Chapter 13


Kurt was released from the hospital a week ago and back to being bubbly and fun. Kurt insisted Blaine take him on a date to the park when he got out and that's what they did. 

Kurt climbed to the top of his big tree and sat down taking in the view of the forest. He always claimed the tree ever since he was a little boy. He used to sit up there thinking about anything for hours. He was a very shy child.

Now it was Kurt and Blaine's tree. Blaine had carved a heart that had "K+B=love" on to a thick branch were they could see it every time they sat on it. The tree meant the world to kurt. So many memories were here. They had some steamy make out sessions before the accident that Kurt couldn't remember but Blaine sure did...

He missed the park while he was stuck in a hospital bed. There wasn't much to do while you were restricted to a bed all day.

"Room for one more?" Blaine asked sitting next to him.

Kurt gave Blaine a loving look. "For you always." 

Kurt and Blaine fell into a comfortable silence. Kurt rested his head on Blaine shoulder as their hands were laced together. 

"Hey sweetheart?"

"Hum?"

"We've been through a lot this pass year."

Kurt chuckled. "I'd say."

"I just want to let you know that threw thick and thin I'm here for you. When you need someone to talk to or help you, I will be there no matter what time of the day it is or whatever I'm doing." Blaine whipped his sweaty hands on his red skinny jeans. "We've shared so many memories here, which is why I'm making one more." 

Kurt gasped as Blaine showed him a little velvet box.

"I want to marry you. I want to tell everyone that Kurt Hummel is my husband and that he's all mine. I wanna be there in the morning to listen to your heart beat and tell you how beautiful you are and how proud I am to be your husband. You are my soul mate Kurt and not getting married just seems so silly because I know your the one."

Kurt whipped his tears with his sleeve. "I-I just want you to think long and hard about this. Are you sure I'm not pulling you down?"

"No-"

"Blaine." Kurt cut off. "I can't read, I can't write, majority of the time I act like a five year old; You deserve so much better then me."

"None of that matters to me!" Blaine scorned softly. "Do you understand me? None of it. I love YOU. I want to grow old and wrinkly with you. I want to buy a home with you. I want to come home every night and sleep with you. I want everything with you..." Blaine caressed Kurt's cheek whipping a few stray tears flowing down his face. "You don't pull me down honey. You don't. If anything you pull me up. You inspire me not to be so serious and have fun."

Kurt sobbed into Blaine's neck wrapping his arms around his neck. 

Blaine just rubbed his back humming and swaying back and forth.

"Yes." Kurt answered finally.

"Wait what?"

"Yes I will marry you."

"Yes?" Blaine said breaking into a huge grin.

"Yeah." Kurt laughed.

Blaine fumbled for the ring slipping it on to his finger. "It fits perfectly." He grinned. 

Kurt then pressed a passionate kiss to his lips as the sun went down. He kept repeating Kurt Hummel-Anderson in his head.
