanted to know, but he just couldn't tell him.
“Blaine, you didn't answer-”
“I'm tired. I'm just gonna brush my teeth and get ready for bed,” Blaine said, starting to exit the room. “You can take the bed, I'll sleep on the couch if that makes you more comfortable,” Blaine went into the bathroom and shut the door, leaning his forehead against the door.
He couldn't be the one to tell him. Maybe this time things would go right. Blaine brushed his teeth and walked into the living room with a blanket. He stripped himself of his clothes and laid down on couch, pulling the blanket up to his chin. It took him a while to fall asleep, but when he did he was only thinking of one thing.
I can't be the one to tell him...
