Author's Notes:

Blaine awoke the next morning, his pillow feeling slightly harder than normal and...crap, was his pillow breathing?! He opened his tired eyes and looked up to see that his pillow was in fact Kurt. Grinning to himself, he snuggled closer to Kurt, enjoying the warmth that surrounded him.

"Mmm, morning gorgeous" Kurt mumbled sleepily, tightening his arms that were wrapped around Blaine's waist.

"Morning" Blaine replied, closing his eyes contendedly. His heart stopped for a second, and he sat bolt upright. The events of the night before came flooding back, and the happy, content feeling he'd experienced for all of 30 seconds vanished.

"My dad kicked me out" he whispered, shocked. "He actually kicked me out. He doesn't want me as a son anymore. I'm a complete failure"

He didn't cry, just sat there, completely gobsmacked.

"Oh, sweetheart, you're not a failure, not in any way. Your dad just has different views on what's okay and what's not" Kurt comforted, rubbing Blaine's shoulders in an attempt to calm him down.

"But that's the problem. In his eyes, I'm the thing that's not okay. I should have seen this coming, ever since I told him he hasn't looked at me the same way. I stopped being "my son Blaine, he's top in his class, very intelligent, very handsome too, going to be a real ladies man soon, aren't you Blaine?" and I became "my...son....Blaine....off you go now Blaine, the normal people have to talk" Normal people? Am I not normal? I thought that my lifestyle was completely normal, just slightly different to what other people's. I just wanted to be happy, how was I supposed to know that the one thing that I thought would make me happy - everyone I love knowing the real me - would in fact fuck up my entire life"

"Blaine, sweetie, you are normal! You're completely normal, and if you're not, then neither am I. True, our lifestyle is different than other's, but it's just as great. We can still love, we can still have children, in some places we can still get married, but hey, we're going to New York as soon as the school year is over, and gay marriage is legal there, so we're pretty much there on that one too. We're normal, 100% normal"

"I know, I know" Blaine sighed, burying his face in his hands. "I just - god, I don't even know. One thing I do know for sure though, is that whatever happens, nothing can tear us apart, and even though I've been kicked out of my biological family, I've got a family I can come to who's happy to have me, and accept me for who I am, and that family also happens to have the man I love in it"

"I love you too" Kurt smiled softly, taking Blaine's hands and kissing his knuckles. "So much"

Blaine smiled back at him and closed his eyes for a second.

"Come on, let's go get some breakfast. I don't know about you, but I'm starving" Kurt winked, pulling Blaine out of bed and leading him downstairs.

"Are we the first people up?" Blaine asked, walking into the kitchen.

"Yup. I normally am anyway, nobody will mind. Now, what do you want to eat? Pancakes, waffles..?"

"Oh, just toast is fine" Blaine mumbled, sitting down at the table. Pancakes did sound delicious, but he didn't want Kurt to go to any trouble just for him.

"Don't be ridiculous, and I'm not just going out of my way to do this for you, although you are special enough for me to do that, but I normally make something along those lines for breakfast anyway, so take your pick" Kurt smiled.

"Is pancakes okay?" Blaine asked, quietly.

"Of course it is. One batch of pancakes coming up"

Kurt set up the kitchen and started making breakfast leaving Blaine to sit comfortably in his seat and watch him work his magic.

"You're a really great cook you know" Blaine grinned, eating his pancakes at record speed.

"I've been told a couple of times" Kurt smirked, tucking into his own breakfast.

Once he'd cleaned away, he held out his hand to Blaine and lead him back up to Kurt's room.

"Come on, we should get dressed, it's Monday"

"Oh god, I forgot about school" Blaine groaned, falling onto the bed.

Just as Kurt was pulling Blaine up from the bed, Blaine pulled him into his lap and kissed his neck.

"Nuh-uh, come on, you're not putting off getting dressed any longer, we have to go to school" Kurt laughed, trying not to give in.

"But Kuurrt, I want to kiss you" Blaine smiled, pressing the tiniest of kisses to Kurt's lips.

"No way, if you're going to kiss me, kiss me properly"

Blaine dipped his head and brought their lips together in a fiery, intense, passionate kiss. He pulled apart and rested their foreheads together.

"Good enough?" he whispered.

"Perfect" Kurt whispered back. "Now you need to get dressed"

He stood up and stared pointedly at Blaine until he did the same.

Just as Kurt had gotten his Cheerio's uniform out of his closet, his dad knocked on the door.

"Hey kiddo, just thought that I'd let you know that I called the school, and said that you're both not goin' in today. You had a pretty rough night, an' I thought that you might like the day to recover for a bit before goin' back in"

"Thanks dad!" Kurt grinned, looking catching Blaine's hopeful eye. "Yes, this means that you can get back into bed"

Blaine wooped and leaped back into the bed, pulling the covers up over his head.

"It's no problem, now I'm goin' to the shop, an' I'm gonna be there all day, an' Carole's working at the hospital all day, which means that you'll have the house to yourself for the entire day. I'm trustin' the both of you to not do anythin', is that clear? I know that I can't be here to stop anythin', but I'd prefer it if you didn't. If you do, I want you to be careful an' respect each other. Kurt, I've already talked to you about protection, an' I'm trustin' that Blaine, you know everythin' that you need to. I won't be back until late, an' neither will Carole, an' Finn's goin' to Puck's after school, so the earliest that anyone will be back is around 8. As I said, be careful"

With a stern look at the two boys, Burt closed the door and headed off to the shop. Blaine popped his head out from under the cover and opened the other side up.

"Come on, get back into bed with me, it's so warm and comfy, and we've got all day together, we can sleep in for just a little bit"

"But I'm not tired" Kurt huffed.

"So? We don't have to sleep, we can just lie here and talk. We don't even have to talk, but to be honest I really just want to hold you right now"

Blaine pouted and held out his arms invitingly.

"Oh go on then" Kurt laughed, crawling back into bed and into Blaine's arms. He pulled the covers around them and laid his head on Blaine's chest.

"See, this isn't so bad, is it?"

"No, not bad at all" Kurt chuckled, settling himself in Blaine's arm. After all, he was probably going to be here for the next few hours anyway.
