“We need to be quick,” Blaine said, pulling out a couple suitcases from his closet.

Kurt nodded, helping Blaine start to empty his closet, packing his clothes into the bags. Downstairs, Kurt could hear Burt talking to the Andersons. He didn’t sound happy, but he’d promised Kurt he’d keep his temper in check, if only to ensure they worked out a arrangement for Blaine to live with the Hudmels.

When they were finished packing Blaine’s clothes, Blaine stopped and looked at his shelves, covered in trophies and books. “I suppose I don’t need all this stuff...” He frowned.

“Blaine, pack whatever you want,” Kurt said, dropping a hand on the small of Blaine’s back. “We can always come back for another trip if we don’t have room.”

“But what will I do with all of it? Pack it into your attic?”

Kurt seemed surprised. “Of course not!” He looked at Blaine for a moment, and he saw something he’d missed. “Blaine, it’s not going to be my room anymore, it’s ours now.” He smiled softly. “I’ve been wanting to redecorate anyway. I have plenty of things that I can get rid of - I want your things with my things.”

“You do?” Blaine looked up at Kurt with wide eyes.

“Of course I do,” Kurt said. “Now tell me what things you’re keeping, and don’t leave anything behind that’s even remotely important.”

“Yes, Kurt,” Blaine replied, smiling wide. He started to pull books off his shelf and hand them to Kurt, leaving behind only his old school books and other items he honestly didn’t care to keep.

“Blaine?” A soft voice came from the doorway.

The two boys turned to look, and found Mrs. Anderson hovering there. Her eyes moved nervously between them.

“Mom?” Blaine asked, reaching instinctively for Kurt.

Blaine suddenly looked so vulnerable. Kurt frowned at the woman and wrapped an arm around Blaine.

“I just...” Mrs. Anderson hesitated for a moment, before continuing. “I’m sorry.” Her voice was soft and sorrowful. “This wasn’t how things were supposed to be.”

Kurt could feel some of the tension leave Blaine’s body as he relaxed into Kurt. “Yeah, I know mom,” he said softly.

“You weren’t supposed to be gay! You should be with a pretty young girl!” She looked at Kurt with obvious dislike. “Not him.” Mrs. Anderson’s face twisted in an odd combination of apology and revulsion.

Kurt could feel Blaine jerk under his arm as if he’d been struck, and Kurt tightened his hold. Kurt wished he could protect Blaine from ever hearing those words again.

“Just go, mom.” Blaine sounded exhausted.

“I just wanted you to know that I’m sorry,” Mrs. Anderson said, backing out of the room and into the hall. “Your father says I made you gay, and he’s probably right.” Tears welled in her eyes. “You’re going to hell and it’s all my fault.”

“Well I forgive you,” Blaine said, standing a little taller. “I’m perfectly happy being gay, in fact, I’ve never been happier in my life. I have a boyfriend who loves me and I wouldn’t give him up for anything.” Blaine seemed to be realizing this as he was saying it. “So if you really think you made me gay, then thank you very much. Now please go.”

Mrs. Anderson shook her head sadly. With one last look at her son, she turned and walked away.

Blaine sank to the bed with a sigh. Kurt quickly closed and locked the door, then crossed the room to sit next to Blaine on the bed.

“I love you,” Kurt said, pulling Blaine into his arms.

Blaine fell into Kurt’s embrace. “I love you, too.”

After a minute Blaine sighed and pulled back from Kurt’s arms. He smiled up at Kurt, and there was only a calm tiredness there.

“OK, let’s finish this packing,” Blaine said. “I want to go home.”

--

“I want to take you out to dinner tonight.”

Blaine smiled at Kurt as they walked through the school parking lot the next morning, clasped hands swinging between them. Blaine’s attitude had been dramatically improved since Kurt had spanked him; he seemed to glow with happiness and confidence. Kurt couldn’t be more pleased.

“I’d like that,” Blaine said. “Although I really do need to get my things organized in your room.”

“I don’t want you doing any work tonight; put off unpacking until tomorrow,” Kurt said. “Tonight is just to celebrate us.”

Blaine opened his mouth to object, then blinked and stopped himself. Kurt could see the moment he remembered. Blaine had promised Kurt he would obey, and that had been an order.

A wide grin spread across Blaine’s face, and there was a new spring in his step. “Yes, Kurt,” he said brightly. “But may I please unpack tomorrow, though? I want to make sure I’m keeping your room tidy.”

“Yes you may, but it’s our room,” Kurt said, pulling Blaine closer and draping an arm across his shoulders. “Our house, our room, our bed. Alright?”

“Yes, Kurt,” Blaine replied. He was almost bouncing on his feet as he walked, and there was an excited gleam in his eye. “So where are we going tonight?”

“It’s a surprise.” Kurt grinned back at Blaine as they walked through the front doors of the school.

“Oh come on, please?” Blaine begged, and now he really was bouncing on his toes. “Please tell me?”

“Jesus, Hummel, will you leash him or something? God that’s annoying.”

The two boys spun around to find Rick approaching from behind. The hallway was still a little quiet; there wasn’t anyone there to back them up. Kurt glared at the boy and pushed Blaine behind him.

“Oh, look at big tough Hummel, getting all protective.” Rick sneered. “Isn’t that cute?”

“Just leave us alone, Rick,” Kurt said, anger radiating from him.

“What are you going to do, Hummel? It’s just the two of us; you don’t have any of your boys to back you up.” Rick made a show of looking over Kurt’s shoulder, pretending not to see Blaine.

--

Blaine was starting to vibrate with energy, but it wasn’t the blinding anger he was used to. It was a calm protective feeling; he wanted to defend Kurt, just as his boyfriend would do for him.

And the way Rick was ignoring him was really insulting.

Rick’s snarky remark was more than he could tolerate. Blaine pushed passed Kurt and shoved Rick with both hands, flat on the other boy’s chest. Rick stumbled back several feet, surprise flashing across his face.

“He’s not alone,” Blaine snapped, standing with his arms crossed in front of Kurt. “So maybe you should think twice before you try something, two against one.”

Rick gaped at Blaine, shocked that he had nearly been knocked off his feet by a boy so much smaller than he was. He looked nervously between the two boys for a moment before he sneered and turned to walk away, muttering about “fucking fags” under his breath.

“Blaine,” Kurt started, reaching for his boyfriend. Before he had time to say anything more he was cut off by Puck.

“What the hell! I swear to god, that asshole, I am going to kick his ass!”

Kurt and Blaine turned to see Finn, Puck and Santana coming the other way down the hall.

“That was awesome, Blaine,” Finn said, grinning. “You should put Rick in his place more often.”

“No, he should not,” Kurt said quickly, grabbing Blaine’s hand in his own. Kurt leaned in to whisper in his ear. “I’m proud of you; just try not to make it a habit.”

“Yes, Kurt,” Blaine replied. His attitude hadn’t been dampened much by their little run in with Rick; he was still bright and smiling as he squeezed Kurt’s hand.

“Yeah, yeah, that’s all great,” Santana said, interrupting everyone. She looked at Kurt. “Can I walk your boy to class? I want to catch up with my favorite munchkin.”

“I’m not a munchkin!”

“Sure,” Kurt said, smiling at Blaine’s irritation. “Walk to class with Santana, I’ll catch you in the hall after first period.”

“Yes, Kurt,” Blaine mouthed silently. He grinned at Kurt, feeling the rush of happiness that came with obeying a request from Kurt. It was exhilarating, and Blaine could not get enough.

Kurt dropped Blaine’s hand, and Blaine moved to follow Santana down the hall.

The two of them walked in silence for a moment before Santana spoke up.

“So…how are you and Kurt?” Santana asked as they walked. “Are you two doing OK?”

“We’re doing great,” Blaine said honestly, surprised that Santana was asking.

“He’s treating you well? Being fair and safe?” Santana prodded, looking at Blaine intently.

“Of course he is,” Blaine replied, shocked that Santana would have any reason to doubt Kurt. “Why would you think he wouldn’t?”

“Well, some Doms get a little carried away. Especially young and untrained Doms, like Kurt.” Santana put a hand on Blaine’s arm. “And sometimes inexperience subs like yourself don’t know any better. I just want to be sure.”

“Wait... what?” Blaine frowned at her. “What’s a sub?”

“A sub,” Santana said. “A submissive?”

“What are you talking about, Santana?” Blaine asked, looking at Santana as if she were crazy.

Santana gave Blaine a confused look, then her eyes went wide. “You mean you don’t know about BDSM? But, you and Kurt! You guys are in a D/s relationship.”

Blaine gaped at her. “D/s?”

“Oh, Mijo...” She took his arm as they walked into their first period classroom. “You still have so much to learn.”

If he were asked, Blaine wouldn’t be able to tell you what had been taught that morning in his Calculus class. He had been far too preoccupied. First listening to Santana before class started, then passing notes with her, then discretely searching for more information on his phone.

By the time class was over, Blaine’s mind was full of more information than he knew how to process. There was a whole community of people in relationships like his own. There were websites, and clubs, and some really intimidating looking sex stuff.

Although Blaine could admit to himself that he was more than a little curious about the sex stuff.

And there were titles, and definitions, and an entire vocabulary of words to actually describe the things he had been feeling for weeks.

At the end of the class period Blaine walked out of his Calc class and found Kurt waiting for him. Kurt smiled and took Blaine’s hand, starting to lead him down the hall, and he exuded the calm dominance that Blaine loved so much.

Kurt was Blaine’s Dom.

And Blaine was Kurt’s sub. At least, if Kurt wanted to define their relationship that way. But Blaine hoped that he would, because finally having something he could put his finger on was such a relief. BDSM was an actual thing, Blaine could point to it and say “That is what I want with Kurt.”

“How was first period?” Kurt asked, looking at Blaine curiously.

“Informative,” Blaine said, looking up at Kurt with newly appreciative eyes. “I learned a lot.”

“You did?” Kurt smiled at Blaine.

“Yeah.” Blaine nodded, returning Kurt’s smile. He had full trust in Kurt, he wasn’t worried about sharing this with him. He bounced a little on his feet as he walked. “I’ll tell you all about it over dinner.”

Awww I loved this fic! You probably guessed that already ;DI just wanted to ask, if you could update here as well when you upload the sequel? It would be easier to follow :)Thank you for sharing your talent! xoxo

Thank you so much for commenting all the way through! :) Yes, I'll be updating here as well from now on.

This was great. The build up and how the relationship progressed was so believable and didn't looked rushed at all. I loved how the story took some canon aspects, like the Glee jocks being popular/unpopular at the same time. I loved the bromance between Puck, Finn and Kurt. Santana/Blaine friendship is love! I can't wait for the sequel! :)
