Kurt took the two hour drive to Westerville as a chance to think things through in his mind. He would have to tell Blaine right away about Adam as he didn't want to get his hopes up, his dad said it was perfectly okay for Blaine to stay at Kurt's house for as long as he needed, so Kurt would tell him that too. He also realized in the car drive that he was angry with Blaine, but he wasn't going to make that too obvious just yet, Blaine didn't need anything but love and support at the moment. Kurt was very adamant that Blaine and Adam would become friends, he definitely did not want those two as enemies.
When he pulled down Sander Avenue, where Blaine's father lived, he saw Blaine straight away. He was as beautiful and hot as ever, even from the foggy car window Kurt could see Blaine's beautiful hazel eyes. Oh god, Kurt had forgotten how perfect Blaine was, he wondered how he could have ever broken up with him. Blaine's face was still slightly tear stained but god, he still looked fucking fantastic. Kurt could tell by the way his beautiful face lit up when he saw Kurt's car, that he knew it was Kurt. He pulled over at the side of the road and Blaine opened the door and hopped in the passenger seat.
"Hi," Blaine said breathily looking right into Kurt's blue eyes. God his voice sounded so much better when he wasn't crying or over the phone.
"Hi Blaine," Kurt said smiling despite the situation.
"Thankyou so much," Blaine said leaning over to Kurt's seat and hugging him tightly, Kurt gripped on tightly back, he felt like if he let go of this boy he would fall into a pit of darkness and never feel happy again. But unfortunately Blaine let go, and Kurt was snapped back into reality, Adam.
"We need to talk," Kurt told him as he started up the car and drove away from Sander Avenue.
"Agreed," Blaine replied.
"Tell me about you first and your family," Kurt said interested in how Blaine's life had turned out.
"Well my mom still lives in Nevada with Cooper and Charlotte-" Cooper and Charlotte Anderson were Blaine's older brother and younger sister. "-she recently got married to a man named Harrison, I just visited them in Nevada for their wedding. They wanted to know if I wanted to move in with them again, but I told them just like before, I'm not moving until I have finished Dalton. Anyway Harry is my step-dad now and my mother is pregnant with my little half sister. Nothing much has happened on my dads side, he occasionally brings woman home but I reckon it's just a one night stand sort of thing. He told me tonight that he never wants to see my face again."
"Blaine I'm so sorry," Kurt said sadly. "But congrats on your half sister and your moms wedding."
"Yeah, thanks," Blaine said looking at the ground awkwardly.
"it's amazing how much you miss in a year isn't it?" Kurt said stiffly before he could stop himself.
"Kurt I'm so sorry, I was just so upset I couldn't bare to hear you let alone see your face," Blaine started apologetically.
"Well what do you thinks going to happen to us now?" Kurt asked wondering just what Blaine thought.
"Maybe we could get back together, I mean you said we would when I come out," Blaine said hopefully, so he hadn't forgotten about that last night.
"I- Blaine when I said that, I wasn't expecting you to ignore me for a year, I thought you had left me forever. I-I have a boyfriend Blaine," Kurt said slowly and shakily scared of Blaine's reaction.
Kurt saw out of the corner of his eye Blaine immediately go rigid.
"Who?" Blaine asked quietly.
"You don't know him, his names Adam and he goes to my school," Kurt mumbled.
"The only thing that got me through coming out to my father was thinking that there was a possibility of being with you again," Blaine said stiffly.
"I know Blaine, you are so brave, I'm so proud of you but you really expected us to get back together? Do you think anything can go back to the way it was?" Kurt asked angrily.
"I just thought you'd love me and we could be happy again," Blaine murmured.
"I do love you Blaine, but as a friend, you are going to stay at my house as long as you need too and maybe even come to McKinley?"
"I can't imagine my father continuing to pay my Dalton fee so yes I guess I will have too. I'll meet this jerk Adam won't I?"
"I really want you two to get along, please try, please try at least for me Blaine,"
"Okay, I will try for you Kurt,"
"Good."
The next half an hour of the car ride passed in silence and before Kurt knew it they were at home. It was quite late but he could see through the window that his dad and Carole were still awake presumably waiting for Blaine.
"Stop Kurt," Blaine said as Kurt almost opened the front door.
"Do they hate me?" Blaine asked.
"What? Why?"
"Because I ignored you," Blaine said as though it was very obvious.
"No, they don't hate you, just don't worry Blaine," Kurt said and opened the front door.
"Hey dad, hi Carole," Kurt said as he walked into them sitting on the couch in the lounge.
"Hi Kurt, hi Blaine," Burt said looking past Kurt and at Blaine.
"Hello Burt and Carole, how are you?" Blaine asked nervously.
"Good thanks, we haven't seen you in awhile, is everything okay?" Carole said smiling warmly at him.
"Well I think Kurt told you but I came out to my father tonight," Blaine said feeling very uncomfortable.
"Yes he did tell us, I hope you are okay Blaine, we set up a bed for you on the couch," Carole said pointing to the other couch that had a couple of pillows and a blanket.
"Thankyou so much guys, it means a lot," Blaine said smiling happily at the little bed they had set up for him.
"We put some of Finn's clothes downstairs in Kurt's room for you, so you can go get ready down there," Carole told him pointing to the door which Blaine knew led to Kurt's bedroom basement.
Kurt took Blaine's hand and led him through the door and down the stairs to his room. God, it had been a while since Blaine had been in Kurt's room.
Kurt watched Blaine take everything in, then he saw Blaine's eyes settle on one thing. He turned around to see what it was, a photo of Kurt and Adam. That photo was taken on prom night and they were both in suits.
"So that's Adam?" Blaine asked awkwardly.
"Um yeah..." Kurt said sitting down on his bed. Blaine looked at the clothes Burt and Carole had set out for him. PJs for him and an outfit for tomorrow.
"I'll let you get changed," Kurt said getting off his bed.
"Oh I don't mind, it's not like I have anything to hide," Blaine grinned and starting stripping off, he was left in only his boxers and Kurt was blushing like crazy.
"Blaine! What the hell?" Kurt asked angrily.
"What?" Blaine asked innocently slowly taking off his boxers. Kurt covered his eyes, and backed away trying to find the bathroom.
"If you don't put on your clothes I will throw you out of my house Blaine," Kurt angrily hissed as he bumped into his desk. Blaine just laughed at this. "I mean it."
"Okay okay, I have pants on you can open your eyes," Blaine laughed. Kurt opened his eyes and sure enough Blaine was in his PJs.
"GodBlaine, your so annoying sometimes,"
"But I bet I'm better in bed than Adam, yeah?" Blaine grinned nudging Kurt. Kurt blushed at this.
"I wouldn't know," Kurt growled feeling extremely annoyed.
"You haven't had sex yet?" Blaine asked incredulously.
"Just shut up," Kurt said as he pulled out his silky PJs from his walk in wardrobe. Blaine giggled and left Kurt's room.
Kurt changed into his pajamas and grabbed his phone to call Adam. Apparently he had 3 missed calls from Adam. Oh shit. Kurt called him as fast as he could.
"Hello?" Adam said sounding annoyed.
"Hey it's me," Kurt said trying to sound innocent.
"I called you,"
"I know, I can't have heard my phone,"
"So how's Blaine?" Adam asked changing the subject though still sounding annoyed.
"Good, he's probably starting McKinely tomorrow," Kurt said trying to sound nice, he really didn't want to get into a fight with Adam.
"Oh god do I have to meet him?" Adam asked sounding worried.
"Yes Adam, it's not that bad, I want you two to get along okay?"
"Okay, I got to go sorry,"
"Okay Adam, I love you,"
"I love you too," Adam said then hung up the phone. Kurt smiled then turned around to see Blaine standing in the door way with watery eyes.
"Blaine are you okay?" Kurt asked.
"I just, I just can't believe you really love someone else," Blaine sobbed.
"Blaine, if you hadn't ignored-"
"I know!" Blaine yelled loudly.
"Please don't get mad," Kurt said feeling angry at Blaine's sudden yell.
"Do you think that if I could go back in time I wouldn't? Do you have any idea how much I regret it?"
"Blaine I know, just go to sleep, I'm tired, your tired, we'll talk in the morning,"
"Okay Kurt," Blaine said slowly rubbing his eyes and yawning. Then he left Kurt's room and started up the stairs.
Kurt tucked himself into bed. He was not ready for Adam and Blaine to meet tomorrow, he was scared Blaine would yell at Adam or Adam would hate Blaine and ignore him. Kurt knew Blaine had an anger problem, and he did notwant Blaine to take it all out on Adam.
