Blaine groaned as he awoke from his long night of lovely dreams. He rolled around on the unfamiliar bed he was resting in, slightly shocked to realize there was a figure next to him. The pang of pain hit his head first, noticing that he had a hangover. Turning his body over completely, he tried to scope out the body curled up into the feetle position next to him.
Kurt.
Oh My God I'm in Kurt's bed. In his apartment. Next to him. And holyfuckingshit we're naked. Blaine started to ramble on with his thoughts, a rush of happiness and panic hitting him like a truck.
"Ow, too much thinking." Blaine annouced out-loud. He forgot that Kurt was trying to sleep, and clamped his hand over his mouth to prevent any more words from pouring out.
"TOO LATE FOR SECOND GUESSING,
TOO LATE TO GO BACK TO SLEEP,
IT'S TIME TO TRUST MY INSTINCTS
CLOSE MY EYES AND LEAP!
IT'S TIME TO TRY DEFYING GRAVITY,
I THINK I'LL TRY DEFY-"
Kurt made a loud noise somewhere between a scream and a painful groan as he rolled over to punch his alarm clock square in the face.
"MAKE IT STOP!" Kurt kept hitting buttons to stop the onslaught of music drowning into the room, so he just unplugged it with a sigh.
Blaine started to giggle as he put his boxers on, looking down at Kurt's exposed body. Pale as ice, mixed in between a beige comforter. The scene was quite lovely from this angle.
"Was that you? Singing?" Blaine asked, pulling an undershirt on and then reaching around to look for some sort of pants to cover up with.
"Yeah, my friend Rachel set it as that ages ago. It's my favorite Wicked song. I sang it years ago in Glee club." Kurt reminisced, sitting up in bed and rubbing his temples as calmly as possible.
"Do you want me to make you some coffee? I'm sure I can find my way to the kitchen.." Blaine went to walk toward the door, pausing as it was half-way opened to gain lee-way from Kurt.
"Oh god, yes please." He stood up, revealing that he had a pair of nice briefs on, his skin looking flawless as always.
They went on a fairly basic routine, as if they had done this for years. It wasn't awkward, it was comfortable and normal. Blaine was making coffee as Kurt got dressed, joining each other at the table they were on the previous night.
As soon as they sat down, they both bursted out into laughter. They had fornicated on this table just a few hours earlier, and now they were going to eat on it.
"Is this..sanitary?" Blaine asked between hits of laughter, clutching his mug tightly.
"I don't think so. But oh well, it's Thursday at 11am. I could care less." Kurt sighed, sipping his steaming cup of coffee in front of him.
"Mmmm. Don't you have class at 3?" Blaine crossed his legs under the table, looking around the kitchen for something to eat.
"I do. You're more than welcome to walk with me to class if you'd like. I have some croissants if you want to eat. You must be starving." Kurt walked up and moved his way to his countertops, which were granite and very clean.
"That'd be great. I actually have a job interview at 3:30, so I'll just go from there." Blaine smiled at him, standing up to wash his mug out at the sink.
"That's awesome Blaine. For where?" Kurt beamed up at him, leaning down to pour some cat-food into his cat's bowl.
"Well, you know about my auditions for that show. So I had to find something that would pay decent and not be so...demanding. So I signed up at PetsMart." Blaine's smile radiated throughout the room, he was obviously excited for the opportunity to be around animals.
"Aw, that's adorable. Good luck." Kurt opened up the drawer in his fridge with the ham and cheese, pulling out some condiments to go with the croissants.
"You want to make your own? I have no idea what you'd like.." Kurt asked, frowning down at the ingredients in front of him.
"Awesome. Kurt, I have a question.." Blaine tried not to look up at him, and began to work on his breakfast instead.
"Shoot." Kurt was also deep in concentration at placing ham inside of the warm croissant.
"What...are we?"
"Oh." Kurt looked up at Blaine then, trying to manage eye-contact without making it too awkward. Kurt instantly felt like an idiot for not responding at first, and hoped it didn't upset Blaine too much. He somehow couldn't formulate the words. He obviously had feelings for Blaine, but they didn't know each other for long.
However, you can't place a time requirement on true love.
"U-uh.. Nevermind. Forget I asked." Blaine nervously manuerved himself to the table, taking his breakfast sandwich with him.
"No, no it's fine. I just... what do you want it to be?" Kurt took his plate with him also as he walked to sit down across from Blaine. He took a piece off the side and placed it into his mouth slowly. Delicious.. Kurt thought.
"I-I.. don't know. We've done..things, that "friends" don't do. And I'm sorry if this upsets you or irritates you or whatever, but I think. I think that I.. have feelings for you. I like you, Kurt..a lot." Blaine had to whisper that last part, it seemed too risky to be placing out there so quickly. But it just felt right, like it had to be said. The words hung in the air for a few seconds as Kurt swallowed.
"I like you too, Blaine. I do." Kurt's smile stretched from ear-to-ear. He genuinely seemed happy, and he really was. He meant every word he said, he actually loved Blaine but didn't want to scare him off to quickly. They just felt..perfect together. Like the Sun was aligned perfectly with the planet, the stars were strung together to make them everything exact and gentle.
The words were smoothe and careful, they had to be said and they meant so much more than just 4 words.
"So..boyfriends?" Blaine asked, hoping to not push Kurt over the ledge with the statement.
"Boyfriends." Kurt agreed, reaching over to grab at Blaine's hand.
Their hands connected instantly, and their fingers intertwined together. It felt amazing, the sparks ran up their spines and through their bodies. This, right here. Is what true love is. There isn't a requirement, it just feels right when it happens. And here these two boys were, ready to act on their love and admit it. Honestly, this was perfect. It was simple and easy, comfortable and lovely all at the same time.
This was the beginning of something wonderful.
