Angus, Clarice and Blaine’s parents were still at the apartment waiting for news because Elizabeth had just disappeared then Blaine went leaving just the older adults in the apartment with Mr Ripley.  “Well they certainly got the hang of translocation now haven’t they” Mr Ripley said aloud to the remainder of the group then continued “I had best go anyway school things to do” then he left the four remaining adults alone with their own thoughts and council.

Richard turned to Angus and said “I think that Blaine has developed a stubborn streak and this has past to his daughter” laughing lightly “Must get that from the Grandparents I blame them” to which Maria playfully smacked Richards arm saying “Speak for yourself I was always the Goody-good Guardian Angel” laughing along as Richard raised his eyebrows.

The four held light conversation until the others returned because that was all they could do then the three were back and Kurt sat down in an empty chair looking at Blaine and Elizabeth Saying “Gawd I feel so dirty, do they leave this trace upon you I feel like I need to scrub myself raw from that battle”.

The other Four looked over with concerned faces then Elizabeth said “Don’t worry Kurt was more than able to defeat them, in fact we discovered an important information to why the ‘Void’ so wanted these two.” Pointing at her parents again, continuing “We have discovered a secret that will stun and please you all”

Blaine looked over to Kurt and kissed his cheek saying “You tell them I’ll make coffee” smiling as Kurt kissed him back as thanks for the caffeine and cleared his throat. “Why don’t I start with when Coop and I left okay” seeing nods from the others and Kurt then related his story, and then the discovery that Elizabeth found out pausing, as Blaine re-entered the room with beverages placing them on to the coffee table for everyone to help themselves.  Blaine settled him-self next to Kurt and handed him a coffee, then awaited Kurt to resume his conversation with the others in the room.

Kurt took a sip of coffee then looked at the others “We discovered that Blaine and I are to become a bit more powerful than we thought. In fact we are turning into Gods ourselves”

Shocked shouts greeted that announcement by Kurt as he, Blaine and Elizabeth looked on as the other four adults rose up from their seats gesturing about the discovery.  Angus said “We must hold an emergency council with ALL members’ that must include the Chancellor and his group.  Everyone needs to be informed of this development” 

Kurt raised his hand and asked “Why they really don’t need to be told of this, we thought that only you needed to be told, as a courtesy, as we are still not quite sure of the OOD’s side they are playing on”

Angus looked concerned then and Clarice said “You have doubts over their loyalty to you both and wonder if they are now agents of the ‘Void’” Kurt and Blaine nodded their heads and turned to see Elizabeth deep in thought then seemingly going somewhere else then back again.  “Lizzie what did you do then” Blaine asked her and she blushed at being caught, but replied “I listened in to what the Chancellor was saying at the old OOD headquarters and I think we have to be careful, I’m not saying that we cannot trust him but there may be others that have infiltrated that order.”

This gave the others food for thought, then Richard came across the room and knelt down in front of Kurt and Blaine, who looked back a bit apprehensive at him.  Then he leant forward embracing both his youngest son and his partner Kurt in a heartfelt hug.  Richard kissed Blaine on the side of his head saying “Son, What you have done today is beyond our capability to absorb.  You both have given us a gift of our first grandchild and we now discover that not only is she a goddess but you two will become gods in our fight against this foe.  You are very precious to me even more so as I now see my family increase and that makes a man proud.  Kurt, I need to apologise to you over my actions these last couple of days and I ask for your forgiveness too Blaine.”

Blaine and Kurt were shocked then embraced Richard back into a tight hug, Blaine hugging his Dad a little bit longer to let him know that everything was now okay.

A knock was heard at the front door and Elizabeth answered it seeing that it was Mercedes and Mr Fredericks outside.  Mercedes smiled and said “Hi Elizabeth this is our teacher Mr Fredericks, he was told to come up to the apartment by the dean.”  Elizabeth smiled back and allowed them to enter the room.  Mercedes saw Kurt a waved her fingers at him and Blaine then went to sit in one of the few remaining chairs in the room.  Mr Fredericks nodded to the others and smiled going over to Blaine and Kurt saying “Congratulations gentlemen, not only have you thrown out the books and theories on ‘Supernatural’ types but now Miss Appleby has requested that she be given access to you both for further teaching and research to encompass your delightful addition” smiling as he regarded Elizabeth.  Blaine raised his eyebrows and Kurt shrugged his shoulders saying “Well we are kind of ‘Unique’ Blaine if you think about it.” Blaine looked at Kurt and replied “I suppose as it isn’t every day that men have goddess’s” laughing at Kurt as he pulled a face.

Mr Fredericks said “Well you too have missed most of the days lectures but something tells me that you two are now far beyond what I can teach you.  I can’t place my finger on it but the power you are both emanating is above what we initially sorted you into. You both …..” breaking off that conversation with his eyes going wide with a thought of discovery and the boys just smiled then Blaine said “We found out why the ‘Void’ wanted Kurt, then me so much it would appear we are transcending in beings of power and might.” Kurt poked Blaine in his ribs seeing the confused looks on Mr Fredericks and Mercedes faces “What Blaine is trying to tell you both that we are in fact turning into Gods”.

Mr Fredericks went white with that announcement and needed to sit down from the shock, then ‘Cedes came over to the boys and said “Wow Boo you just know how to up the Diva” laughing as she hugged the boys and went back to her seat.  Mr Fredericks had gotten over the initial shock and thought aloud “I think we need to inform the faculty to give you both the speeded up version of our most advanced classes, Mr Ripley needs to be informed about this immediately too.”  He got up to go to the dean but was stopped suddenly by Elizabeth who looked deeply into Mr Fredericks eyes then she reached him and he screamed in pain collapsing into a heap at the goddess’s feet. Everyone else was in shock but Clarice recovered first and checked on the unconscious body of the teacher.  He was breathing but out of it, Kurt asked his daughter “Why did you do that to Mr Fredericks’ sweetheart” Elizabeth turned and stated “He was infected by the ‘Void’.

“Mr Fredericks was an agent of the ‘Void’ how he’s been here like since the Dean?” Blaine said Elizabeth looked at her Daddie then answered “He was obviously infected after as to the how is worth investigating further.  They have a mole inside the faculty and they are infecting the other members subtly to fight against you when they attack”.  Blaine sat back on the chair he was sharing with Kurt and spoke again saying “Well how do we go about that then?” asking the others in general.

Elizabeth just smiled and said “Oh I think a very special ‘Honorary’ Warbler will be able to help you there.  ‘Cedes how about belting out a song backed by the Warblers, this will enable you to show everyone your true power”

‘Cedes just smiled and thought of the song she wanted to sing with the Warblers, and looked over to Kurt then Blaine asking them if it would be okay for her to sing ‘End of time’ featuring Beyoncé, her favourite single at that moment.  It would be perfect for her and the Warblers to show case their talents to the Faculty and the rest of the school.

Blaine started to text Wes to come up to the apartment as soon as he was free to announce that there was to be a one off concert featuring Mercedes and the Warblers tonight. Within five seconds after Blaine had sent the text he had three texts back asking if he was crazy what with sectionals coming up soon now of all things letting one of the better singers of New Directions get a scoop on the competition. Blaine laughed and said out loud “Oh boy this is going to be fun expect an invasion of the Warbler kind soon.  They are not sure about this what with Mercedes being part of the competition for the sectionals.”

“Oh I’d forgotten about that” said Mercedes “Rachel is always going on about it but we tune out when she starts” laughing at Blaine’s face and Kurt laughed along with her remembering what it was like.

Maria and Richard looked at Angus and Clarice saying “I think we need to go then and leave the youngsters to sort this out between them and we shall get the council ready to help with any further invasions or infections of the ‘Void’” after they hugged everyone Maria and Richard vanished.  Clarice said she would stay and oversee things here and Angus said his goodbyes before disappearing too.

Ten minutes later there was a knock on the door, then another and another Kurt got up and opened the door to flustered looking Wes, David and most of the Warblers.

“What the hell is this Blaine” Wes demanded before he noticed Mercedes, Clarice and then Elizabeth sitting together on one of the settees.  Blaine just sighed then said to the guys “Come on in and sit down” they did where there was room then when everyone was in the room Kurt shut the door and sealed the room magically.  The other DG’s and Specials noticed this and became very alert at what Blaine and Kurt were to talk to them about.

“We had to get you here to talk but first everyone this our daughter Elizabeth” as Kurt introduced his and Blaine’s daughter to the rest of the Warblers, there were a few gasps, then giggles, then some ’pay up’ said in the background. 

Elizabeth said “Hello everyone as Dad has said I’m their daughter but as you can guess I’m special too” Looking for guidance as some warblers didn’t know what a ‘Special’ was and assumed that it was that the students were gifted genii.  Blaine said to some of the others that were normal “Hey guys can you give me a hand in the kitchenette for some more coffee’s but gather the empties for me as well” he was the last to go and winked at Elizabeth to continue and then he erected a magical barrier to stop any overhearing by the ‘normals’.

Elizabeth then turned around and asked everyone to look her in the eyes they did so and then she allowed her power to check that they hadn’t been compromised or infected by the ‘Void’.  Elizabeth smiled and nodded to Kurt to carry on, Kurt then told the warblers quickly what had happened that day leaving out the attack on Nick as Jeff was there and then told them about Mr Fredericks who had been removed to the bedroom to recover.

The guys sat back and looked at Kurt, then Mercedes then Elizabeth too shocked at what they had heard but Blaine had given everyone the heads up that they were coming back in with fresh coffee’s and Kurt dismissed the barrier. 

Blaine entered first then the others followed after, asking some of the others what they had missed, but Elizabeth spoke a single word and they froze then she looked at each one remaining on the last person.  Thad, a freshman and only recently accepted into the Warblers, but she held his gaze and said “This one has been infected too” then gestured for him to leave the apartment and go back to his room knowing that the Warblers were to rehearse later that evening.

When he had left, Kurt asked Elizabeth “Why did you allow him to leave without doing the same thing you did to Mr Fredericks?” Elizabeth answered, “Dad if I did the same thing then the others would know we were onto them this way they are still unaware”.

Today was a new day and things were moving to a conclusion to eradicate all ‘Void’ infestations from Dalton Academy.  Blaine and Kurt were having a little lie-in when they heard a tentative cough and a gentle knock on their bedroom doorway.  Blaine opened one eye and looked grumbling about not letting decent people have a lie-in, he saw his daughter with two large cups of Lima Bean coffee and muffins. Blaine smiled and beckoned his daughter in and he gently kissed Kurt to wakefulness and he said “Kurt Lizzie has brought you your favourite coffee and muffin” Kurt stretched without opening his eyes and said “I love you sweetheart but I am sooooo tired”, then Lizzie laughed and said “Dad get up now!”

Kurt smirked opened his eyes and reached for his coffee but Elizabeth held on to it and his muffin.  He frowned saying “Lizzie pass me the coffee I don’t like to be teased”.  Elizabeth shook her head and smirked back at him and Blaine saying, “Use your powers to get them off me!” she had challenged them both and they laughed but both reached out with their powers trying to get the coffee and muffins off their daughter but she resisted them individually. 

They then tried a different track and combined their powers and then they did reach and take both coffees and muffins away from Elizabeth, she said “No fair you cheated combining your powers” but smiling at both her parents as she then grabbed her coffee and muffin from the other room telepathically.

“Mmmmm” Blaine said in a satisfied chewing way, he took a sip of his coffee before continuing, “I sure could get used to this” then looked sideways at Kurt smirking “but not all the time”.  Elizabeth blushed and said “Daddie!” Blaine laughed as he embarrassed his daughter and Kurt who nearly choked on his muffin.

Then they all heard a knock upon the front door of the apartment and Lizzie left to answer it leaving her parents time to get up and come through to the lounge.  Lizzie was sitting upon a chair with Nick and Coop sitting on a settee waiting for Blaine and Kurt to come from the bedroom.  Blaine entered drinking another sip from his coffee and then he smiled his greetings to his best friend and brother, next Kurt came through yawning and saying his apologies for the yawn which set Blaine off yawning. 

The others laughed at the two of them and then Nick said “Thank you all for coming to my aid yesterday and I have been brought up to date with everything. Umm, did you mention anything to Jeff about what happened at my house?”

 “No we thought it prudent for you to explain that to him on your own terms” Blaine answered.  Nick smiled his relief at hearing that then continued “Kurt I asked for time away from everything to get my head around something…” pausing before continuing at Coop’s encouragement “Gabriel told me something about my abilities which kind of freaked me out but I realise now that I am more than up for the task”.

Then Kurt asked him “And that is?” Nick said “I am something beyond a normal DG but less than a full on God and I shall be able to do certain things that meld with my type of powers”

Blaine and Kurt looked askance at one another and said “We have a bit of another surprise for you guys, we are singing as a group tonight for the school and we shall be featuring none other than the delectable Miss Mercedes Jones” seeing the impact upon both Nick and Coop.

“Wait! Mercedes is singing with the Warblers and Wes is okay with this?” Nick asked confused, as he knew Sectionals were fast approaching. Kurt smiled at him and said “We had to talk fast to get Wes on board with that” and Lizzie carried on “I actually suggested that we let my Angel-songstress sing to All the school to weed out any other infected people with the ‘Void’”.

Nick looked puzzled and said “Your angel-songstress” and Lizzie nodded her head “My first follower” Smiling at that then continued “We are all aware now of the talent that Mercedes has but with the added power of being an Angel-songstress this should be fun!”.

Coop glanced at all four and then burst out laughing, unable to contain it any longer.  When he had at last gotten over his giggling fit wiping his eyes, with the other four smiling but a bit puzzled over his hilarity, Blaine asked him “Umm, Coop we know it’s going to be fun but it’s still serious” slightly put out with his brother’s display.

“Oh Blaine don’t you see the bigger picture of this the ‘Void’ is going to be blind-sided by these actions and won’t have any clue as to what to expect from us” Coop answered him.  Suddenly, the room was full of laughter and planning for any further events for tonight were completed with those in the room.

Later that evening, the Warblers and Miss Mercedes Jones were all warming up for the performance in 20 minutes when the Dean and Clarice came in, saying “Well everything is set and all of the faculty and school members are in their places. Break a leg tonight everyone” with that they walked out leaving the group to their final preparations.

Wes cleared his throat and told all the Warblers that they would be featuring a special guest for tonight only and this wouldn’t be repeated.  Mercedes just ‘Awwed’ but came over and kissed Wes’s cheek then laughed with the rest as Wes stood in shock at being kissed.

The lights flashed and they knew to go to the auditorium for final 5 minutes call and everyone was excited to perform. 

Blaine turned to Kurt and smiled giving encouragement for his solo then duet with Mercedes then everyone was standing in their places waiting for the curtain to go up. As the curtain rose people started cheering and applauding the boys.

Blaine stepped forward as the music started and he commenced the performance with ‘Hey, Soul Sister’ and they were away…. The performance was going great applauding and enjoying the concert given by their Warblers, next after Blaine Kurt stepped up and started singing ‘Blackbird’.  Then they upped the tempo again singing ‘Raise your glass’ – what occurred next was unplanned, as the lights went out unexpectantly.

The boys on stage stood where they were, as Blaine and Kurt erected a barrier around them and Mercedes.  As suddenly as the lights went out then came back on with bewildered looks from the audience and the boys, then the screaming started.

A woman had been thrown into the air and had landed at the boys feet dead – it was Miss Appleby.  Blaine, Kurt and Mercedes looked on horrified and that is when chaos reigned down upon those in the auditorium.  Blackened shadows rose like mist wraiths and lashed out with hooked claws attacking anyone within reached. Panic ensued as people tried desperately to get away from the creatures as they attacked.  Coop shouted for the boys to go as those of orders tried to fight off these creatures and save loved one.  Blaine grabbed Kurt and Mercedes hands and ran pulling the other two quickly behind him, but stopped as a huge creature rose up in front of their escape route.  It tried to lash out at Blaine but its claws bounced off the barrier from Nick and Jeff who had been quicker to react than the others and shouted for them to come over to where they were.

The ‘group’ re-grouped in the centre of the stage now with three of the huge creatures ambling forward. Suddenly, there was a bright flash of light and Lizzie stood in front of one of the creatures that turned and bellowed at her.  Kurt shouted “NO!” which in turn distracted the creature as Lizzie just pointed her finger and it disappeared, leaving the other monsters now looking at her and advancing menacingly.  This was too much for the boys, who lashed out as one and Kurt/Blaine spearhead of power shook the whole room to its foundations, and they banished all the remaining creatures from the auditorium.

The quiet was shocking, as people looked about for more of the fighting creatures, but as none were found, they quickly turned their attentions to those that needed first aid.  Those that could heal were quickly by those that were injured, treatment administered and those recovered to full health looking in astonishment at those that healed them, but smiling saying a thank you to their rescuers.

Blaine and Kurt went over to Lizzie and Kurt just embraced her shaking with fury, worry and love for her.  Blaine looked on just as angry that Lizzie would actively put herself in danger for them wasn’t it a parents’ duty to defend his child, his eyes blazed his full fury at her for doing a stupid stunt like that.  Although she let them berate her for her seemingly foolishness she only let that go on for a short while then said clearly to her parents “Dads remember what I am I was in no immediate danger especially with you and the others there to help me ‘IF’ I required it.

Blaine and Kurt calmed down a bit, but they weren’t through quite yet and would be having a further conversation later with their little goddess.

Coop came onto the stage asking if everyone was okay and no injuries then looked sadly over to the young woman crumpled upon the stage.  Miss Appleby’s glazed eyes looked up with a shocked looked frozen upon her face.  The boys looked over and then Lizzie said “David, come with me” and sat down by the prone figure, she whispered something in his ear and he started back looking at her incredulously.  Lizzie nodded her head, and David just held his hands out over the body and a golden glow emanated from them encasing the body of Miss Appleby.

The others looked on, and were then joined by Mr Ripley and a stricken Mr Fredericks, with Clarice rushing up to stand with them.  The glow intensified as Lizzie placed her hands over David’s and then it disappeared leaving the group watching intently, as they watched a miracle happen before their eyes as Miss Appleby’s chest started rising up to breathe and her eyes fluttered open.

There were gasps as David and Lizzie helped Miss Appleby up from the stage floor as she viewed everyone standing off to her left.  Mr Fredericks immediately came over to her side looking at her with increduality, Love and worry all mixed into one and then her just grabbed her planting a full kiss upon her lips.

Everyone cheered loudly and Mr Ripley said “Finally! Gawd what took you two so long?” as he looked over to the suddenly embarrassed Mr Fredericks and Miss Appleby.

The other congratulated them and Miss Appleby went across to Lizzie and David embracing both in a hug saying “Thank you”.

Mercedes suddenly asked “Well, what do we do about the infiltrators to the school?” everyone looked about and noticed another body.  It was Thad, broken and shredded from the attack earlier, the Dean and Mr Morris went over to the body and shook their heads, but Lizzie went over asking Kurt to join her.

Kurt was confused “Lizzie wouldn’t David be better as he brought Miss Appleby back with you?”

Lizzie looked at her Dad and replied “Do you remember that the TWO are now representing the old orders one light and the other dark” Kurt nodded but still didn’t understand fully, Lizzie continued “Daddie represents the ‘Light’ and so you must represent the ‘Dark’.”

Comprehension came “Oh! But why must I do this?” as Lizzie took Kurt’s hand “Dad Thad here was part of the OOD, his family are members of the inner council.  We need him back to stop any retribution from them”

Again, Kurt comprehended why and what he had to do and instead of a glowing light surrounding them, a ‘darkness’ enveloped all three.  Blaine gasped not knowing what was going on and thinking that Lizzie and Kurt had been attacked, he rushed forward, but was stopped by Coop. “Blaine wait Lizzie and Kurt are okay they are doing something”

Then there came a keening and it built up and up to a deafening scream, everyone covered their ears then it stopped and the black cloud disappeared leaving three people standing up.  Thad was looking at Kurt with adoration in his eyes and Lizzie looked proudly over at her Dad smiling.  Kurt was looking around bewildered at what he had done, but was quickly embraced by Blaine.  “Don’t ever do that to me again I nearly had a heart attack when that cloud covered you both up I thought it was attacking you?”

Lizzie told everyone that Kurt was well on to becoming a very strong ‘God’ as he battled Death and won bringing back Thad, who had been changed.  Thad looked at Lizzie asking “What do you mean changed?  I’m just a minor demon aren’t I?”

Lizzie shook her head and asked him “What do you feel” and Thad concentrated, a small smile being replaced upon his face as he felt the difference, then turned to Kurt and knelt in front of him.

Kurt didn’t know what to do “Umm, Thad what are you doing?” Blaine asked coming over to Kurts’ side, Thad looked up at Kurt “My God, let me be your servant”.

Bas turned up with Sam “What are you doing Thad Kurt already has a Servant ME!” Thad looked over to Bas and replied “Yes I know Bastian, but he is ours not just yours or your Families, remember that!”

Blaine raised his eyebrows at that and Bas sneered at Thad, but kept back with Sam “Well Kurt c-can I be your Servant to protect you and whatever else you require me to complete I shall do”

Kurt was completely off-balanced by these events, but nodded, as he glanced at Lizzie who was nodding her head as well.  Lizzie spoke with her parents explaining why she wanted Kurt to accept the offer of servitude from Thad.

“Why do you want me to take this from Thad?” Kurt mind-linked to Lizzie and Blaine, “Dad have you been in regular contact with Bas? Do you know what his family wants from this arrangement?”

Blaine looked over to Bas and looked into the mind of his former boyfriend, and shuddered when he realised what it was, Bas’s family wanted from Kurt. “Kurt under no circumstances are you to be left alone with Bas!” Blaine said quietly to Kurt.

Kurt looked at Blaine and still not knowing why but replied “Okay, but you need to explain this further when we get back to our apartment”.  Blaine just nodded his head and wandered back over to the group with Mr Fredericks holding Miss Appleby.

“Everything okay Blaine?” Nick asked Blaine, again Blaine just nodded his head and then asked Mr Ripley “Sir, now what do we do as the evenings events have been terrorised and everyone has gone to safer places upon the campus”

Mr Ripley looked over at the group taking in everyone’s eyes before he spoke “I think that we need to increase our security after tonight’s attack but will need more help in doing so”

Lizzie looked over to Mr Ripley saying “Umm, I don’t think you do we already have more powerful members here on this stage.  Why don’t we just do this now, Dad’s hold hands and then everyone take a shoulder of the person on your left-hand side.  Right now I’ll be your focus…” catching her parents unaware she reappeared within their circle “Sorry, but I need to be in the centre for this to work okay everyone Nick, take Blaine’s shoulder and Bas Kurt’s” 

The named boys did as they were told and with the link complete, Lizzie started an incantation and a glow emanated from her then increased when she tapped into her parents power then incrementally to everyone.

Lizzie increased her power and those within the link finishing the incantation releasing the glow around the group.  Everyone watched as the light rippled outwards going in every direction possible and the light disappearing from view as it grew outwards.

Mr Ripley, following the new improved security bubble was amazed at the power contained within the barrier.  Clarice raised her won eyebrows as she looked and tested it nodding her own approval of the strength of the barrier now in place.

“Right then now that is finished I think we need to regroup and I now know that there are no further infectee’s within the school or grounds.” Lizzie spoke aloud to everyone.

“Okay, then we need to categorise the Team and start building to our strengths” John said, Mr Ripley then took charge saying “Okay good idea John, but this can wait until morning now.  I need to check on everyone here at the school and find out if anybody else requires our unique help”

The group broke up and people went off in different directions to talk further or offer their help after the night’s attack upon the school”

Lizzie, Kurt and Blaine stood on the stage the last to go, “I so want this over with” Kurt said aloud to Blaine and Lizzie, then taking her parents hands in each of hers she teleported them back to the apartment.

They were pleasantly surprised to find that Burt, Carole, Finn, Maria, Richard and Coop were waiting for them in the apartment.

“Hi everyone” Kurt said and greetings were received and given, but Kurt was pulled to one side by Burt.  Burt looked at Kurt and then hugged him to him Kurt was feeling embarrassed by his Dads show of emotion in front of everyone, but Burt did not care.

“Umm, Dad I’m okay you can let me go now” Kurt asked his Dad, Burt tightened his hug then released his only child looking about to see Carole and some of the others watching them. 

Blaine came over and said “Burt you okay?” Burt looked at Blaine, then released a breath he didn’t realise he was holding. “Yeah Kid I’m okay now” then he hugged Blaine then went back to sit with Carole and chat with Maria and Richard.

Coop came over to the boys and asked if they wanted anything as he was heading out to get food and drink for everyone.  Blaine asked where he was going and then as Coop smiled, “Acquerello’s in San Francisco, why?” Blaine beamed and said “Kurt you have got to taste everything from that restaurant its fantastic.  Coop bring a variety, I want Kurt and Lizzie to try everything they have on their menu” Coop laughed at his younger brothers’ enthusiasm but nodded his head. “Umm, I may need some help with the order”

Blaine smiled saying “Well let’s get going the food isn’t going to arrive by itself” causing Coop to laugh harder at his brother’s impatience before vanishing with Blaine to get the food for the group.

Carole jumped, looking at where Blaine and Coop had just stood before and they vanished.  Carole knew that Kurt and Blaine were different but seeing it was sometimes better to believe it. Carole’s attention was brought back to Maria with a touch upon her arm “Are you alright Carole with all of this, it is a bit of a shock for people at first but everyone is still the same person but with extra bits”

Carole smiled back “No it just takes getting used to things the more I am exposed the easier I , Burt and Finn will be”.

Lizzie stood next to Kurt and they looked over at the family group interaction and smiled talking silently between themselves.

Kurt felt something pushing at the back of his mind, niggling him, he looked around and pushed his powers out feeling around the room and then further outward.  Then he connected with something “Hello Kurt and thank you for hearing me out”, Kurt mentally asked the entity “Who are you?”

The entity gently laughed and replied “Ah yes you would want to know who I am…. Well you already know something about me from your daughter” Kurt gasped, Lizzie immediately asked her Dad if anything was wrong, but he shook his head and raised his hand to forestall anybody else from asking questions.  Kurt carried on his extra-ordinary conversation with the being known as “Truth”.

“What is it I can do for you? Umm, what do we call you?” Kurt asked, again the entity laughed gently replying to Kurt “You can call me Godfrey if you like”.  Kurt blinked in surprise at that then asked Godfrey “umm, can I help you with anything?” Godfrey answered Kurt “No, but I may be able to assist you and Blaine in moving things along with your powers.  Are you ready?”

Before Kurt could reply he felt enthused with power, more power than he had ever felt understanding everything in the world and beyond.  He paled slightly as he now realised the power of what they were to face in battle, but was reassured when Godfrey brushed his mind saying “Kurt you are more than adequate to offset this being and with Blaine the two of you can handle it”

Before Kurt could thank the ‘entity’ it was gone with no trace as to him being there.  Lizzie then asked Kurt “Dad you okay you feel different?” at this, the others in the room stopped their own conversations and looked over to Kurt.

Just then Blaine and Coop returned with a pale looking Blaine being supported by Coop.  Blaine rushed over to Kurt and roughly embraced him asking “What the hell just happened? One minute Coop and I were waiting for our orders then ‘BAM!’ a bolt out of the blue….. I feel different and you do too…. K-Kurt what happened?”

Kurt swallowed and regained his own balance and looked at Blaine’s handsome face “Babe, I had a little chat with Godfrey”, Blaine looked confused and asked “Who the hell is Godfrey?  Kurt gently laughed and kissed Blaine sweetly on his lips “Blaine honey not who, but what, it was Lizzie’s Entity the ‘Truth’ and he gave us this gift to aid in our battle with the ‘Void’”.

Kurt then addressed everyone “I just had a visit from ‘Truth’, but we can call him Godfrey.  Don’t ask why just accept and move on, Blaine and I have now been elevated to our new status as ‘Gods’ in the true sense”

Nearly everyone gasped at that announcement, Burt felt overwhelmed and his heart was beating a little too fast.  He went very pale and felt the tingle start in his arm again he tried to get Caroles’ attention but she was too busy looking over at Kurt.  Cooper looked around the room at everyone’s reaction and then noticed Burt he rushed to his side shouting for someone to help as Burt clutched his chest and collapsed Carole screamed “Burt honey Nooooo!”

Kurt went from ecstatic to heartbroken in moments as he watched his father collapse on to the floor not breathing.  Carole then turned him over to start CPR, but Coop stopped her.  Blaine rushed over from Kurt to kneel down by Burt and placed his hands over Burt’s chest and forehead.

Blaine poured all his love for this man into his power and a soft glow of light surrounded both.  Kurt felt his fathers’ soul returning to his body and added his power to Blaine's’ to heal his Dad’s heart and return him to full fitness. 

Burt felt the tug back and returning of himself to his body and felt good, like really good, Burt opened his eyes to see Blaine smiling and Carole with tears streaking down his face then Kurt was there embracing his Dad with Carole crying like the adolescent he was. 

Kurt then got himself back in order turning to Blaine and embracing him in a tight bone-crushing hug “Thank you Blaine… just Thank you for being who you are” then kissed him full on the lips not caring that their parents were there.

“Wow! Kurt it’s okay your Dads going to be fine now if not even better than before” smiling as Kurt nodded his agreement. Both boys looked back as Carole was helping Burt back up with Coop’s aid.

Burt looked at everyone “Blaine I cannot express in words what you did then but …” his breath hicked as he was trying to gain control of his own emotions, as he realised that Blaine had literally brought him back from death.  “Blaine Thank you son” then embraced him and Kurt together again, then broke away “Now did someone mention food?” laughing at the tension breaker Carole sat next to Burt dumbfounded, but smiled as she realised it was Burt’s way of coping with his second near death experience.

Coop laughed “I’ll go check” Lizzie added “Why don’t I come with you Uncle Coop”. Coop was momentarily caught off balance by the remark and then smiled at Lizzie “Well my number one Niece I would love the company and another set of hands” walking over to Lizzie linking his hands in hers then both disappearing to get the food.

The others made sure that Burt was okay and then asked the boys what they could do now.  Blaine and Kurt looked at each other then turning to the rest “Well I think pretty much everything” Kurt said and pointed to his Dad as an example.

Burt sneered his agreement on that fact “What does this mean for you guys in this battle or war? What is this ‘Void’ you keep mentioning?”

Richard then spoke “Burt, the entity or the ‘Void’ is an evil thing so far beyond what we can classify properly.  It would devour our planet and galaxy just because we exist, therefore we must stand as opposition to it and whatever sides with it.”

Carole and Burt looked at one another and Finn said “WOW! DUDES that’s intense”, Kurt sneered himself at that obvious fact and Blaine laughed shaking his head, as Kurt replied “Ya think Finn”. “Kurt!” Burt reprimanded Kurt, and he looked over to an embarrassed Finn and apologised.  Lizzie stood off to the side with both eyebrows raised and looked at her Grandfather Burt with a look of such surprise that both Maria and Richard burst out laughing.

“What? Why are you both laughing at me” Lizzie asked feeling a bit put out by her other grandparents mirth. Maria went over and told her “Lizzie you took us by surprise then as you looked so much like Blaine then that it was uncanny” Blaine did a double-take then at his parents and they laughed again as he had the exact same expression upon his face as Lizzie had.

Blaine looked over to the three of them laughing at something, then to Kurt and pulled him towards the settee to sit down ignoring his parents and daughter.  “I don’t see anything funny do you” Blaine asked Kurt, but Kurt just smiled and kissed his cheek “No not really but she is our daughter”
