People often make the mistake of taking their first impression of him and making it stick. Sebastian made that mistake. Sue Sylvester has made that mistake. But Kurt is so much more than anyone could ever imagine. Even I haven’t learned all there is to him, but I’m getting closer each day.
Sometimes it’s the things he says and the way he says them. He could be all banter and playful quips one day and the next be totally serene and calm like his main goal is harmony with the universe.
Sometimes it’s the things he does that throw me. When I expect him to react one way, he reacts completely differently. When I expect him to do something he does it better. When I don’t expect anything from him, he completely surprises me.
Kurt is so many shades of human and I love him for it.
But what I love the most about him is that I’m never unsure of where I stand with him. I’m never unsure of what I mean to him. There were a few issues, but they’re so far in the past that they’re not even worth revisiting. Even in the midst of our most heated arguments, he reminds me of what I mean to him.
I’m not leaving, Blaine. You’re talking to the guy who was in love with you the moment they saw you and who waited months for something they only dreamed could happen. Sorry, but you’re stuck with me for life, because I’m not going anywhere.
I guess when you really think about it, Kurt isn’t that complicated at all.
It’s pretty simple actually - he’s mine.
And I’m his. Completely.
