Author's Notes: First Chapter! Hope it is interesting.

Kurt was walking home from the coffee shop when his phone beeped. He pulled his iphone out of pocket and looked at the screen showing that Rachel had texted him asking where he was with her coffee so they could start their movie marathon. He sent a quick reply saying that he would be home soon and put it back in his coat pocket. Before he had a chance to raise his head to see where he was going, he was bumped into someone, sending coffee flying onto the sidewalk.

“I’m so sorry!” He heard someone say while still looking at his coffee Alexander McQueen button-up. “Let me buy you a new coffee?”

“Oh no, it’s fi-“ Kurt cut himself off as he looked up at stranger. The man had absolutely stunning honey-brown eyes and a flattering smile that reached his ears. He was wearing a pair of black converse with some tight-fitting jeans, and a white t-shirt. Oh my gosh, he is gorgeous, Kurt thought to himself. Wait, he is anticipating an answer, after I cut myself off to tell him it’s fine. “I-I…Um, sure. My roommate would kill me if I didn’t get her low fat cappuccino,” Kurt finally replied with a stutter.

“Oh good. You scared me. I thought you were going to have a panic attack, from the way you were looking at your Alexander McQueen shirt.” The man replied with a hint of sarcasm and a large smile.

“Oh! No, it’s ok. I have plenty.” Kurt replied. “You know Alexander McQueen?” They turned towards the direction of the coffee shop and started walking.

The short, curly haired man nearly jumped 20 feet off the ground when he said, “Of course! Who doesn’t?”

“Um, everyone I know?” Kurt said with a small giggle.

“What a shame. So may I ask what your name is?” The man asked with a smile. “My name’s Blaine.”

“Kurt.”

“Well, nice to meet you Kurt, although I would have liked to meet under different circumstances.” Blaine said, holding out his hand for Kurt to take.

“What a shame, but we still met. I call that progress.” Kurt said, taking Blaine’s hand and shaking it. Blaine’s hand was warm and soft, with the exception of his calloused fingers.

“Well, I would say so. Now how about that coffee?” Blaine stated.

“Oh, yes. That would be nice.”

“So, is your roommate going to attack you with vicious words after being late with her coffee?”

“Maybe, but I can always find a way around it.”

“Well, if you can do that, would you want to stay and chat while we drink our coffee?”

“I-I…Um.. Sure, I guess.” Kurt replied with slight hesitance. Is this him asking me out? Is he just being extra nice? Wait, he probably isn’t even gay! Shoot, stop thinking and listen to him, he is saying something.

“-so I was wondering if you wanted to come.” Blaine finished off what he was saying, while taking another step towards the front of the line.

“Sorry, could you say that again?” Kurt felt incredibly embarrassed. He probably just told some long story that would be a pain to retell.

“Oh, I was saying that I have a gig at the Umbrella Café on Friday, and I was wondering if you wanted to come. You could always bring your roommate.” Blaine replied with a polite smile.

“I will have to see if Isabelle would let me have the night off. I usually work Friday nights. But I will ask her and Rachel.” Kurt said. He noticed that they were at the front of the line and asks for a grande nonfat mocha.

“I’ll have a medium drip, please.” Blaine said as Kurt was pulling out his wallet. “Oh, no silly. I told you I would buy you a coffee and I am keeping that promise.” He pulled out his own wallet and handed the cashier some cash. “Keep the change.” He told the cashier. They picked up their coffees and sat at a table in the corner of the shop, next to the window. “So who is Isabelle?” Blaine asked, looking a little disappointed.

“Oh! She is my boss. I work at Vogue.com.” Kurt replied quickly, because he didn’t want Blaine thinking he had a girlfriend. Ew. Don’t get him wrong, he loves Rachel and all the others but that is just disturbing.

“That’s awesome! I don’t have a very cool job. I just work down at the record shop, and occasionally I record some of my own stuff.”

“I find that pretty cool.” Kurt said with a blush. He was flirting way too obviously. He couldn’t help himself, he was so darn hot!

“Oh, well yeah. I guess it kind of is.” Blaine admitted with the shrug of his shoulders. He took a glance at his watch and saw that he was going to be late if he didn’t get going soon. He really didn’t want to go though. Kurt is absolutely gorgeous. Reluctantly, he stood up and said, “I’m sorry, but I have to get going if I want to make it to work on time.”

Kurt saw the way that Blaine looked kind of sad to be going, so he took an extra big step he usually didn’t. “Could I get your number?” Wait, that was too straightforward. “You know, so I can tell you what Rachel says about Friday, and yeah.” He added lamely.

“Of course.” Blaine smiled and gave Kurt his phone and took Kurt’s. He quickly made a new contact saved under “Handsome Blaine ;)”. Not too cheesy, right? Blaine took his phone and handed Kurt his. “So, this means that I will be hearing from you soon?” He asked hopefully.

“Hmm.. I don’t know, I will have to think about that..” Kurt replied sarcastically, with a sly smile.

“Please, do. I will see you hopefully on Friday. Enjoy that coffee, Kurt, it’s really special.” Blaine said with a wink.

“Because you bought it for me?” Kurt implied, watching Blaine walking towards the door.

“Because I bought it for you.” Blaine repeated, walking backwards through the door with a wide smile and a wave. Kurt watched the door that he left through, before ordering Rachel’s coffee and heading home.

End Notes: Reviews would be nice! I could REALLY use some pointers, comments, suggestions, etc. They would help ALOT.
