Author's Notes: A/N: Hey, guys! I don't know how often I will be posting, but hopefully soon enough! This is my first fanfiction I have written and I will keep it up if I get reviews and comments! Lots of love!

Prologue

Wind. That's all that was heard from the inside of the Hummel - Hudson household and not a sound left the old, mysterious house. The house had shattered windows, creaky floorboards, the light fuse was blown out, and nobody lived in the house to this day. Rumors spread that a boy, about seventeen years old, lived in the house since He was thirteen. The house was claimed to be 'haunted'.

The house had been burned down in a tragic event that one of the household members, Finn Hudson, I believe, were playing a marathon round of Halo and forgot about the candle He had lit before drifting off to a heavy sleep. Everyone was sound a sleep. Everyone besides a curious Kurt Hummel that roamed the corridors late at night.

Before He had the chance to warn his stepbrother and parents, the fire had spread and gulped almost everyone in the house. Everyone except that one Kurt Hummel.

He escaped out of the windows and ran to the woods as fast as he could. He ran far enough so He couldn't see the flaming house through the thick, dark trees and collapsed to the ground. He wept to think of his family, gone, and He didn't for a thing about it. Why did Finn have to leave that stupid candle lit? He cried himself asleep on the ground, hoping his newest PJ's wouldn't be ruined by morning.

He woke up at the crack of the dawn, the sun setting just above the ground . Kurt stood up, brushing the crumpled leaves off of him. He realized what had happened and the pain shot in his head. He slowly stumbled towards the house. Kurt took a look at the damaged house. It wasn't too burnt so he'd thought it would be stable enough to live in.

So Kurt was doing what He could to make the inside of the house look better than before. He was miserable, to be honest, and He couldn't do a thing about it. He didn't have another soul to live or love with and if He ever did, it would be a crush or attraction to a guy passing by his house. He lived there for almost six years, missing his middle school years, and reported dead, as the town knew his name.

Until one day, He spotted someone who maybe turn his life around. Kurt looked out of the window to find a man about his age, attractive but yet, special, and He felt something He hadn't felt in years. What was it? Happi-. No. Kurt doesn't or can't feel happiness... Or can he?
