Blaine stepped out of the elevator on Rachel's floor, his hood was up to draw people away from him in this part of LA. It wasn't a bad part it was just a poorer section and a crowded one at that and this apartment was a larger one of the area.
He began his search for apartment 10D, it wasn't a hard one to find it was near the elevator and even had a cute wreath with the word welcome hanging on the front of the door. Blaine hesitated as he brought his right hand up into a fist before he knocked on the door. Rachel answered quickly and sprang into a hug.
"Oh, it's you, it's really you!" She exclaimed, "I don't believe you actually came. I thought this was all a joke!"
She parted from the hug giving Blaine an opportunity to study her outfit. She had on a white, fringed sleeveless top and a pair of boot cut jeans with holes up and down her legs. She had a pair of black boots on too.
"Wow," Blaine chuckled, "You... look like you're ready to party. But, I must say, how did you go from a black and yellow striped blouse and a long yellow skirt that reached the caps of your knees to this?"
Rachel frowned and looked down at her outfit, "I had nothing to wear for a place like Hooty's so I called up a friend who lives in San Fran. to take me shopping for something. I questioned the outfit at first. I went with it but, I guess it really isn't me."
"No, not the Rachel I met the other day. C'mon, I'll help you find something." Blaine smiled as he lead Rachel back into her apartment.
Blaine began digging through her closet as Rachel sat on the edge of her bed.
"I can't believe you're going through my closet?"
"I can't believe you are taking this so smoothly?" Blaine replied back as he checked out a little black skirt.
"What do mean?" Rachel asked.
"I mean. I'm a very famous rock star who asked an average girl out and is now standing in her apartment and she's acting like it's completely normal." Blaine said as he walked up to Rachel holding the mini skirt, "Here, put this on." He smiled as he handed her the skirt.
"Oh, I'm screaming on the inside. I just know how to act mature." She said as she took the skirt, "But back on my clothing, isn't this a bit more slutty than the ripped jeans?"
"Yes, until we find you the right shirt." Blaine said as he turned back to the closet. Rachel gave him a confused look.
"Are-are you gay?" She asked. Blaine stood stiff.
"Gay? I'm-I'm not gay." He scoffed, back still turned away from Rachel, "You're just taking a stereotype." Rachel nodded, unsure, "Ah, here we go." Blaine said as he pulled out a red and black patterned blouse. He threw it at Rachel, "Now go change." Rachel left, often looking back at Blaine and even stumbling partly into a wall.
Blaine's phone buzzed while Rachel was gone. He pulled it out to see a text from Kurt.
'Photo shoot for Tiger Beat tomorrow -Kurt' Blaine rolled his eyes.
'K -Blaine'
Personally, Blaine didn't know how to feel about Kurt. He liked him. He was a wonderful person, just, always on his back and annoyed Blaine at times. He hoped he didn't come off as a bad person to Kurt.
Rachel returned into the room wearing the outfit Blaine pulled out for her.
"Much better." Blaine smiled.
"Really?" Rachel questioned, "You really like me like this? Because, you know, most people usually make fun of me for my outfit of choice and when I lived in New York I got a makeover but it wasn't me so I changed back to this." She ranted, pacing about the room.
"Rachel, it's fine. This is the one I liked, this is the one I'm taking to Hooty's, and if anybody makes fun of you they'll have to talk to me." Blaine said. Rachel smiled warmly, "Now, let's go." He opened up his arm and Rachel linked hers with his and they left for Hooty's.
"I think I really like her." Blaine said to the makeup artist for Tiger Beat.
"M-hm." She said as she dipped the brush in the powder and began dusting it on his face.
"She's so nice, and funny, and gosh she's amazing."
"That's great Mr. Anderson."
"Her name's Rachel by the way." Blaine said.
"Ooh, I have a friend named Rachel." The makeup artist said as she closed the powder.
"Really?" Blaine asked, interested
"Yes, it wouldn't be your Rachel though, this Rachel's married with three kids." The artist said, "All done." She smiled. Blaine looked at himself quickly in the mirror then left to his photo shoot.
