"Relax." Kurt looks around, takes Blaine hands and squeezes it once, fast, the warmth of Blaine's skin rapidly gone - too rapidly for Kurt's liking. "It's going to be okay, they are going to love you."
"You don't know that."
"Yes, I do." He says just as the door opens and Mr. Schuester walks in, Blaine's head instantly flying up to look at him. He hides both hands between his own legs, feet moving up and down.
"So, straight to bussiness - we have an audition today!" Mr. Schue claps his hands together, eyes finding Blaine between the students. "Hey, Blaine, can you come down here?"
He doesn't look at Kurt when he nods, stands up and walks towards the teacher.
"So, everybody, this is Blaine Anderson. I hope you have something for us?"
Instead of answering, Blaine looks at the band and points to the guy with the acoustic guitar. "Hey, do you mind if I borrow that for a minute?"
"Not at all, dude," the guy is already handing him the instrument. "Just be careful."
Blaine smiles at him and takes the guitar, then sits on the empty chair in the middle of the room, facing the entire group. Only then does he look up at Kurt, who nods encouragingly.
And then he starts playing.
That's- oh, that is not even fair.
He's not even on the second verse and the whole club is already dancing on their seats, some of the girls even joining on backing vocals, and the song is so damn fun and honestly, absurdly cute, that Kurt finds himself grinning during the entire performance.
"I just wanna feel today, feel today, feel today. I just wanna feel something today." He sings, so happy and sincere. "Open me up and you will see, I'm a gallery of broken hearts. I'm beyond repair, let me be. And give me back my broken parts."
As the song goes on, Blaine seems to build more confidence, voice growing - and glowing - through the notes.
"I just wanna know the day, know the day, know the day. Know that maybe I will be okay. Know that maybe I will be okay."
Blaine throws him some glances, beaming like a five-year-old - and Kurt shakes his head and sinks his teeth on his bottom lip and looks down, can't help the blush, doesn't really care much - or at all. Then the song is over and the room bursts into applause, his boyfriend smiling and so happy and that's exactly how Kurt always wants to see him - full of felicity.
"Blaine! That was really good!" Mr. Schue says loudly.
"Yeah, totally!" Kurt hears Brittany all but scream, jumping up and down on her chair, pony-tail leaping.
"I have admit, the hobbit's got some talent," Santana mutters, shaking her head.
"Mr. Schue, if you don't let him join the club right now I swear to God-" Mercedes says from beside Kurt, stopping when he closes his fingers around her wrist, knowing where that sentence was about to go.
"No need to worry, Mercedes," their teacher grins. "Welcome to Glee Club, Blaine!"
*
"You didn't tell me you were joining Glee Club," Rachel says that week during lunch, taking a bite of her apple."
Blaine takes a deep breath. "Well, you- you know, I've always loved singing, and I missed it, so... Why not?"
"Uh, maybe because it's incredibly lame and they're all losers?"
"That is not true." He closes his eyes, opens them. "Didn't you use to be a member, back on sophomore year?"
"There is a reason why I left." Rachel looks up at him, big brown eyes almost pleading. "What are you doing, Blaine? First you start talking to that Kurt guy-"
"I don't see-"
"No, let me finish. You've been acting weird lately and you know it. We don't go out anymore and you don't call or text and I know you've been missing football practice and now you're joining glee club?" She pauses, sucks the air in. "Can you please tell me what is going on?"
"Nothing is going on! It's just a club, Rachel, why make such a big deal out of it?"
"It will ruin our reputation!"
"I'm still on the football team, I'm still one of them." He tries to stay calm, bites his tongue to keep some words in. "Quinn and Brittany and Santana are on the club and their reputation is still intact, isn't it?"
"Yeah, but Blaine-"
"Rachel."
"I-"
"I know you love singing. I've heard it before, and I know you're amazing. I won't ask why you left the club or why you don't join it again because, well, it's pretty damn obvious- but you should understand." He looks right into her eyes. "Please don't make me quit."
That seems to get her, and she nods, crossing her arms in defeat. "Okay."
*
Wet, damp lips agains his neck, soft hair between his fingers. "Kurt-"
"Shhh." Kurt's breath is hot against his skin, and then there are lips on his, moving slowly and passionately.
"We- anyone- anyone could walk in."
"Nobody will see us," he whispers against Blaine's mouth, biting on his bottom lip and sucking it into his mouth. "I missed you..."
Blaine kisses him again, hard and firm.
They don't always do that- make out at school, that is. They are always careful, with looks that don't last more than a few seconds, texting instead of talking to each other in front of people, stealing kisses only in empty classrooms and only fastly, just a touch of lips before they run to their respective classes - but not this. They have never done this, not at school, and it's terrifyingly amazing and Blaine doesn't- can't- stop.
But there is a huge and open window, though, and there's no lock on the door and he should, he should tell Kurt to stop, but- but his mouth and his hands and his tongue-
The uncomfortableness on his pants is suddenly becoming too much to ignore (and for the first time ever Blaine is grateful for his uniform, it is hiding so much), but he can't help pushing Kurt even closer, his head hitting the wall behind him, Kurt's hands cupping his face and Kurt's lips moving steadily against his.
"God, Kurt," kisses on his collarbone, and he keeps his hand on Kurt's hair, urging him to keep going. "You-"
"Shhh, quiet, people could hear us."
And Blaine obbeys, closing his eyes and finding Kurt's lips again.

If there is something Santana is good in, it is knowing when people are lying or hiding something.
She saw it when Quinn swore her baby was Finn's - and frankly, how did anyone believe that when everything about Finn screamed virgin? - and she saw it with her parents (when her dad started coming home late at least three times a week) and she saw it this week on glee club.
Blaine and Kurt are definitely fooling around.
How can she be the only one to see it, for the love of God?
It's so fucking obvious! The longing looks, the smiles, the way Kurt blushes like a teenage girl whenever Blaine grins at him - it is so. Damn. Clear.
And if she wasn't sure before, Santana had more than enough proof when she was walking down the school and saw weird movements from behind an open classroom window, and when she turned her head to look - there they were. Kurt pressing Blaine against a wall, the classroom deliciously empty, and damn, they were really going at it-
But she knows what it's like, having to hide.
Sometimes, it just feels like she could throw everything out of the window and scream, "fuck it, that's who I am, and if you don't like it go fuck yourself-" but it's far from being that simple. There are feelings to deal with and mean comments she is not ready to hear and - not to mention - what people will say behind her back. It's complicated and fucked up and she understands.
So she won't say anything.
For now, at least.

Kurt has a problem.
It's stupid and pointless but he can't, just can't ignore it.
He knows how Blaine feels, knows he wants to be with him - and the mere thought brings a smile to his face. But.
He hates to watch Rachel walking under Blaine's arm everyday, hates when she kisses him and how Blaine does nothing but return the kisses, hates watching them walk together up and down the halls and he hates it, hates being jealous, but that's exactly what it is and God, he hates it-
It's so stupid, because Kurt knows it's not real, knows he is Blaine's boyfriend but. But.
It still sucks to watch.
He can't help but imagine what it would be like to be allowed to walk hand-in-hand with Blaine, to be able to kiss him hello and goodbye and in-between classes and when he sees Rachel doing it instead of him - it should be me - that terrible feeling of jealousy and anger creeps right into his gut.
So, yeah. He has a problem.

From Kurt: Hey, you. Are you coming over today?
From Blaine: Can't. :( I promised Rachel I'd help her with homework...
From Kurt: But I miss you. :(
From Blaine: Aw, I miss you too... Tomorrow, though? Promise. I'll bring cookies.
From Kurt: Promise?
From Blaine: Of course.
Kurt smiles despite the disappointment of not seeing Blaine (trying desperately not to think about Rachel), and his heart beats faster when he realizes he was typing out an, "I love you."
Oh.
Comments
This was really good. I like that Santana is willing to keep quiet about what she knows and saw. It is great to see that she understands what they are going through. I enjoyed seeing Blaine stand up for his decision to join the glee club when Rachel tried to convince him to quit. I can't wait to see what happens next and to see how long Kurt can ignore his jealousy.
Thank you a lot, honey, and thank you for sticking around. <3
