Chapter 9

Blaine thought riding in an ambulance would be fun; turns out he was wrong. He sat back crying as people frantically tried to wake up his boyfriend, and the worst part was he could do squat to help him. He wish he could help but, he had to sit back and pray that everything would be ok. 

Hours and hours and hours later...Blaine was crying into Carole's arms as Burt was pacing the floor of the waiting room. No one had a dry eye. Blaine sniffled and cried in till it physically hurt.  He wish he could switch places with Kurt. It was so unfair! No one deserved this, especially him...

A tall/slim man in a white lab coat came up to them holding a purple clip board. "Hummel?" He question receiving several eager nods. He sat down beside them and let out a loud sigh. "I have good news and Bad news..." He put bluntly. "I always think of it as the glass is half full then half empty so we'll start with the good news...Kurt had a tonic-clonic seizure, also known as grand mal seizure."

"I-Is he ok?" Blaine choked out rubbing the track of tears running down his face. 

"Yep, fine. For now."

Blaine stomach flipped. Now? What did he mean by now? "Now?"

The doctor smiled somberly. "Yes, you see the seizure was life threating leaving him comatose-"

"But he wasn't doing anything before hand!" Blaine sobbed which Carole wrapped a soothing arm around him.

"You can't control it, son. Anyway what I meant by now was...he will eventually die from it." He said sympathetically. 

Blaine sobbed hard into Carole's chest as Burt rubbed his back. "Eventually?" Burt struggled. 

"He has two months tops. There is however a surgery that we can preform that can save his life. It is very risky though."

"What is the percentages?" Carole cried. 

"50/50."

The family looked at each other knowing what they had to do.
