"Did I ever tell you how much I hate camping?" Kurt said as he sat on top of his suitcase watching Blaine and Liza put up the tent.
"I think you mentioned it once or twice." Blaine gasped out as he tried to force one of the poles in its designated slot.
"Say Dad, do you think maybe you could give us a hand?" Kurt looked up at his daughter as she threw a pole down in frustration. He cocked his eyebrow and starred at her.
"Manual labour? You actually want me to put up a tent? Blaine!" Blaine turned to see that Kurt was waiting for him to back him up.
"Usually Kurt I would back you up but this is suppose to be bonding time."
"But I don't wanna." Kurt pouted and crossed his arms
"Come on." Blaine smiled and put his hands out for Kurt to grab so he could help him up. When Kurt got to his feet however the didn't let go of each others hands and he let Blaine drag him to the part of the tent that needed putting up. Neither of them noticed their daughter smiling at them, she just knew this weekend was going to be fun. "And just think the faster we get this done the faster we can sing. I brought my guitar." Blaine said singing the last comment.
Two hours later the sun was setting. The tent was up and they had just finished dinner. And after this mornings events and the struggle with the tent they were all too tired to try and light a fire, so the three of them sat around a few battery operated lanterns Blaine had packed. Blaine had his guitar in hand and was about to sing a song he had been practising for a while but never thought he'd get a chance to sing it. He began strumming the first few chords before he let his voice fill the camp site.
So lately, I've been wonderin
Who will be there to take my place
When I'm gone, you'll need love
To light the shadows on your face
If a great wave should fall
It would fall upon us all
And between the sand and stone
Could you make it on your own
If I could, then I would
I'll go wherever you will go
Way up high or down low
I'll go wherever you will go
Blaine looked at Kurt who had a single tear falling down his cheek. He wanted for Kurt to know this song was for him and that he never stopped loving him, he knew he couldn't just tell his husband that, but knowing Kurt was feeling something through this song was enough for Blaine to carry on.
And maybe, I'll find out
The way to make it back someday
To watch you, to guide you
Through the darkest of your days
If a great wave should fall
It would fall upon us all
Well I hope there's someone out there
Who can bring me back to you
Runaway with my heart
Runaway with my hope
Runaway with my love
I know now, just quite how
My life and love might still go on
In your heart and your mind
I'll stay with you for all of time
If I could turn back time
I'll go wherever you will go
If I could make you mine
I'll go wherever you will go
When Blaine had finished he looked at Kurt who was wiping tears off of his face and sent him a knowing smile. Liza took this as her cue to leave, she wanted the two of them to talk as much as they could so there could be at least a small chance it would out.
"I'm going to go to sleep now. Night guys." She kissed them both on the cheek and made her way to the tent. So things wouldn't be awkward they had agreed that Liza should sleep in the middle of the two of them, but she had other plans.
Blaine and Kurt just sat in silence.
"Maybe we should crash too, it getting late?" Kurt suggested.
"I was actually hoping we could talk."
"About what?" Kurt looked up at his husband with confusion, what on earth would he want to talk to Kurt about, unless its Liza related.
"Adam."
"Oh. Listen Blaine I'm not really in the mood to talk about that right now."
"Kurt? Did he hurt you?"
"No..Yes...I don't know! Okay he just got aggressive If I didn't do things for him or if I did things against him."
"What do you mean?"
"Like if I took Liza's side over his or I didn't cook dinner, or if I didn't-" Kurt froze, he didn't want Blaine knowing about his sex life with Adam, it just made things ten times more awkward.
"If you didn't...?" Blaine wasn't going to let this go.
"If I didn't have sex with him." Kurt felt himself blushing. He felt like he was in school again, when his Dad had given him the 'sex talk' he still remembers those very, maybe even too, descriptive pamphlets. Blaine stood and walked over to where Kurt was sitting and sat next to him.
"Kurt he didn't...I mean Adam he didn't...did he force himself on you at all?" Blaine didn't even want to ask that question but he knew when Kurt was hiding something.
"No he never forced himself onto me. I just sometimes...he would want to when I wasn't in the mood and he told me that I was going to do it and I complied."
"Kurt, why are you letting yourself believe that this isn't a big deal." Blaine couldn't believe what he was hearing, this was his Kurt, his precious Kurt who thought It was okay to be pressured into being intimate.
"I'm not I know it was bad, but you're making it sound worse than it was. Please Blaine can we just forget about him? I'm here with you and Liza and that's all I care about. Please?"
"Fine but this isn't over Kurt."
"Okay I understand, can we go to bed now?" Blaine nodded and as they unzipped the tent entrance they saw Liza lying there right next to the wall of the tent, so there was no room for one on each side and they would have to sleep next to each other.
"She did this on purpose didn't she?" Kurt asked turning to Blaine.
"I wouldn't put it past the little Brutus."They both starred down at their sleeping daughter, who was somehow sleeping with a sly grin on her face.
