Today is Kurts first day at his new school. He had picked out his outfit very carefully and checked his hair twice in the mirror as he runs down the stairs and waves goodbye to his father. If Blaine would go to one of his classes? Kurt couldn't stop thinking about him the whole weekend.

Completely in thoughts he opened the door and almost fell down the doorstep because a wooden basket with an huge red ribbon and strangely lookig brown goods inside was standing there. He picks it up and takes a closer look. A little letter sticks inside and he removes it and unfolds it. In small and curvy handwriting was written:

“Good Morning Handsome :)

I was thinking you would be a little excited before your first day at school and I still owe you a proper welcome gift, so I baked you some of my favourite cookies my Mom uses to bake. They are not quite the same 'cause she's still on her business trip and I couldn't remember the recipe properly but I hope you'll like them anyway. I'm looking forward to see you at school or at the coffee shop. (You can't miss it it's directly across the school)”

Blaine

Kurt smiled and a warm feeling spreads out in his stomach. It looks like Blaine thought of him too. And those strange things shall be cookies? Kurt takes one and lifts it up to his mouth. Well it smells like chocolate they can't be that bad. He carefully takes a bite and spits it out immediately, they were totaly oversalted. But still, he loves that Blaine thought of a way to make his day. He can imagine him swirling around the kitchen and mixing all the incredients that he thinks taste well together and nearly burning the cookies because his brother manipulated the timer.

Kurt fastly puts the basket in the kitchen and starts his way to school in a fantastic mood.

Sadly Blaine hadn't seen Kurt today at school but he must have gotten his present because as he came home earlier to change into his work clothes the basket wasn't there anymore. Now Blaine was hoping to meet him at the coffee shop though he has to work. Everytime the little bell above the door rings his head spins around and he hopes to see him. It was nearly the end of his shift as finally (he might have a whiplash from all the head turning) Kurt arrives. He was as breathtaking as the last time he saw him. He carries a leather bag, wears some tight black jeans again (not that Blaine would be complaining) a black and red plaid shirt with white sleeves and a pair of black boots. His cheeks were slightly pink like he would be in a rush and a certain strand of hair was frequently falling on his forehead. His bright blue eyes immediately light up as they spot him behind the counter. Blaine's heart speeds up and he fastly fixes his blue bowtie, he always wears one to prettify his boring work clothes. And he checks his neatly gelled back hair that fortunatly wasn't any longer green, he needed to wash it like a hundred times to get the colour out. He barely understands the order Kurt places and his co-worker passes him two cups which he prepares with extra accuracy. While he puts the lids on them his mind broods over the possibilities why Kurt ordered two coffees. Maybe he was very thirsty or want's to save one for later (he said he had a serious coffee addiction) or worse he has a date with one of his new hot classmates. An idea comes to his mind and he takes a black sharpie to write something on one of Kurt's cups before he called his name to hand him his order.

Kurt steps to the counter and brightly smiles at him.

“Hi, finally I get to see you I missed you at school today. I wanted to thank you for your incredibly sweet present this morning.”

“So you liked the cookies?”

“I appreciated the gesture but let's just say I hope your coffee tastes better.”

Blaine wanted to respond but a girl in a red jacket stepted at Kurt's side and links arms with him.

Kurt looked startled at her presence and turned back to Blaine who gives him a questioning look.

“May I introduce you this is one of my new classmates Rachel. Rachel this is Blaine my... neighbour.”

“It's so nice to meet you Blaine. I knew there was a reason that Kurt wanted me to wait outside. He was so jumpy the whole walk but I'll leave you two alone now.” She smiles, takes one of the coffees and whispers to Kurt “You have an excellent taste Kurt he's so cute.”

Kurt rolls his eyes but Blaine doesn't escape the gentle blush that spreads out on his cheeks while he takes a sip of his coffee to cover it but burns his tongue which draws Blaine's attention even more on him and Kurts blush deepens.

“So is it fit for a king?” Blaine asks to change the subject..

“At least it's definetly not oversalted.”

Blaine cocks his eyebrow and begins to say something but Kurt interrupts him.

“I'd really love to go on talking with you but I think some costumers would murder me if I continue keeping you from your work.”

Blaine looks around and truly a big waiting line had queued while they had talked and about ten cups are piled up next to him.

Kurt takes his coffee and waves goodbye to him and Blaine grins and glances at Kurt's cup to find his secret message he had written on it earlier wereof he's sure will make him smile. But it wasn't there. In panic he realised that Rachel must have taken it earlier and he remebers the embarrassing things he had written on it. He's positive this won't end well but Kurt is already out the door.

As Kurt comes out of the shop he finds Rachel teared up and starring back and force between him and her coffee cup.

Rachel what's going on? Was your coffee that bad?”

I'm so sorry to tell you and I thought you like him and that you would know I have a boyfriend and now the first girl you like here has to break your heart but I can't lie to you and pretend something therfore I become fond of you to much already and..”

Oh my god Rachel, what are you talking about? Stop rambling and tell me what's going on. And why on earth do you have to break my heart? Oh god you aren't someone who turns crazy when she drinks to much caffeine, right?”

Rachel sniffles and shows him her cup on that someone had written with a black sharpie. Kurt reads out loud:“You're my personal caffeine kick. When you're around I'm as excited as after drinking 20 coffees. I put some ice into your coffee 'cause you're so hot.” Then there was a little space and it went on in paratheses.”(Please excuse the lame pick-up lines but I can't find the right words to say. I now we don't know eachother for long but I just can't get you out of my head.)”

Rachel wipes her eyes and looks down. “I'm sorry I don't return your feelings. I hope we still can be friends.”

She looks up hopefully and Kurt bursts out into laughter.

Rachel! I'm not in love with you. And besides I would never use pick-up lines on a cup of coffee to tell you about my feelings. They must be from Blaine and you picked up the wrong cup because I can tell you for a particular reason he's gay.”

He pats encouragingly her back and she caughts him in her arms. Kurt glances secretly back through the storefront towards the silly barista. He worked concentrated but as he handed a customer his coffee their eyes meet and the butterflies in his stomach turn crazy.

As Blaine comes home from school the next day a note hangs at his door. He unfolds the paper:

Can you believe that the cute barista flirted with my friend yesterday? Do you think I still have a chance with him? Maybe you could come over and help me to think of a plan to change his mind.”

Kurt

Blaine grins and throws his schoolbag into the hall. He walks over to Kurt's house and rings.

Kurt immediately opens and beams at him.

“There you are, come in.”

Blaine steps inside the hall. Though they don't live there long it was already perfectly furnished. Beautiful paintings complement the many familiy photographs that were perfectly arranged, a grey stripe is painted at top head of the wall and some fresh flowers stand in a long vase in one of the corners. Blaine just wanted to take a closer look one of the pictures that looked like Kurt in a cheerlaeader uniform as he was pulled away from Kurt and shoved into the kitchen.

“I thought we could bake some eatable cookies. And I'll show you how to distinguish the sugar from the salt.”

“Uh, sure. I'm a quick learner. So which ones are we baking?”

“I thought we would start with something very simple but delicious, almond-chocolate cookies.”

Kurt spreads out all the ingredients at the kitchen counter and hands Blaine the chocolate.

“First we need to melt the chocolate and caramelize the almonds. Then we mix it together and make small heaps. We don't even need to bake them just let them in the fridge for an hour.”

“Sounds yummy.”

They worked silently for a moment next to eachother. Only sometimes brushing hands when Kurt gets a spoon or looks over Blaine's shoulder to check the chocolate.

“You know I think you definetly can bribe the barista with those cookies, they taste delicious.”

Blaine dips his finger into the completely melted chocolate and sucks it into his mouth.

“Hey, don't snack before the cookies are finished otherwise it won't remain enough.”

Kurt tries to smack Blaine's fingers away but he playfully dives away from his hand and accidentally hits the pot with the chocolate. A splash of chocolate lands directly at Kurts cheek.

“Oops.” Blaine grins mischievously and wipes it away with his finger and sucks it in his mouth again.

Kurt gasps and takes the spoon from the pot. Blaine realises his intention to late and chocolate covers his face now too. He licks his lips and dips his finger into the chocolate again. He slowly draws closer to Kurt who grins wide and shoots him a warning glare. He tries to escape but Blaine clutchs his wrist and pushs him into a corner.

He presses Kurt against the counter and their faces come closer.

He can feel Kurt's heart beating as fast as his own. He raises his chocolate covered finger and paints a heart on Kurts cheek. Kurt laughes and daps a brown spot on Blaines nose. Blaine imitates the gesture and kisses Kurt's nose.

“You taste like chocolate, I love chocolate.”

Blaine takes a step back to give Kurt some space but he draws him closer again, looks him deeply in the eyes and finally crushs their lips together. Blaine makes a strangled noise and his excitedly thumping heart skips a beat. He melts into the kiss like the rest of the chocolate in the pot. Kurt lets out a breath like he would be holding it the whole time. His lips are so soft and taste like the most delicious chocolate Blaine has ever tasted. Kurt puts his hands around his neck and he leaned into the touch. They kissed sweetly for a moment till the need for air becomes too strong and they have to break away, their lips partening with a little smack.

“Well, I guess we need to melt some chocolate again.” Kurt says breathlessly and looks at the little puddle that was left in the pot.

“Yeah, but I think we have to clean up a bit first.” Blaine answers, his voice still a little hoarse from the kissing.

The kitchen was a mess. Everything was covered in brown spatters and their faces looked like they'd tested a Native American warpaint.

“Yeah you're right. I'll show you the bathroom so you can wash your face. In the meantime I'll clean the kitchen.”

They walk up the stairs and Kurt leads him to the bathroom.

“Here we are.”

Kurt wants to open the door but Blaine holds him back.

“Wait a second.”

He grabs his shirt collar pulls him close and places a shy kiss on his lips. Kurt smiles into it.

“I needed to do that first.”

Kurt grins happily and walks down the stairs.

Kurt has barely finished cleaning the kitchen as he hears his father opening the front door.

Hey Kurt, are you at home? I met that crazy boy next door. He told me to check on you because you would play with his little brother Blaine and that suspiciously laughter would come from the kitchen.”

Kurt panicked and looked out of the window. There was Cooper lying in a sun lounger just in his trunks his bare chest was dangerously red (he must be lying there for a long time) and he was watching him through a spyglass. Kurt gaps at him with wide eyes. What the hell has he witnessed?! Cooper spots him and knowingly waves at him with a bright smile. Kurt sticks his tounge out and hurries to prevent his father from going into the bathroom and stumbling into Blaine.

Hi Dad. How was your day?”

Burt enters the kitchen and smirks at Kurt's sight.

Good kiddo, but I'm very interested in the story why your face looks like that.”

Kurt gives him a questioning look and touches his face. As he looks at his fingers there were covered in dried chocolate. He had totally forgot about that.

I can explain that...”

In that very moment Blaine enthusiatically comes down the stairs and enters the kitchen.

Okay Kurt, I'm ready for round two.”

His dad shoots him an amused look.

Round two of what?”

Cookies, he meant cookies we were baking, just baking! And the bowl dropped! That's why I'm covered in chocolate. Innocent baking!”

Kurt's face went bright red and Blaine looks shocked at the unfamilar man.

Burt grins broadly now, he takes a step towards Blaine and holds out his hand.

So you must be Blaine. Nice to meet you I'm Kurt's father.”

End Notes: I hope you enjoyed this chapter as much as the first one. I'd love to hear your opinion.I baked the cookies with my friend and they taste even more delicious when you add the almonds ;)

This chapter was awesome. I loved Rachel's reaction to the message on the coffee cup and it was fun to see Kurt try and convince her that he wasn't in love with her. I have decided that Blaine and Kurt making cookies together and getting into a chocolate fight has got to be the cutest thing ever. I found it really amusing that Cooper was watching it all play out and I really enjoyed Burt's reaction to everything. I can't wait to see what happens next.

I truly am so thankful that there are people out there like you<3 who love klaine as much as I do and take the time to give the author a feedback about the story, because that's what I actually do that for, even if only two people would read this I'd love to hear their opinions, so thank you from the bottom of my heart that you reviewed again I hope that you read this and that you like the next chapter :)
