"Medium Latte please." The tall, slim, blonde girl ordered from the other side of the barista table.
"Is that all?" Blaine asked and evaluated this customer.
Using his homosexuality as an excuse, he had the natural tendencies to judge every outfit and personality that seemed to pass by. She seemed like a business woman, obviously ignorant to the courtesy of others and she seemed professional. He studied the careful outline of the street, and the beautiful skyline in the distance. It was mid-morning, and the middle of Blaine's shift. He could not wait to leave today. In other words, Blaine absolutely detested his job at Starbucks. The customers were rude here in New York and very different from his job in Lima, Ohio. But he knew this was just the beginning.
He knew he had places to go in life and things to accomplish, and he was only 21 years young. He has all the time in the world, right? He just had to get his priorities straight.
But would he ever?
His life was bland and stale, a static reprocussion of nothing important. Sure, he had a few friends and some of his family, but he didn't have the missing piece to his puzzle. Blaine was the only out gay guy in his friend group, which he didn't mind too much. But he just felt alone sometimes and was very tired of being the 3rd wheel. Now Blaine knew he wasn't bad looking, and he knew he was intelligent. He just had to wait. And wait. Someone will come along, they always do. Because in fairytales, no one ends up alone, and fairytales most certainly do come true in New York City.
"Yes, and make it quick would you?" The blonde discreetly rolled her eyes and paid her $4.50 and made her way over to the waiting area.
"Of course." Blaine honestly wanted to tell the girl to "go fuck yourself with a porcupine" but he was too nice for that. He understood that it was rush hour, and hell this was New York. Make it or break it, babes. He handed the order over to the Barista and waited for the next customer. It was a little slow this morning to be honest, usually at 10AM on a Tuesday the rush was insane. Blaine was just excited that he only had a few more hours on this shift and he could go back to his relaxing apartment and catch up on Doctor Who.
The next few seconds of Blaine's life changed his perspective on Love and the World together.
Blaine honestly just believe he noticed the most stunning, perfectly created human being in his entire life. Actually, the entire Universe. This tall, perfectly coiffed individual had the most intricate body and clothing style. Blaine fell in love with one glance.
He stared at the man as he passed by the window, but noticed he did not dare come in when they briefly locked eyes. A little disappointed and confused, Blaine looked away and walked over the coffee order to Blondey. He gave her a trained smile and a polite goodbye, and got ready to work the register for awhile. For the last few moments of his shift, he could not shake the gorgeous, jaw-dropping man from his mind.
But who the hell was he?
