"Night Wes!" Blaine waved goodbye to his manager and grabbed his coat from his locker, and was ready to embrace the New York springtime chill. Literally the only thing that was shaking his mind was the gorgeous man from earlier. Why did he run away like that? He looked so familiar yet so brand new at the same time. He glanced at his cell phone briefly.
No New Text Messages.
Blaine sighed and continued his walk to his apartment. He was absolutely ecstatic for this weekend. Coop was due in on Friday. Blaine was supposed to pick him up and they would spend the entire weekend watching the wonders of the City. He was excited to tell him about the Beautiful Boy, how his beautiful hair stayed perfectly in-tact during the rough winds, his perfectly toned body and Blaine's favorite part of him: his eyes. His eyes glistened in the sun, a perfect combination of his two favorite colors: Blue and Green. The two colors mixed stunningly into one color, and they radiated everything about him. His flawless skin, and his tight, tight jeans. They hugged his body perfectly, toning all the right places.
And oh god Blaine why are you thinking about his ass in the middle of the street? He would save those thoughts for later. Unlocking the door to apartment 775, Blaine turned the knob. He stood in the doorway for a few seconds waiting for Bentley.
"Bent, I'm home!"
The dog came rushing in and almost jumped on Blaine, stumbling him over a bit.
"Hey buddy!" Blaine flicked his labrador's ears and nuzzled his forehead. Bentley was the only man in Blaine's life.
For now.
"You wanna go for a walk boy?" Blaine locked his collar around Bentley's neck and attached his leash. He put his keys on the counter and grabbed a water bottle.
He walked out the door and slammed it appropriately. Blaine adored his dog with all of his soul, but he wished he had someone to share it with.
Maybe I should have been straight. I could have a girlfriend in no time. The depression was coming back.
Yes, Blaine suffered from a hard time after high school. His breakup with his previous boyfriend, Henry, left him a little heartbroken. Mr. Anderson only made it worse. He was completely revolted by Blaine's homosexuality, and refused to even believe it. Girls after girls would come to Blaine's footsteps, but he turned each one of them down, and with it he lost his father's love.
But that didn't matter to Blaine anymore. He had to focus on his future. The past was the past, and he had to drown out those memories. Or nightmares. A combination of the two that haunted Blaine each and everyday. The fact that he had no one to create new, touching, life-stopping, memories with broke his heart. But at least it was only himself who kept him locked up and sad. Blaine could be happy, he just had to try. Blaine needed a rock, a rock to hold him steady. The rock to hold him tight to the shore so he would not wash away from the waves of loneliness.
As Bentley lifted up his leg to pee on a tree, Blaine's heart stopped.
He was there.
The mystery boy was walking side by side with another man. They seemed to be flirting.
Please God don't let them be flirting. Blaine's heart sank a bit when he saw the other man place a hand on the beautiful boy's shoulder.
Blaine noticed that the taller gentleman walked away, and the gorgeous soul was all alone.
And walking toward him. Oh God, he was walking straight at Blaine.
Blaine kneeled down and pretended to be talking to Bentley, but not in a creepy way. He softly carressed his coat and kept his eyes aimed down and away.
"What breed is he?" The boy was right behind him.
And talking to him. He was talking to Blaine.
Oh My God turn around and say something you idiot! Blaine internally screamed.
"Uh he's a l-l-labrador." Blaine turned around and faced the boy. He immediately found his eyes and smiled a bit awkwardly. He hoped he didn't look like a creep.
"He's adorable. What's his name?" The boy leaned down, careful to keep his knees off the ground. He began petting Bentley's head, scratching his ears affectionately.
"Bentley. He's only 3. I adopted him a few weeks ago from the ASCPA, he was all alone. I could not let him suffer one more day there. You could say we..connected, I guess." Blaine expressed his love for his dog and began walking, the boy at his side.
"Aw, that's adorable. I'm Kurt Hummel, by the way. I think I might've seen you earlier.." Kurt grabbed his hands softly and looked down, a hint of a blush on his cheeks.
"Yeah..this morning. I'm Blaine Anderson, it's nice to meet you." Blaine held his hand out formally, waiting for the shake. He could not wait to touch his hand. His cute, adorable, perfectly manicured hands.
Kurt gripped his hand softly and squeezed gently as he shook.
His hands are perfect. They're so fucking soft. I think I'm in love..with his HANDS. Blaine smiled and instantly blushed, he hoped Kurt wasn't looking.
"So do you live near here?" Kurt lingered his hand for a bit longer, a bit longer then necessary and dropped it down to his side.
"Yeah. That apartment back yonder, 775." YONDER? Really Blaine, really? This is 2012, not 1876.
Kurt seemed to be amused, he giggled quietly and smiled at Blaine.
"Yonder, Southern are we?"
"No, I'm uh. I'm actually from Ohio. I just graduated from Dalton Academy a little while ago." Blaine tugged on Bentley's leash harder, he kept nuzzling into Kurt's leg as he walked beside him.
"Oh really, me too. Lima, for myself. I graduated from McKinley. I think we actually versed the Warblers a few times for my Glee club. But I doubt you even knew what that was, so nevermind." Kurt was rambling. And god damn it, it was adorable.
"I actually was in the Warblers, I do remember. The New Directions, right? You guys beat us everytime. You were great. Well, not y-you I mean, the club. But I'm sure you were good too!" and now Blaine was stuttering. This would not end well. He must think he's a freak. Or a creep. Or both..
"Why thank you, but yeah. Well, I have to go. It's getting late. Wouldn't want my cat to starve, eh?" Kurt smiled and began his descent toward his own apartment.
"Wait! I was um.. wondering if you wanted to trade numbers? I mean we don't have too, but I think it'd be really n-nice to see you again.." Blaine looked hopefully across the street to Kurt. Please say yes.
"Sure, just give me your phone and I'll plug it in." Kurt reached towards Blaine's outstretched hand and grabbed his blackberry. He plugged in his number and handed it back to Blaine.
"All set. Make sure you text me! Goodnight, Blaine." Kurt smiled again and walked away.
Blaine took this oppurtunity to stare at his ass. My god, it was fine. He surely hoped he was gay. But, giving Blaine's luck, he was most likely straight. Straighter than a horizontal line. He just wanted a friend, and Blaine would give him that.
They both could benefit from this, right? A friend.
That's all.
