Chapter 7
Ring. Ring.
Blaine groaned at the noise disturbing him from his incredible sleep. He winced at the pain in his arm from the awkward position he'd been in all night and huffed as the ringing continued.
Ring. Ring.
Kurt was on top of him and didn't appear to react to the noise at all. Blaine eased the man over a little and pushed the blanket off of them, reaching for his cell phone. His eyes blinked a few times and he tried to wake up as he answered.
"M'hello?"
There wasn't a response on the other end at first. Kurt rolled off of him now, ending up on his side of the bed instead of on top of Blaine like he'd been a majority of the night. Blaine stretched now, easing his way to sit up as the voice finally responded.
"This doesn't sound like either one of my sons."
Blaine scratched at his stubble as he tried to place the voice. It sounded familiar, like a voice he'd grown to know very well over the —
Oh shit.
"This actually sounds a lot like Anderson."
Blaine woke up quickly. "Mr. Hummel! Hey," he pulled the phone away from his face and noticed that it was indeed Kurt's phone he'd answered and then returned it to his ear. "I um, I'm sorry I picked up the wrong phone—"
"It's fine, kid." The man replied, though Blaine could practically hear the suspicions running through his best friend's father's head. "I'm looking to speak to Kurt, though… are you with him?"
Blaine swallowed hard. He'd known Burt pretty well. They'd met in his freshman year at one of the Gators' games, and ever since then they'd been pretty friendly and familiar with one another. It wasn't like they were extremely close, but Burt knew that Blaine and Finn were best friends. He'd known that Blaine came out, and even coached him a bit in a way that Blaine's father had problems doing when he'd come out to them during his teenage years. It wasn't that Blaine's dad was terrible, but just that he didn't understand. He was still a good guy.
But back to Burt, he was a lot of things, but stupid wasn't one of them.
"Uh y-yeah," Blaine looked down at Kurt's naked body fast asleep next to him. "He's sleeping. In his bed. Across the room." Blaine lied. "We're bunking together this week, you see? I'm the only one with an extra bed—"
"And you just happened to answer his phone, Blaine?"
Blaine sighed. "Yeah…he left it, um…" the junior shook his head. "We have the same ringtone. The one that chimes… and it um, it was charging next to me…?"
The line was quiet for a moment and Blaine assumed that the man had enough and disconnected. He waited a while though and looked back down at Kurt sleeping, and then at the time to see it was almost noon. Usually Kurt was wide awake at this point, but they did have a really, really long night of moaning and scratching and biting—
"Just tell him to call me when he's up."
And you're still on the phone with his father, you pervert. Blaine shook his head. "Sure thing, Mr. Hummel. Please tell Ms. Carole I said hello."
There was a small hum of acknowledgement on the other end. "Sure thing, Blaine. Goodbye."
Blaine hung up quickly. He took a deep breath and shook his head. If he ever wanted anything to happen between him and Kurt, this could put a damper on things. He didn't want Burt to know he was banging his son before they properly announced that they were seeing one another. … Well before they were properly seeing one another, at that.
The phone buzzed in his hand and Blaine finished his yawn to read the message. He shouldn't have, but it was just there.
From Felix:
It was good talking to you last night, and I'm sorry that I fell asleep, lol. But I loved the voicemail. I miss you too, Kurt. I can't wait until you're back baby. Whenever you're free from Finn time, I'll be here. Well, I have work until 5 today, but then I'm free. TTYL.
Blaine raised an eyebrow at the message.
Though he didn't want to, he felt upset. Angry, even.
When did Kurt leave Felix a voicemail? Was it after they'd done it last night or earlier when Blaine went to make them popcorn for their movie? Did Kurt call him 'baby' too? Was he being truthful about not having any feelings for this guy, because this message said otherwise.
What hurt Blaine more was the fact that they both knew their time was limited, yet Kurt couldn't exclusively give him a few days before running back to the last guy. There was even a possibility that they were still together. How would Blaine know any differently? Maybe he was just a fun fuck.
And what was funny was that Kurt had gotten so angry Sunday night when he thought Blaine was just screwing him, and treating him the way he treated his other "friends", but it seemed that Kurt was really the one doing that here.
He put the phone down and got out of bed. As he stretched, trying to push every negative thought to the back of his mind, he heard Kurt groan and toss over on the bed.
"No."
Blaine walked over to his dresser, pulling on a pair of boxers. "'No' what?"
Kurt couldn't bother to open his eyes. After their talk last night, they'd gone to bed, locked the door, and fucked like it was nobody's business. He could barely think proper thoughts, never mind open his eyes and have a conversation with Blaine. "Mm. Bed. Don't leave."
Blaine looked at himself in the mirror, noticing Kurt still asleep in the background of the reflection. "I'm going for a run. I'll be back later on." He put on a Gators shirt over some sweat shorts and grabbed his water bottle. Kurt, noticing something in his voice, finally forced his eyes open and sat up. He could see that Blaine seemed a little tense and was pretty much avoiding eye contact.
"Blaine… is something wrong?"
Blaine picked up his sneakers and shook his head no. "Nothing, Kurt. I just need to run."
Kurt watched him for a moment. "Are you sure? You look…you just seem upset—"
"Just drop it." Blaine sat down on the edge of the bed and put his sneakers on. He felt the man behind him move around a bit, but he didn't care to turn and see what he was doing.
Kurt reached for his phone and saw the message from Felix. He smiled a bit until he saw the word baby, but then the fact that his phone screen was on made him suspicious. Suddenly, Blaine being upset made a hell of a lot of sense.
"Were you going through my phone?"
Blaine tied his sneaker and rolled his eyes at the question. "Your father called not too long ago. I was sleeping but heard the ringtone so I answered it. He wants you to call him back."
Kurt scratched at the nape of his neck. "What does that have to do with my message from Felix being read?"
Blaine stood up and put his earphones in, walking towards the door. He gestured outside. "Listen, Kurt, I accidentally answered your phone thinking that it was mine. Your dad was on the other line. I apologized and told him you'd give him a call when you woke up—"
"So does he know we're—"
"No," Blaine said quickly, not wanting to even imagine that Burt knew for sure there was… a lot going on between them. "No. I said we have the same ringtone and that's all. But," he looked at Kurt finally and the man waited for a response, "after I hung up, Felix texted you and that's why it says your message is read."
Kurt looked down at his phone screen and read the message in its entirety, sighing at what it contained. Now he knew that the voicemail he'd left Felix was taken out of context, and this message was definitely taken the wrong way by Blaine. When Kurt looked up, Blaine was already out the door, closing it behind him. He heard the soft click and sighed, lying back down in bed.
Hopefully Blaine was only going for a short run and when he came back, they could talk about this and handle it maturely. Their relationship was becoming more mature and conversation oriented, and the blue eyed man didn't want to lose the ground they'd gained. He bit his lip as he reread Felix's message and started to reply, hoping to make this clearer than his voicemail was, apparently.
To Felix:
Hey… I know last night we got to talk more than we usually do and I'm grateful for that. You're an amazing guy, Felix, and I really do miss you. But I don't want you to take this the wrong way… we're just friends and we agreed that it was better this way. Maybe I'm reading too much into the text you sent me but I just wanted that to be said, ok? It was great talking to you too and I really don't want to lose that.
I'll try and call you later.
Kurt pressed send and exhaled hard as he looked up at the ceiling. He told himself to go back to sleep because today was Blaine's day, and if his buddy wasn't mad at him they'd be going to have that sex marathon that Blaine told Kurt he fantasized about. The man would be lying if he said he wasn't looking forward to it, because he definitely was, and the last thing Kurt wanted was for a misunderstanding to ruin their plans.
He sat there thinking for a while, and after thoughts of Blaine's smile and the way it felt to be in his arms finally left Kurt's mind, he slowly drifted back to sleep.
….
You should just call him.
It was probably nothing.
Blaine focused on running around the track though his subconscious wouldn't let him stop thinking about Kurt. If it was this bad now, the man could only imagine what it would be like when Kurt went back to New York.
Back to New York with Felix.
He sighed and pushed himself a little harder. The shirt he'd worn was already drenched down the back and over his chest, and his legs were burning from exhaustion, but he didn't stop. Running helped to keep Blaine calm. He listened to the music playing from his iPod and began to sing along as best he could, keeping an even pace.
I could show you love
In a tidal wave of mystery
You'll still be standing next to me
You could be my luck
Even if we're six feet underground
I know that we'll be safe and sound
We're safe and sound—
Blaine slowed down once he felt his phone vibrating and came to a stop to check who it was. After drinking the last of what was in his water bottle, he noticed Kurt's name flashing across the screen along with the picture of him Blaine stole off Facebook. He wondered what this could be about as he pressed pause on his iPod and put the phone to his ear. Slightly out of breath, he answered.
"Hello."
"Yeah… it's me," Kurt's smooth voice replied. Blaine rolled his eyes, about to tell Kurt that he had caller ID when the man spoke again. "I just woke up again and you still aren't back. I was beginning to worry, I guess."
Blaine began to walk now as he listened to him. "Why would you worry? I told you I needed to go for a run."
"Well because," Kurt replied to him. Blaine looked around the University of Florida track and sighed.
"Because what, Kurt? I'm fine…"
"I guess I didn't want you to be mad at me and I think you are." There was a brief pause, "Mainly because you saw that message and it seemed to be something it is not. I hope that you know that I wouldn't lie to you."
Blaine looked down at his sneakers as he walked. "First off, I'm sorry for reading the message. It wasn't intentional."
Kurt hummed. "I understand. I'm not mad."
"Good," Blaine supplied. "Second, while I didn't mean to, I saw what he said and it really confused me, Kurt—"
"Please, please listen," the man responded, and Blaine was quiet because he could hear in Kurt's voice that he really wanted Blaine to do just that. "I… last night before we started on our second movie, I texted him to say that I do miss him. My roommate told me that they were hanging out together with another friend of mine, Santana, and I thought I'd say hello. We usually talk a lot and since this vacation I've been putting him on the back burner, as I usually do…"
Blaine went to sit down on the bleachers. "Ok."
He could hear Kurt sigh. "So I texted him and we talked for a while. I told him that I missed him too and that I'm having a good time here. I didn't mention you for obvious reasons, and—"
"Like?" Blaine questioned, more offended than he'd hoped to sound. Kurt waited a moment before replying, probably trying to say it perfectly.
"Blaine, I know how we feel about each other. I wish things could be different, but they aren't. And with Felix… I just don't want it to seem like I'm throwing you or any other guy in his face, you know?"
Blaine looked over the field and nodded, not acknowledging the fact that he couldn't be seen.
"But we talked for a while, and I made him laugh a bit. I just wanted him to know that he does matter to me and we are still friends. When you went out of the room, he'd fallen asleep at that point and I left him a voicemail to say that it was nice and that I do miss him… I didn't want him to take it the way he did…"
"Ok." Blaine rubbed his face, not knowing if he believed that. "You have to see where I'm coming from, though. I'm telling you I like you and you don't see me getting those types of messages from other guys I have history with."
"Friendly reminder that James wants me dead?"
Blaine laughed, even though he didn't want to. "He doesn't want you dead and I can assure you my… relationship with him isn't what you have with Felix."
Kurt hummed. "Regardless of that, I'm not playing you. Maybe what I had with Felix is more than what you have with James—"
"Had."
"Had," Kurt corrected. "That shouldn't matter. I am still only focused on you and the thought of you being upset with me because of that really makes me sad."
Blaine's eyes were closed as he listened and he shook his head, hating how Kurt's voice alone could make his heart race. "I don't like it when you're sad."
"Then come home and I won't be sad anymore," Kurt told him obviously. "We have what? A few days left and we should be spending it together. I want you here."
Blaine smiled because he could hear the adorable pout on Kurt's face. "I guess I'll come back, then."
"You guess?" Kurt teased. "Well I'll be waiting. The quicker you get here, the quicker you can kiss me…"
Blaine stood up quickly, not even ashamed at the smile on his face. No one was out here so he didn't have to hide how gushy he felt, or the fact that Kurt made him feel like a 14 year old girl with a mega crush. He decided to believe him and just be happy.
"I love kissing you, Kurt."
There wasn't an answer at first and Blaine chuckled softly to himself, starting to jog in the direction of the frat house. He almost spoke until that response finally arrived.
"And I love kissing you, Blaine. Hurry back."
Blaine smiled. "Okay."
….
Kurt had taken a quick shower in the meantime. He didn't know how far away Blaine decided to go for this run, but it was taking him a while to get back. The man sat in front of the mirror and completed his morning routine, then decided to pack a few things for their stay at the hotel. He decided that a few of Blaine's toys would come in handy.
Finn was heard outside of the room, making a fuss at Thomas about something or another. He came in a minute later and smiled when he saw Kurt.
"You look hot, bro."
Kurt made a face and turned to look at Finn. "You're complimenting me. You must want something…"
Finn laughed and shook his head no, leaning against the door frame. He smoothed out his Abercrombie polo shirt and looked at the bag Kurt was packing. "No, I'm just complimenting you because you really do look hot. Sexy date with Blaine?"
Kurt smiled and rolled his eyes, looking back at what he was doing before his brother entered the room. "Not exactly. We're going to hang out today but you know, the dating thing won't really work if we start now."
Thomas came in the room now, and had obviously been eavesdropping. "And why is that?"
"Well let's not mention the fact that we live hours away from one another, boys. We both have these lifestyles that…" Kurt sighed, not believing he was explaining this again. He stood up and looked at them, "neither of us are the best at relationships. He does what he does and I do what I do. Trying to be in a successful, healthy relationship that's over a thousand miles apart would be stupid I think."
Before Finn or Thomas could argue, because they both had every intent to do just that, a sweaty Blaine pushed Tommy aside and stepped in. He looked at both of his frat buddies with a smirk before giving Kurt his best poker face. "Are they harassing you again?"
Kurt, not at all distracted by Blaine's rippling muscles or the way the sheen coat of sweat made his body glisten, half nodded as an answer. The part of him that wasn't imagining licking every inch of Blaine's body right now spoke. "They're pushing this whole…being boyfriends thing. C-Can you believe it?" he forced a laugh and looked at Blaine's arms.
Blaine could believe it. He had a feeling they were pushing it because they knew that he was completely different with Kurt than he'd been with anyone else, and since Kurt was related to Finn and obviously an amazing guy, they'd just play matchmaker and feel good about themselves. He heard the entire conversation and while it did hurt to think about, everything Kurt said was true. He could pretend that he'd be an amazing long-distance boyfriend and stay faithful, but to be honest, he couldn't be 100% sure. "Guys, just lay off of us for a while. Que sera, sera. Forcing it won't help anything." He pulled off his wet shirt and Thomas smirked at how hard Kurt gulped and how the man's eyes dilated.
"I could totally go for a quesadilla but I don't know what that has to do with anything," Finn told Blaine. All the men in the room looked at him.
"Get out," Blaine said with a laugh, pushing a laughing Thomas and a genuinely confused Finn Hudson out of the room. Once the door was closed he locked it, and they both could hear Thomas explaining that Que Sera, Sera and quesadillas were two totally different things.
Kurt zipped his overnight bag closed and looked over at Blaine. He saw the man smile as he ran a hand through his dark hair. He hadn't gelled yet and it was just a mass of sweaty, curly, pullable wonder.
"I'm sorry about them."
Kurt smiled, sitting down on the bed. "You don't have to apologize. How was your run?" His eyes raked Blaine's shirtless chest down to his abdomen before he quickly locked eyes with the man. "I hope you're not upset about—"
"We won't discuss that anymore." Blaine kicked off his sneakers and crawled onto the bed. "What we will discuss," Kurt's eyes started to wander again and the New Yorker bit his bottom lip, "is the kisses you promised me."
That elicited a broad smile, one that Kurt rarely gave. "Once you shower, we'll discuss it, stinky."
Blaine finally crawled over to Kurt and the man started to laugh as his face was cupped and his Blaine's lips were on his neck. "You're so sweaty right now, Blaine and I just got out of the shower— ew! Blaine!"
The running back laughed as he tackled Kurt and kissed him hard on the lips. Kurt squirmed at first but what Blaine loved was that he could feel him laughing into the kiss. It meant he wasn't a dead man. He deepened the kiss for a while, smiling as Kurt got into it too. Then, he felt a pillow hit the side of his head.
He pulled back and stared into blue eyes. "You don't want to do that."
"Try me," Kurt said.
Blaine took the pillow and whacked Kurt with it, laughing when a muffled 'my hair!' came from the boy's lips. He went to do it again after tickling Kurt's navel.
But those were his nuts that just got kneed in.
"FUCK!"
Kurt's eyes went wide and his mouth dropped at the shout. Blaine rolled over, off of him and onto his back as he clutched at his crotch. "OH MY FUCK!"
"So Blaine's a screamer," Thomas said outside the door. Kurt tried not to laugh but he couldn't.
"Blaine… I'm so sorry! Nobody said anything about a tickle fight and that's just not okay—"
"FUCK!"
Kurt sat up; his face still pink from laughing. "I'm sorry!"
Blaine tried taking deep breaths as his eyes watered. "Next time we make out, I'm wearing my cup."
"You tickled me! Don't tickle me next time!"
"Well NOW I know that!"
Kurt bit his lip, smiling when Blaine blatantly started to stroke himself as if he was trying to make himself feel better. Kurt knew jerking off when he saw it though. "You're touching yourself."
A horn honked outside but they ignored it. "Well you fucking kneed me in the nuts, I'm trying to fix this. You aren't." Blaine implied with a smirk.
Kurt shrugged and lay back down. "You can fix it in the shower. And hurry up, we have plans today…"
The honking noise sounded again and Blaine wondered if Tommy's girlfriend was coming over today. He didn't know anyone else that obnoxious. "Can I have a kiss? That's the least you can do after ruining my chances of procreating."
Kurt scoffed and looked the man in his hazel eyes. "You're so damn dramatic, Blaine."
"Maybe." He shrugged. A smile covered his lips when he had Kurt's complete attention, and they held eye contact for a moment. It was scary how nice it felt, being one another's focus. "C'mere, beautiful."
Kurt remained in place. He could only admire how handsome Blaine's everything was. Even when he was a sweaty, stinky boy, he was the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen. His eyes always did this thing where they'd light up, he noticed, and his lips were so soft and pink. He had the cutest nose and the funniest eyebrows, and the laugh lines around his eyes that only showed when he was genuinely amused were one of the things Kurt loved about Blaine.
He moved closer and sighed, not caring about how sweaty Blaine was or how he'd just showered. Those were little things. The important things were how when their lips were touching like this, his heart would thump so hard in his chest. How whenever Blaine cradled his face like Kurt was the most precious thing to him, and the soft sounds he'd make when Kurt's tongue touched his, it'd feel like nothing else in this entire universe mattered. How every time they kissed, Kurt wanted to forget everything else and just be. He wanted to just be Blaine's, no one else's.
Neither of them was sure how long they'd been kissing. Kurt realized he was on the edge of the bed now with Blaine on top of him, and it had taken a good amount of rolling around for that to happen. What Kurt was aware of was Blaine's hand in his, pinned against the bed, and their legs tangled together; the sound of ohs and ahs every time one would roll their hips down or thrust their hips up, and the constant feeling of 'I really, really want you' that radiated in between them at every second.
They'd been so caught up that neither knew the door was opened a minute ago. Noah Puckerman smiled as he took another picture and forwarded it to most of their high school friends. He felt proud of himself, but even more proud of Kurt.
"Get some, Hummel."
It was probably meant to be a whisper. Puck was never the type to cockblock. But it came out a bit louder than he intended and Kurt tried to shoot up once the voice was recognized; sending his knee flying into Blaine's nuts yet again.
"FUUCK!"
"Oh shit," Kurt looked away from Blaine rolling onto the floor and winced. He put the man in pain for the second time that afternoon. He then looked to Noah Puckerman standing in the doorway, still confused. "What? How'd you get in here? Why—"
"I thought you'd be way happier to see me! I drove across the country to be able to see you and Finnigan over Spring Break!"
"Holy shit," Blaine gasped, clutching himself in his shorts. It was a thousand times worse now because he was hard and Kurt's knee was made of steel, he was sure of it. "Oh fuck…"
"I'm sorry," Kurt winced, getting up and moving to the floor with Blaine. "I'm so sorry, Blaine, I—"
"It's fine…" Blaine gasped, hiding his face in the crook of his elbow. "I just… n-need a minute."
Puck smiled. "Well I'll be damned. Anderson and my little Kurt getting it on!" his Mohawk was completely gone and he now wore some kind of… fade haircut. Kurt acknowledged it was better but he was still pissed. "I can't say I saw that coming. I thought he'd be way too much of a player for you, Hummel."
Kurt rolled his eyes. "Do you mind, Puck?"
Finn walked in the room next as Blaine tried to sit up. "Um…" he took in the scene and Puck turned around, grinning, "what the hell is happening in here?"
"How'd he get in here? I locked the door…" Blaine gritted through his teeth. The last thing he needed was Puck here. Puck had been to their parties whenever he visited Finn and he knew about Blaine… well old Blaine. Pre-Kurt Blaine. Blaine didn't want that. "The door was locked, Puck."
Puck offered to help him up but Blaine only waited for an answer. "This is me you're talking to. I stole an ATM at 16. At 19 I had broken into Paula Dean's mansion and lived there for an entire week without anyone thinking something was wrong. Surely I can get into this room without problem…"
Kurt stood and pulled Blaine off the floor. He apologized again, though Blaine could see him hiding his smile. "It's fine. I'm going to shower, ok. And we can get going."
Kurt, ignoring his brother and silly friend, kissed Blaine softly on the lips. "I'll be downstairs."
Blaine blushed, not expecting that in front of anyone. He heard an aww from Finn and just knew Puck was smirking. "Alright."
Kurt rolled his eyes at Puck and pushed past both him and Finn. "Downstairs, you two. Now."
Blaine turned around and watched them go. He watched Finn mosey out before Puck glanced back and winked at him. He shook his head.
Thank God the two of them were leaving for the day. He couldn't bear to stay at home with Puck, Finn, and Thomas running around.
….
"I'll take some steak and eggs with cheddar cheese and waffles. Thanks Tommy Boy," Puck waved at the man in the kitchen as he plopped down on the sofa. He smiled at Kurt who was ignoring him.
"So… you and Anderson? That's unexpected, I gotta say Hummel."
Kurt hummed an answer, not saying much else. He really felt bad about the whole day—the Felix thing, the kneeing nuts thing and now, the Puck showing up and being Puck thing. It was like this week was getting progressively worse instead of better.
"It isn't what you think it is," Finn sat down and bit into his apple, flipping channels on the big screen. "They're just having fun man."
Puck nodded. "I know. Blaine is the 'just having fun' type."
Kurt gave him a pointed look. "I know exactly the type that Blaine is and I am a big boy. Thank you, Noah."
"I just want it to be said I'm not against kicking his ass if you end up hurt, that's all." Puck picked up the guitar at the side of the sofa and started to tune it. "That's all."
Kurt sighed. "Like I said, I'm a big boy. I can handle myself. Thank you though." His phone started to vibrate and he reached for it.
"You're welcome." Puck played softly and looked at Finn.
"They're good. I talked to both of them. So what brings you here, man?"
As he answered, he strummed a little louder. "Oh you know. Needed a little break. Kurt's old man is driving me crazy at the shop. I appreciate him taking me under his wing and all…"
From Santana:
WOW. Hummel… who's the hottie?
From Tina:
Damn, Kurt! Someone is having a fantastic time during his Spring Break! I thought I was living it up in Palms Spring but you!
From Rachel:
Oh. So you and Finn's BFF seem to be cozying up to one another.
From Artie:
I see you, Kurt! Not mad at you… curious as to what happened with Felix but I'm not mad at you.
Kurt pinched the bridge of his nose and Puck knew why. He tried to stand and go join Thomas in the kitchen but Finn responded; mouth full of apple.
"It's better than a pool business in Ohio, though. Burt's more than likely leaving you his business which you know he loves—"
"Noah. Did you send pictures of Blaine and I to our friends? Are you fucking kidding me?"
Puck sighed, though he couldn't stop himself from smiling. "Now Kurt, what kind of selfish person would I be if I didn't share something that beautiful with our lovely friends?"
From Mercedes:
Woah. You're enjoying your week in the sun. God Bless.
Kurt rolled his eyes and stood up. "I can't believe you."
"That wasn't cool," Finn said seriously, looking at his friend. "Come on, man."
"I'm sorry," though he said it, he had a smile on his face. "I'm seriously sorry. I'll make it up to you…"
Kurt was already on the other side of the room, shaking his head and trying to calm down the people who were texting him. Puck always found a way to 'unintentionally' make his life more difficult.
About half an hour later, Blaine had finally come downstairs. He didn't appear to be limping or anything, so Kurt knew he didn't completely annihilate his balls. Blaine sat his overnight bag at the bottom of the frat house's stairs next to Kurt's and smiled when he saw him.
"I'm all ready. We can get something to eat out there if you haven't yet."
Kurt smiled, sitting up a bit straighter. Blaine looked incredible. He didn't use too much gel like he usually did, and his dark hair stood up a bit. His short sleeve button-up was a pale lavender color and the white shorts he had on were at the perfect length above his knees. It was almost as if Kurt picked his outfit and that was important for him in a relationship.
Not that we're in one… I'm just saying.
It almost felt as if they were going on a date, and not to a hotel room to spend the next 24 hours screwing one another. Kurt liked that.
"I haven't eaten yet. Picking up something will be fine."
Finn finished up his apple and turned to watch the two of them. "You're all packed up… where are you going and will you be home by curfew?"
Thomas snorted from the kitchen.
"We're going somewhere far away from all of you." Blaine answered, picking up both of their bags. "We'll be back in time for the beach tomorrow, if that's okay… we'll probably just meet you there."
Kurt nodded. "Don't wait up."
Puck smiled and shook his head. "Don't have too much fun, fellas. You know, like falling in love."
Finn and Thomas smiled, knowing that part was well past controlling.
"Goodbye," Blaine held the door open for Kurt and exited after him. As he reached for the car keys in his pocket, he could hear Puck clearly shouting about using protection. Kurt shook his head and walked to the man's Mustang.
"I'm really, really sorry about him."
Blaine shook his head as he went to put their bags in the backseat. "Don't. I should apologize… if he's said anything about how wild I get at parties or whatever…"
Kurt laughed.
"I've done things and I don't want you to see me that way."
"I have done things too. I take you for how you are and you take me for how I am."
Blaine closed the door and then smiled, accepting a kiss from Kurt before he got in the car. He wouldn't admit it but that was something he could definitely get used to.
Once he was in the car, he got strapped in and started it up. "I should probably say I don't think I'm the same guy I was since you came along. It's been a short time but I know for certain that I don't want to be him."
Kurt listened to all that was said and smiled softly, nodding in response. After a moment, Blaine took his hand and then pulled out of the driveway, quickly making his way off campus. They both drove in silence, save the One Republic album playing from the radio, and each man quietly enjoyed it more than they should.
….
The hotel wasn't too far from campus, but it was a nice ride. Blaine pulled up at the Hilton and sighed when he couldn't park because of the amount of vehicles double parked in front of him. He felt Kurt playing with his fingers and wondered what was going on.
"It looks like a wedding party." Kurt spoke just above the soft music playing. "Maybe this is where they're having their reception. Pretty nice hotel."
Blaine smiled as he felt Kurt staring at him. "It wasn't expensive if that's what you're wondering."
"And you aren't lying to me?" Kurt asked with a smile.
"I promise I'm not."
It wasn't expensive for Blaine. So technically, he wasn't lying.
Kurt looked back at the group and smiled. "They all look so nice. I can tell that the bridesmaid is wearing Vera Wang."
Blaine smirked. "Wow. You're pretty good."
Kurt nodded. "I told you, I'm amazing." He looked at him and smiled. "So we can park on the other side if you want. I don't mind walking. Valet is pretty busy…"
Blaine looked up at the group gathering in front of the hotel. "Have you ever crashed a wedding reception?"
He didn't get an answer at first but he knew Kurt heard him. "I know you aren't thinking what I think you are."
Blaine laughed a little and then turned to face Kurt. "It would be a lot of fun. We can go rent a couple tuxedos, get changed in the car, go to the party and celebrate with this beautiful couple on such a lovely day for them—"
"OR, we can go there and be embarrassed and arrested."
Blaine's face wrinkled as he laughed, and there were those laugh lines. "Why the hell would your mind take you to us being arrested?!"
"This is crazy."
"Well, I want to do it," Blaine let go of Kurt's hand to take the car out of park. Once he pulled off, he retook it, "and it'll be loads of fun. There'll be cake and I bet the food will be fantastic."
Kurt rolled his eyes, but the smile on his face gave him away. He held Blaine's hand with both of his, nodding his head to the radio. "What about your sex marathon?"
"Oh," Blaine laughed, "We've got tonight. Let's make some other memories first. Deal?"
Kurt nodded as they stopped at a red light. "Deal." They found one another's eyes and smiled, cheeks tinting a soft pink.
….
Have I told you lately that I love you?
Can I tell you once again, somehow?
Have I told with all my heart and soul how I adore you?
Well, darling, I'm telling you now.
Kurt stepped into the room after Blaine did, still feeling a little uneasy about the whole thing. They looked around the room and it was beautifully decorated. People were happy. The atmosphere was full of love. Blaine straightened his bowtie and turned to look at Kurt, beautiful grin on his stupid, sexy face.
"How do I look?"
Kurt pulled at the lapels of Blaine's tux and smiled, smoothing it down. "You look amazing."
Blaine winked at him, "And I'm happy you went with the blue Armani. You look so incredible."
Kurt blushed and turned his focus to the party. He saw the flower girl and ring bearer dancing to the Michael Buble playing and couldn't help but smile. "They are too adorable for words."
Blaine turned back and smiled too, shaking his head. He noticed someone looking at them and cleared his throat, dragging Kurt further inside.
"Hello, sorry we're late. This is for the bride and groom." He handed the last minute gift over and the man nodded, accepting it with a smile.
"It's ok. Sheila and Robert are just happy to have you here."
Blaine looked at Kurt who was trying not to run out of the room and then back to the older man. "We're happy to be here. Sheila is such a lovely bride and Robert looks handsome himself. This reception is lovely."
He gave a hearty laugh and put his champagne flute to his lips. "It better be. I paid a hell of a lot of money for this shindig."
Blaine laughed effortlessly, and Kurt would've thought he was the performing arts major in this scenario if he didn't know any better. He forced a laugh himself and felt completely awkward afterwards, knowing Blaine would laugh at him later for this. "Well I'm sure Sheila will be eternally grateful."
He nodded. "Go enjoy yourselves, boys. There's food and good music… good people."
Kurt smiled. "T-Thank you."
Blaine shook his head.
"Oh, I didn't catch your names?"
"Oh, I'm sorry," Blaine shook his hand, "I'm Brad and this is Kevin."
"Ah," Sheila's dad smiled at Kurt. "I've heard so much about you both. But I thought Kevin was a little more… chatty."
Blaine took his hand back and looked at his date. "He usually is."
Kurt glared at him before smiling at the man. "Once I have a drink, I'll be a bit more outgoing," they both laughed and shook hands. "Thanks again."
"No problem at all. Enjoy yourselves."
Have I told you how the nights are long when you're not with me?
Well, darling, I'm telling you now.
My heart would break in two if I should lose you
It's no good without you, anyhow.
Oh, have I told you lately that I love you?
Well, darling, I'm telling you now.
My sweet darling, I'm telling you now.
Darling, I'm telling you now.
"Didn't know the cat would get your tongue back there, Kevin."
"Didn't know you'd be such a dick, Brad." Kurt retorted, accepting the glass from Blaine and shaking his head when his date laughed. "I told you I was scared."
"And I told you we'd be fine." Blaine had no problem grabbing some champagne and a few hors d'oeuvres. It was like he'd done this before. "Don't be afraid, ok? Just loosen up a little. We're having a good time."
Kurt took a sip and licked his lips as he looked around. The wedding party was dancing and the guests were chatting, congratulating the bride and groom and complimenting them on a beautiful ceremony. The kids were being kids, but they looked absolutely adorable, Kurt thought. He decided to lighten up a bit.
"You're right."
Blaine smiled. "I always am, baby."
"Easy on the 'baby', Brad," Kurt took his hand and led them to an empty table. The waiter came over quickly and took their orders. "If we get arrested for this, I'll never forgive you."
Blaine smiled. "You would, but we don't have to worry about that, ok?"
Kurt nodded, sitting back in his seat. He turned his cell phone off after a minute and Blaine smiled at him. "Just the two of us."
Blaine nodded and did the same. "You and I."
….
An hour later and they were both having a blast. Blaine had successfully pulled Kurt away from the baby cupcakes and onto the dance floor. They'd eaten and mingled, and watched the bride throw her bouquet and the groom his garter, and even made some pretty good friends in the ring bearer and flower girl. The two seven year olds thought Kevin and Brad made the best couple and Blaine agreed wholeheartedly. Kurt only blushed and pinched his date when he was teased for it.
The wedding singer and band were amazing. Cheesy, but amazing. It could be the champagne they had running through their veins, but either way, they were pretty good. Blaine pulled Kurt close to him and they swayed, singing along to the song playing.
Fly me to the moon
Let me play among the stars
Let me see what spring is like
On a-Jupiter and Mars
"In other words, hold my hand…" Kurt sang in Blaine's ear, laughing when he was dipped.
"In other words," Blaine sang back, "baby, kiss me," he stole a quick kiss and returned them to their positions, laughing when Kurt reminded him about the 'baby' thing. "You love it."
"I know, and that's the problem."
Fill my heart with song
And let me sing for ever more
You are all I long for
All I worship and adore
In other words, please be true
In other words, I love you
Kurt kissed Blaine on the cheek as they danced. Sheila came over and she was radiant, and Kurt noticed first, smiling at the beautiful bride.
"Hey—"
"Save it," she laughed and Blaine looked up; hands still hooked around Kurt's waist. "I know you two crashed my reception and I'm not mad about it at all," she added the latter when Kurt looked as if he'd puke, "but I just need you two to tone down the cute. This is supposed to be my day, damnit!"
Blaine laughed a little and looked at Kurt. "We're sorry about that… can we um… do you mind if we sing a duet though?"
"We didn't discuss this at all, Brad."
Sheila smiled. "I'd love that! Robert would too. Two people as in love as we are… it'd be beautiful. After this song is over, just go for it!" she walked off to inform the band before Kurt or Blaine could say otherwise. Blaine smiled at him.
"Come on, Kevin. One song. For Sheila and Robert. We've eaten their food, desserts, and drank most of their champagne for free. The least we could do is sing them a song, baby."
Kurt didn't even bother correcting him on the baby this time. He was so done with Blaine and this whole thing. "You do know it's merely a coincidence she was so nice. She could've been really upset. We're overstaying our welcome with this duet thing. And you're probably drunk."
"I'm not drunk, Kurt." Blaine smiled, walking in a straight line and then back. "You're just upset that she said we're in love and cute. You want to be a hard ass all the time."
"I'm not upset about anything."
"Then be my duet partner," he grabbed Kurt close again, "come on, Kevin. It'll be—"
"Fun," Kurt finished. "I know. It'll be fun."
Blaine spun him and pulled him close. "I love how you finish my sentences. True love."
Kurt smiled and rolled his eyes, returning his hands to Blaine's shoulders. "You're such a dick."
Fill my heart with song
Let me sing for ever more
You are all I long for
All I worship and adore
In other words…
"Please be true," Blaine sang in his ear. Kurt pulled back to look in his eyes.
In other words, in other words
I love you.
There was applause and then Robert was on stage. "Thank you to the lovely Anna Moronta and her band. While they go on break, we're going to have Brad and Kevin sing a duet for us! Give it up for Brad and Kevin everybody!"
The room applauded and Blaine looked from Kurt's lips to around the room. Most of them had already met Kurt and Blaine and loved them to pieces if the applause was any indication. The little ring bearer fist pumped as Kurt took a deep breath and smiled, walking to the stage.
"I guess I have no choice but to rock this since you've put me in this predicament…"
Blaine smiled and walked behind him. "Just follow my lead."
"Uh huh," Kurt turned to him. "None of that rock mumbo jumbo you sing with your band."
They got on stage and Blaine took a microphone, smiling at Kurt. "Only the best for you." he put the guitar on and whispered something to the drummer as Kurt stood there, smiling.
This had the potential to go terribly wrong.
"My name is Brad and this is my fiancé Kevin."
Oh my god.
"And we're going to sing a little old school Olly Murs for you." he started to play and smiled at Kurt, bobbing his head as he and the drummer got on the same accord. Kurt began to do a little dance and the bride and groom followed suit, laughing as they enjoyed one another.
Where do I begin?
Should I tell you how bad I need you now?
Yeah, you're underneath my skin
But I'm confused, my head is spinning all around, oh
Blaine walked over, quickly singing the rest into Kurt's mic.
I waited so long,
I need to know, darling
What is on your mind?
Kurt rolled his eyes at the flirt's song choice and started to sing into the mic with him. Blaine laughed, strumming the guitar. The other band members got into it and came back on stage to help.
Normally I try to run
And I might even want to hide
'cause I never knew what I wanted
'til I looked into your eyes
Blaine blushed at how beautiful their voices sounded together. Kurt continued, dancing and singing into the microphone as the room responded by thoroughly losing themselves in the performance.
So am I in this alone?
What I'm looking for is a sign
That you feel how I feel for you
Baby please don't let me go.
Blaine smiled at Kurt as the band took over. He removed the guitar and handed it back over, taking his mic and throwing his hands in the air. The crowd did the same. Kurt giggled, picking up his microphone and walking over to Blaine. The two danced and sang.
Baby please don't let me go
Baby please don't let me go
No, please don't let me go
Baby no, no, no, no
Kurt began the second verse, feeling good from the champagne and the way Blaine was looking at him.
What else can I say?
(Can I say)
My heart is beating double time, yeah
And do you feel the same?
(Do you feel the same)
Don't leave me in the dark, no
But baby don't put out this spark, no
I waited so long
I need to know, darling
What is on you mind?
The band smiled as they jammed along, and Kurt and Blaine played cat and mouse across the stage.
Normally I try to run
And I might even want to hide
'cause I never knew what I wanted
'til I looked into your eyes
So am I in this alone?
What I'm looking for is a sign
That you feel how I feel for you
Kurt quickly kissed him, laughing before singing the rest.
Baby please don't let me go
Baby please don't let me go
Baby please don't let me go
No, please don't let me go
Baby no, no, no, no
Blaine had forgotten all about the audience now, a wide smile on his face. He just loved seeing Kurt so out of his element… or in his element really. Bitch face off, enjoying himself without having to deny a relationship or anything. They could just be themselves here, away from those they knew and the truth they were 100% aware of. Here, it was okay. Kurt didn't fight him here.
Pardon the inquisition
Under these conditions
I need a definition
Is it love that we're sharing? Show me that you're caring
Kurt sang the next part with a flirty smile.
You see my fascination
Tell me I'm not mistaken
Give me the information I need….
1, 2, 3—
The crowd cheered at the kiss and sang the rest for them. Blaine didn't pull away for at least a minute and Kurt was completely dizzy when he did. He stared at the man, unmoving. Blaine smiled and faced the crowd of beautiful people again, waving to the bridge and groom. He held the microphone to his mouth and put it back on its stand.
Baby, please don't let me go
Baby, please don't let me go
Baby, please don't let me go
No, please don't let me go
Baby no, no, no, no
When everyone cheered, Kurt was brought out of his reverie. He smiled and waved and then thanked the band. Blaine followed his actions, shaking the bassist's hand before taking Kurt's and leaving the stage. A few people told them they were amazing as the wedding singer began the next song.
It was a while but they'd made their way to the back of the reception hall. Blaine took a seat and took another sip of champagne, smiling happily. Kurt was quiet, but no doubt thinking of what they just did.
"I had a lot of fun with you today," Blaine said. "I know it wasn't a sex marathon but I enjoyed this a lot."
Kurt looked at him and nodded, smiling sweetly. "I know. It wasn't what I expected today to be like but all in all, it was incredible. Thank you."
Blaine smiled. "Thank you, too."
At last
My love has come along
My lonely days are over
And life is like a song
"May I have this dance?" Kurt asked. He stood up and extended his hand.
Blaine took it without hesitation and smiled when Kurt walked them out of view so it was just the two of them. He placed his hands on the small of Blaine's back and started to sway them; their cheeks pressed together as Blaine places his hands on Kurt's shoulders.
Oh yeah yeah
At last
The skies above are blue
Blaine closed his eyes as they moved. He could feel Kurt's hands moving lower. The way they held him like he was all Kurt's and Kurt's only… Blaine liked that.
My heart was wrapped up in clover
The night I looked at you
"She sounds very pretty," Kurt whispered.
Blaine nodded and the stubble on Kurt's cheek touched his own smooth skin. "Yeah. But I have to say your voice is beautiful. I'm jealous of anyone who has the pleasure of hearing you sing often."
Kurt smiled and pulled back shortly, looking into Blaine's eyes. "You know all the right things to say, Anderson. It's a good attribute."
"Well, I'm just being honest."
I found a dream, that I could speak to
A dream that I can call my own
I found a thrill to press my cheek to
A thrill that I have never known
The kiss was gentle at first. Blaine could taste the sweet icing from the cupcakes Kurt had still on his lips. It was sweet, and his lips were soft against his. He hummed softly, not wanting this to end.
It was going to end, and that hurt more than he could express.
Oh yeah yeah
You smiled, you smiled
Oh and then the spell was cast
And here we are in heaven
for you are mine...
At Last
Yeah. This song sucked honestly.
Kurt bit softly on his bottom lip and Blaine tightened his grip on Kurt's shoulders. He deepened it and moved his hands to Blaine's ass, thankful that they were out of eyesight of the party.
"Blaine…"
Blaine opened his eyes and looked at him, automatically lost in a swirl of blues in greens. "Yeah, Kurt?"
"Let's get out of here…"
He took Blaine's hand and slowly led him out of the room. Maybe they should've said goodbye to everyone before leaving but Kurt had things he wanted to do.
...
Blaine pressed the button for the elevator and pulled Kurt inside once it arrived. He was placed against the wall in no time and smiled, reaching for the '5' button as Kurt kissed at his neck.
The smile quickly left after the doors were closed and Kurt was thrusting against him. He didn't know how slutty he sounded when he moaned until then. Kurt had him pinned, grinding at an even rhythm as he sucked hard on his neck.
"I really am crazy about you…"
Blaine slid his hands beneath Kurt's jacket and clutched at his back. "Don't say things like that."
"But I mean it," Kurt confessed, "I swear I mean it." Blaine thrust forward as Kurt was pulling away. "This is our stop."
….
Santana and Rachel stared at Felix as he sat down on the couch in the loft. Both of them had gotten that text from Puck—the one where Kurt was beneath Blaine; the Floridian between his legs. They knew what that meant and Felix looked really pathetic waiting for a call from Kurt.
Rachel's face said it all. Santana didn't really care, but she knew Rachel did. Felix loved him, and hearing from Kurt last night made his whole week. If only he could understand that Kurt wanted something else…
"He's not answering. Maybe he's busy with Finn… but he did say he'd call so," Felix smiled. "I know he will."
"Uh huh," Santana finished filing her nail. "When's the last time you heard from him?"
"This morning," the blonde told her. "He wanted me to know that we're just friends and I respect that."
Rachel nodded. "Good. You shouldn't mope around waiting for a call… friendly or not. Kurt's on vacation—"
"He said he'd call and I don't want to miss it."
"Let's say that he is fucking someone right now—"
"Santana!"
"It's just a question, Berry, relax." the Latina turned back to Kurt's ex. "Let's say he met someone and he's having the time of his life."
"Did he?"
"I'm not saying he did. I just think you sitting around while Kurt lives his life is freaking pathetic."
Rachel sighed.
"We should go out tonight. I know a fantastic club," Santana got up. "I'm going to get ready."
Felix laughed, "Uh, I think I'll pass. You both know I'm not the party type."
"You're going out." Santana reiterated. "Go put on something that screams 'fuck me, I'm single' and meet us back here in a couple hours."
Rachel shrugged and stood up. "I'd love to go out. You should do the same Felix. Go get ready." She went to her room. "Lock up behind yourself!"
The blonde shook his head and eventually got up. "Why am I friends with them?"
….
"I'm ready."
Kurt giggled into Blaine's cheek as he worked his two fingers a little deeper. He crooked them and Blaine's body jerked up. "Are you sure? I've only stretched you with two…"
Blaine nodded hard as he looked into Kurt's eyes. Their clothes were strewn all over the hotel room. There were already marks painting Blaine's body. Kurt added a third finger despite Blaine's pleas, and slowly began to work him open.
"Oh, god…"
"I got you," Kurt smiled, kissing his lips. "Don't worry."
Blaine's legs shook as he clutched at the pillows. He bit his lip and Kurt watched, rubbing his fingers against his prostate. When he began to scissor them, Blaine gasped, rolling his hips up.
"I'm going to take care of you," Kurt whispered softly; eyes locked with Blaine's as he dragged his fingers out slowly. He reached for the lube and Blaine spread his legs, waiting patiently.
"You're so beautiful, you know that?"
Kurt smiled and started to lather his cock up. Blaine's body was still shivering. It was all taut muscles and marked skin, and Kurt wanted nothing more than for it to be his.
It just wasn't that way.
"You're beautiful, Blaine. Just relax."
Blaine nodded. "I'm relaxed… just tell me you won't regret this later."
Kurt raised an eyebrow as he held one of Blaine's knees, placing the head of his cock to the man's tight entrance. "What could I possibly regret, baby?"
Blaine licked his lips and sighed. "You called me baby…."
Kurt looked down at him.
"Are you going to regret this? This … it isn't like the other times we've been together. Maybe it's just me but it feels like there are feelings involved…"
Kurt stared in his eyes and pushed in deeper. Blaine gasped; nails scratching at Kurt's arms. "Fuck… Kurt."
"Maybe I will regret it, but I don't care. Today was amazing," he moved in until he could feel Blaine's ass flush against him. "Shit… you're so tight."
Blaine's breathing was labored as he adjusted.
"I just… you're everything I want and…" he pushed in again and Blaine moaned, "and I know we had this agreement… that some words are better left unsaid, but baby…" Kurt pressed his lips to Blaine's and slowly started to grind, "I would rather go through the pain of having to lose this when the time comes than to deny myself the feeling at all." Blaine's eyes were lust blown and filled with awe at the same time, "You're worth that much, B."
Blaine's nails dug into Kurt's skin again with the next thrust. He smiled at what he was hearing, but then Kurt started to speed up and moans were spilling from his lips. "So… c-can I call you baby?"
Kurt stopped moving and laughed, burying his face in Blaine's shoulder. "I guess pet names are fine. We're going to have to deal with all of this when it's time to part…" Kurt moved slowly, biting his lips as their eyes met again. "Are you okay with that?"
Blaine nodded, rolling his hips. They both moaned. "I'm fine."
Kurt pulled back and slowly thrust in. "I don't know if I'll be okay with that. I don't know if I'll be fine with having to say goodbye to you…"
Blaine laced his fingers in Kurt's hair. "I won't let you say goodbye. This is … oh ... it's only the beginning."
Kurt smiled and kissed Blaine's shoulder before he sped up his thrusts. He held the man's hips and plunged in; eyes rolling back.
Blaine hated to admit it but he was happy with this new agreement. He refused to go back to the casual fling they had before. This was the way it should be.
They may have seemed bipolar but they were exclusive, whether they wanted to hold the title or not. Blaine knew that once Kurt left, he'd still fight for that.
"You feel so good, baby," Blaine said, proud that he didn't have to censor himself. "I wish I could feel you every night."
Kurt bit on the man's ear lobe, still thrusting in. He angled himself and moved deeper, gasping when Blaine's hold around him tightened. "I wish I could fuck you this deep every night. But we've got tonight, right?"
Blaine cried out when Kurt's hand was around his cock. "R-Right… fuck…"
"Are you going to cum for me?" Kurt whispered, kissing along the shell of Blaine's ear. "Cum for me so I can fuck you again, baby."
Blaine's eyes rolled back as he scratched Kurt's back; the New Yorker's name leaving his lips repeatedly. "Please…"
Kurt furrowed his eyebrows, trying to hold off his orgasm. He slammed back in and stroked Blaine faster, hitting the spot over and over.
"OH fuck! Kurt!" Blaine arched up and moaned when Kurt kept him that way, grinding into him, "Oh my god…"
A few seconds later, Blaine was spilling onto his chest and into Kurt's hands. Kurt finally collapsed, thrusting in a few more times before he had joined Blaine. They moaned in harmony, shaking from the intensity of it all.
Not a word was spoken until several minutes later. Kurt pulled out slowly, looking down at the condom and carefully removing it.
"Damn," Blaine let out a long breath and smiled, ruffling his hair. "You're seriously beautiful. I'm not just saying it."
Kurt blushed and shook his head. He tossed the condom near the receptacle and looked down at Blaine. There was no way that Blaine knew what beauty was because he couldn't see himself the way that Kurt did. Blaine right now—lying there looking completely blissed and so… dare he say it… in love. That was what was beautiful.
"How much convincing would I have to do to move you to New York?"
Blaine laughed and gestured for Kurt to join him. After Kurt cleaned him up with a few napkins at the bed side, Kurt lay in his arms. "We have to deal with senior year apart. That going to be hard because I'm not joking when I say I really want you."
Kurt nodded.
"But I know that we can visit one another whenever time allows and that would be enough for me until I graduate."
Kurt sighed, not saying much else. "Yeah."
Blaine looked up at the ceiling of their hotel room. "Is that a no?"
"No, no it isn't. I just… thinking about it is scary I guess."
Blaine nodded and forced a smile when Kurt kissed his cheek.
"Baby?"
Blaine looked down at him. "Hm?"
Kurt smiled. "I just like saying that."
"You were the idiot who didn't want us to, remember that?"
"Shut up," Kurt laughed, shaking his head. "I just didn't want us hurt. But now…"
"Now you do?"
"No," Kurt smiled. "Well not exactly. Now I'm just acknowledging that any pain I feel will be worth it, because you're totally worth it."
Blaine nodded, holding him closer. "And this week isn't the last we'll see of us."
Kurt agreed. "I know. It's just… fear. I hate being afraid."
Blaine looked at him.
"I've been afraid for so long and it's something that I do not look forward to. Falling for you is like the worst possible thing…."
He didn't hear an answer and honestly, why was he shocked? What does one say to that? Kurt kissed his chest and resumed. "While it's the worst thing, it also has the potential to be the best thing I've ever done and you have the potential to be … the one. And that's what so damn scary."
"I know, baby."
Kurt closed his eyes. "What time is it?" he could feel Blaine adjusting a bit to reach one of their cell phones, turning it on. He was much too lazy to turn all the way around and see the clock on the nightstand.
"It's a bit after 9."
"Ok," Kurt said, cozying closer. "Can you fuck me next?"
Blaine smiled and rolled on top of him. "Kiss me and I'll think about it."
