Blaine Anderson gripped his guitar holder and slung it over his shoulder. He sighed contently, glancing around the room filled with bashful smiles of young, careless souls. Blaine volunteered each weekend to sing to these charming children. Wanting to make their last days filled with joy and stuffed to the brim with the healing power of music, was his only source of power towards weekends. Blaine always tried to refrain from becoming too attached to the wonderful, innocent little ones, but he ultimately failed.
Today's Friday session began at 5:30PM before dinner, not too late for everybody to be awake. The nurses nearby stopped to glance at the upcoming performance, drowning themselves in the amused looks on each of the patients faces.
"Hey guys! Tonight's show will be dedicated to our gone but not forgotten friend, Timmy." Blaine sighed as he began the opening chords to "Good Riddance" by Green Day. He was strict on decision time, and he needed to practice this song for the upcoming Glee club graduation performance.
The group of anxious children began clapping just as he started. A young girl in the front, Miranda, gave a glorious smile up at Blaine. She was diagnosed with sickle-cell anemia and was expected to whither away within a few months. Blaine had become extremely attached with her, and they enjoyed each other's company. She was a beautiful young girl with a cherubic face, and this tragic disease she was pained with for her entire life struck Blaine's heart achingly.
"Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road.
Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go.
So make the best of this test and don't ask why, it's not a question but a lesson learned in time.
It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life."
Blaine harmonized one of his favorite goodbye songs beautifully, earning a gaze from most of the staff and tears dwindling into their eyes.
As he got to the guitar solo, he noticed a lovely figure wandering out from Room 575. The boy was dashed with a ghostly pallor, and his body shimmered with a bony statute. He had chestnut hair that sat perfectly atop his gorgeous head, the boy had an absolutely stunning face. He couldn't see too perfectly from his stool, but he could tell that the boys irises danced with numerous colors. The boy smiled at him once, before turning his gaze around to the Nurses. One walked over into his room, and disappeared into the haze of darkness behind of him. The young soul kept his feet planted in the hallway, seeming to be analyzing Blaine's singing carefully.
Blaine opened his mouth to sing again, repeating the chorus nonchalantly, eyeing the crowd gathered around him.
All of the children smiled up at him with curious faces. He knew that most of them didn't understand the context thoroughly, but they understood the simple jist of it.
"I hope you had the time of your life.."
He plucked the last few strings, getting teary-eyed himself as he closed his eyes to regain his composure. When Blaine took his guitar off of his shoulder, standing it up against the wall he alternated his gaze toward the adolescents in front of him. Some of them were just a few years younger than Blaine's 18 ongoing years. Miranda ran over to him and clamped his hand, dancing around him ruthlessly.
Blaine and her made eye contact, and he squeezed her hand lightly. When Blaine noticed that the special unit staff had disappeared, he tuned his vision to the same spot in the hallway where he noticed the curious, wonderstruck boy.
As Blaine's eyes raked over the spot and surrounding areas, he noticed that the boy was gone and the door to Room 575 was shut tightly, not a single indication to whether the boy was interested or still intrigued with Blaine's puzzling song.

I like it, but I think that chapter needs to be longer- you will draw more reviews with one that hints a little more as to where the plot will lead. Also maybe a more descriptive or mysterious summary? But otherwise I enjoyed it, so keep writing and hope you get more reviews! x t
