"Blaine," The voice broke Blaine's sleep. "Blaine!" The nudging on his arms made him attempt to roll over. He muttered something inaudibly and Kurt sighed, pushing him back and putting one arm under Blaine's knees, the other on his back. "Baby, I know. But we have to get up." He bent over and picked Blaine up before setting him in his wheelchair."Kurrrrt, why?" Blaine moaned and Kurt rolled his eyes. He tossed some clothes at Blaine's chair and began to dress himself. As it had become normal for them, Kurt automatically helped Blaine dress. "Because," he adjusted the buttons on his own bow tie, "We have school today and you have therapy again this afternoon.""Ew," Blaine groaned as Kurt wheeled him into the kitchen. "I don't want to go." "What?" Kurt turned around with shock. He'd been reaching for a carton of milk, but now he was just leaning on the counter, facing Blaine. In all of his time being around Blaine, rarely anything had shocked him. With Blaine's chivalry, honesty, and love, nothing had ever come as a shock. But this, this was a shock. Why didn't Blaine like therapy? Wait, he shouldn't jump to conclusions. Blaine didn't say-"I don't like it," Blaine rested his arms on the table and let his head fall onto them, big brown puppy eyes looking up at Kurt.Okay, so maybe he did say he didn't like it. But... why? He'd been nudging Kurt's hip all weekend."Why not, baby?" Kurt walked across the table and began massaging the knots in Kurt's back. His shoulders were tense, so he spent a long time simply kneading his shoulders. It wasn't sexual, just tender and loving, but firm enough to ease Blaine's tense shoulders. "You're getting better. You learned this!" Kurt nudged Blaine's side with his own hip.Blaine gave a half-hearted smile, but then sighed sadly. "I didn't learn that. I always knew that I could do it and I guess I realized a few days ago that I hadn't done it since... since the accident. So... I pretended to enjoy therapy. I didn't want you to think I wasn't getting better, that I wasn't trying. I wanted you to be proud. I've been trying so hard, the accident just... it was really bad, Kurt. It-It really messed me up." Blaine pulled his head up but rested his elbows on the table and dropped his head back into his hands. He was holding back sobs. "You know what, Kurt? I'm tired of calling it an accident. Because jumping in front of a bus to save my boyfriend that I love so, so much, that wasn't an accident. It was my love and caring for you. I'd do anything for you, Kurt Elizabeth Hummel. I love you... I love you more than Dobby loves socks," he said with a light giggle. By now, he'd taken Kurt's hands into his own.Kurt gasped. Blaine was sliding his wheelchair and opening the kitchen drawer. "Kurt Hummel, I am graduating high school early this Friday because of all of my valiant efforts and previous courses. The day I graduate, we have been invited to a planned wedding courtesy of Mrs. Rachel Berry-Hudson." He quirked an eyebrow, "I was wondering... would you be my date? However, Mr. Hummel, I do give my best apologies. I allowed her to borrow all of your wedding planning magazines. She also bought us tuxedos. Will you attend with me, Mr. Hummel?" "Oh, Blaine Anderson, I am so proud of you." Kurt nodded and made his voice into a posh British accent, "I would be happy to attend." "Good," Blaine smiled. "And, for that reason, I will be happy to attend my physical therapy session today."
Kurt clasped his hands together. "Great, but thanks to this awesome moment we're going to be late. I'm... I'm so proud of you. I can't say that enough." He threw his arms around Blaine's neck.-"Blaine Anderson," was the first name called. Kurt clapped and cheered, quickly handing Blaine a hankercheif as his boyfriend, who had done the same for him, wheeled across the stage. The grin on Blaine's face as he switched his tassel was one that Kurt would never forget. There were very few times he'd seen Blaine that happy. At the end of the ceremony, all family and friends were invited to get punch and cookies in the Community Room of the school. Kurt and Blaine held hands, even though it was a bit difficult with the chair, Blaine in his bright purple cap and gown. (Which Kurt found totally adorable and was sad that they couldn't afford to buy one, so Blaine had needed to borrow one. He wanted to see Blaine go around the house in that gown if once he could walk again.) "I can't tell you how proud I am of you," Kurt said, leaning down for a kiss. Blaine returned it, but he rushed. Kurt was confused, but before he got the chance to ask, he knew. Many other couples were sharing quick kisses as well, but the principal chose to come over to them. He knew why. They were the only gay couple in the room."Kurt, don't get too upset, he's not..." Blaine whispered just before the man reached them, but he wasn't able to finish his sentence. That was okay for him, though, because he wasn't quite sure the right words to say to Kurt."Now, boys, our school has always been very, shall we say, accepting. But, there have been some, er- complaints. There's a rule about PDA at this school, Mr. Anderson," Blaine flinched at that word, "should very well know that. So, boys, please save that for later. Thank you and congratulations Blaine. Nice meeting you, er, Sir." Without letting the boys respond, the man walked away, rubbing his bald head and walking over to greet a couple whose mouths had barely been seperated for two seconds."How could he just fucking- sorry, Blaine," He apologized once Blaine started holding him back. "I shouldn't ruin your big day.""No, you aren't ruining this big day. Remember, we have to go get in our tuxes! But, first... Kurt, could you take off my gown? No, no," Blaine stopped him when he began to remove his cap. "Leave it on.""What, Blaine, oh my... oh my god," Kurt was at a loss for words. His boyfriend was slowly and shakily getting out of his wheelchair and kneeling on the floor."Kurt Hummel, the wedding planned by Mrs. Rachel Berry-Hudson was not, in fact, for anyone else. It was for us. I love you with all my heart. I'm going to stand at the end of the aisle at OUR wedding today and say, ‘That's my fiance and I learned to walk again for him.' That is, of course, if you let me," he quirked an eyebrow, "Will you marry me, Kurt Hummel?"
