Chapter 16

Today was the day! Blaine Anderson was graduating...To say the least he was nervous.

Blaine's leg was shaking rapidly in the car banging against Kurt's leg as he stared out the window. He was feeling quite emotional since he would have to say goodbye to the school that he loved so much. Sure, William mckinley wasn't by any means glamorous. But, he had the best high school experience that anyone could ever have. He knew it would be sad saying goodbye to the younger glee kids who he'd be leaving behind. Oh gosh and even worse! Mr Shue and mrs Pillsbury?! he will surely cry.

Kurt seemed to notice Blaine's odd behavior and sat his hand on his thigh making his leg stop shaking.

Blaine's tense eyes melted as Kurt looked at him. "I'm sorry I'm just nervous. You know?"

Kurt gave him a sad smile. "I do know."

Tears began to well out of Blaine eyes he tried to laugh it off but, Kurt saw.

"Honey, it's ok to be sad sometimes. I get sad all the time!"

Blaine chuckled at Kurt's cute comment. "I know sweetheart ; I know it's just, I don't like being sad around you."

Kurt furrowed an eyebrow. "Why?"

Blaine let out a long sigh before answering. "Because I want to be happy for you. I don't want you to see me sad because you don't deserve to see this after all you've been threw. I'm suppose to make you happy! But sometimes I can't and i'm sorry, kurt." Blaine said whipping his tears with a tissue he found.

Kurt was shocked by his answer. "Is that what you really think? That you have to be happy for me all the time like a clown?" Kurt pulled him into a hug rubbing his back. "I don't expect that from you. It's not your fault what happened to me on that night so stop acting like it is."

"I'm not-"

"Blaine." Kurt said in disbelief. "You do. I know you do because every time someone even motions a crash you have this sad, blank stare on your face."

Blaine hugged him tighter letting out a sob. "I just feel like if I didn't ask you to come over that night that it never would have happened. It IS my fault and I'm so sorry Kurt."

"Stop it! Just stop it!" Kurt tilted his chin up to make eye contact with him. "It. is. not. your. fault. Ok? It's not. If anything, it's my fault. I should have known that I couldn't drive in that kind of weather. You don't have to put on an act for me. I am your fiancé! I don't expect you to be happy all the time. Your human."

Blaine sniffled into Kurt's neck. It felt good to get that out.

"I know graduations a big deal, sweetie. I've been there. It hard to say goodbye to people you grew up with. It's ok to cry. It's hard." Kurt cooed.

"I just don't want to grow up. I want to stay in high school forever."

"I know honey but, this isn't High School Musical."

Blaine laughed giving him a hug. "Thank you."

"Anytime." Kurt smiled. "Now lets go get that diploma!"

"Blaine Anderson."

"Whoo! That's my boyfriend!" Kurt cheered making the audience laugh. "Love you!"

Burt smiled and cheered too. "Go Blaine!"

Blaine smiled switching his tassel. This was it! All that bullying and harassment was a sweet screw you because Blaine Anderson was heading to New York and going to one of the most famous performing arts school ever. His life was finally falling into place!
