I coughed softly,to catch the attention of the guys that sat in neat rows in front of me.A dozen heads turned to face me and silence descended on the group.
"Well, thanks for your time," I mumbled,"If there are no more issues that need to be discussed, you can go.I'll see you tomorrow at four."
I could never understand why I had been made lead of the Warblers,or why they depended on my not-too-fantastic desicision making skills the whole time.I was the youngest of the group, only a Sophomore, and I looked even younger.I was quiet.I couldn't keep contorl of a bunch of rowdy teenagers. It was in my nature. But for some strange reason, there I was, struggling, yet succeeding-barely-to take charge.
Jeff bounded up to me,catching me by the shoulders and placing his full body-weight onto my frame, catapulting himself into the air.My knees went from under me,unable to bear his weight, and I collapsed in a heap on the marble floor.Jeff followed.
"Thanks a lot man."he groaned. But he wasn't mad.Nobody ever stayed mad at me for much longer than a minute. That was an another thing I couldn't understand about my fellow Warblers.Had I been anybody else,Jeff would have punched my face in,but instead he stuck out his hand and hauled me up off of the cold ground.
"But I guess it was my fault," he continued, "I'd forgotten that you were a midget."
He nudged my arm with his fist.I laughed it off,but Jeff really didn't know his own strength.
"Hey,now, lay off the poor kid."Nick sauntered over lazily and draped his arm around Jeff. Those two were cute together. So cute,it was unbearable sometimes.
"You okay for a lift buddy?" he asked.
I wasn't.I never was,I was probably the only guy who couldn't drive, and Cooper, being the loving brother that he was, never bothered to get up off of his lazy ass to come and get me.
"Yeah." I lied.
I didn't like taking lifts from others.I never had anything to offer in return, and I hated that feeling.
"Kurt, get in for fuck's sake." Finn yelled.
I didn't want to go anywhere with him.He was crazy at the best of times. But he was also violent, and terrified me,so I climbed into the cab of his pick-up.
"What's the rush?" I questioned, curious as to why he needed me so desperately.
He didn't answer.Instead,he jammed the key into the ignition and the engine roared to a start. We pulled away from the school and I tried a different tactic.
"Hey,Finn,brother,hello?"
"WHAT?"he erupted. His face was red,and that vein on his forhead was pulsing again.
I wriggled in my seat, edging slightly closer to the door, and continued, trying to keep my voice steady.
"Uh,so,where are..." I faltered when he glared at me,his eyes wild."Um,where was S-S-Sam...today..?You know,he wasn't at school?"
He exhaled sharply."That's where we're going pretty-boy.To get Sam.Happy now?"
Oh.That was all.I always feared the worst with Finn.I always had the feeling that we were going to bury a body or something. But Sam was an okay kid.My shoulders relaxed as the tension drained out of them, and I leaned back into the worn material of the car-seat.
"Yes.Thanks."I sighed,relieved.
I wandered out of the school, after saying my goodbyes to Jeff and Nick. They were getting a little too lovey-dovey for my liking, and I wanted to get out of there before they started to eat each other's faces.
The sky was clouded, but the sun was breaking through, also making an attempt to escape.I squinted, and took in the street infront of me.It was clear.
Extra safety precautions had to be taken around this time.Westerville was an okay town, but it was less than half an hour from Lima. And about half an hour ago,McKinley High finished class.
I don't know what their problem is.Well, not everybody in that school is bad,I have to give them that, but the New Directions, their show choir, had a competitive streak that could turn dangerous in the blink of an eye.
I ran over the lyrics of Teenage Dream in my head as I cautiously crossed the road, approaching the pavement opposite slowly. So far,so good.
I re-adjusted my back-pack on my shoulders, and headed on my way.
"SAM." Finn bellowed, and slammed his fist down on the car horn.I was beginning to wonder if he was dealing with some sort of serious anger problem.
Sam jogged out of his house, blonde hair bouncing and hauled himself up into the cab.
"Scoot over baby-face," he teased, "I'm not a skinny bastard like you."
I took more abuse from the New Directions than I ever had from legitimate bullies. These guys meant nothing by it.So I tended to shrud it off.
"So where we headed Finny?" Sam added, imitating Rachel Berry with so much accuracy,I had to double take, just for assurance. "Westerville?Or Dayton?"
"Oh,I'm thinking that the Wondrous Warblers could do with a visit."Finn replied and I sighed again.
Just when I thought that they were willing to have a good, clean evening of fun.
"Guys,I honestly don't think-" I started, but was interupted by Finn.
"I swear Kurt,if you don't shut up,I will throw you out of the car right now,and leave you here to rot."
That comment took me aback.I glanced out the window. We had left the town and were now cruising along an empty road.I shut my mouth.Finn always kept his word. And I did not fancy becoming lunch for the ferrel cats.

Hello!I don't usually review fics, but I had to do this.I love the Outsiders,so I have the feeling that this will be fantastic.Keep going,I loved how you flicked between the two P.o.Vs :D
Thanks hun :)
You're off to a really good start. One thing, though, (and just think of this as me being picky), there need to be spaces after things like commas, periods, quotation marks, etc. Otherwise it's great!
I know, people are always telling me that. It's just a habit at this stage, but I'm trying to kick it. :PNot at all picky, constructive :DAnd thanks :)
Sounds interesting. =) I loved the outsiders. =^-^=
